HP Approaches the Magic World

Chapter 771 Snape's Visitor

Minutes ago, many miles away at the Magical Research Society.

The mist that once hung outside the Prime Minister's window is now floating on a dirty river.

The river is winding and winding, with overgrown weeds and piles of garbage on both sides.

A huge chimney, a relic of an abandoned mill, stood tall, eerie and ominous.

There was no sound everywhere, only the whimpering of the dark river water, and no signs of life. Only a lean fox sneaked down the river bank, sniffing hopefully at a few fish and potato chips in the deep weeds.

wrapping paper.

At this time, with a soft popping sound, a slender figure wearing a hood appeared out of thin air by the river.

The fox was stunned, staring at this strange new figure with a pair of alert eyes.

The figure seemed to be figuring out its position. After a while, it walked forward with brisk steps, its long cloak rustling across the grass.

There was another pop, louder than the one before, and another hooded figure appeared.

"etc!"

The fox was almost lying in the low bushes at this moment. Hearing this hoarse cry, he was even more frightened.

It swooped out from its hiding place and ran to the shore.

There was a flash of green light, a scream, and the fox fell to the ground, dead.

"It turns out it's just a fox," a woman's disdainful voice came from under the hood, "I thought it was an Auror - Sissy, wait a minute!"

However, the person she was chasing just stopped to look at the flash of light, and was now climbing towards the river bank where the fox had just fallen.

"Cissy—Narcissa—listen to me—"

The second woman caught up with the first woman and grabbed her arm, but she broke away.

"Go back, Bella!"

"You must listen to me!"

"I've heard it before. My decision has been made. Leave me alone!"

The woman, Narcissa, climbed to the river bank, where an old railing separated the river from a narrow cobbled alley.

Another woman, Bella, followed immediately.

They stood side by side, looking at the rows of dilapidated brick houses across the alley. The windows on the houses looked dark and lifeless in the night.

"He lives here?"

Bella asked in a contemptuous tone: "In this Muggle garbage dump? Our people must have never visited it before -"

But Narcissa didn't listen. She had already slipped through a gap in the rusty railing and was hurrying through the alley.

"Sissy, wait a minute!"

Bella followed, her cloak flowing behind her.

She saw Narcissa quickly cross an alley between houses and turn into another almost identical street.

Several street lights were broken, and the two running women were sometimes illuminated by the lights and sometimes shrouded in darkness.

Just as the woman in front turned another corner, the woman behind caught up with her. This time she finally grabbed her arm and pulled her around, so that the two of them stood face to face.

"Sissy, you must not do this, you can't trust him——"

"Even the Dark Lord believes in him, doesn't he?"

"The Dark Lord must be... I believe... must be mistaken."

Bella said breathlessly. She looked around to see if there was anyone, her eyes twinkling under the hood.

"No matter what, we can't reveal the plan to anyone. That would mean betraying the Dark Lord—"

"Let me go, Bella!"

Narcissa roared, pulling out a wand from her cloak and holding it up in front of the opponent threateningly.

Bella just smiled.

"Sissy, do this to your own sister? You wouldn't-"

"There's nothing I can't do now!"

Narcissa said in a low voice, with a trace of hysteria in her tone. She slashed the wand down like a knife, and there was another flash of light. Bella seemed to be burned by fire, and she immediately let go of her sister's arm.

"Narcissa!"

But Narcissa had already rushed forward.

Bella rubbed her hands and followed again, but now she kept a distance from Narcissa, and the two of them walked deeper into the maze-like abandoned brick houses.

Finally, Narcissa hurried up a street called Spider's End, where the tall mill chimney towered into the sky like a giant finger of warning.

She walked past the dilapidated windows boarded up with boards, her footsteps echoing on the cobblestones.

She came to the last house, and a dim light came from the cracks in the curtains of a room downstairs.

When Bella rushed up cursing, she had already knocked on the door.

They stood waiting outside the door together, breathing heavily and smelling the smell of the sewage river blown by the evening breeze.

After a few seconds, they heard movement behind the door. Then the door was opened a crack, and a man looked at them. His long black hair was draped on both sides like a curtain. In the middle was a gray-yellow face and a pair of

Black eyes.

Narcissa lifted her hood back. Her face was very pale, as if glowing white in the night, and her long golden hair was spread behind her back, making her look like a drowned person.

"Narcissa!"

The man said and opened the door wider. The light not only illuminated her, but also her sister.

“What a surprise and delight!”

"Severus," Narcissa whispered nervously, "Can I talk to you? This matter is urgent."

"certainly."

He stepped back and let her into the house.

Her sister, still hooded, followed, though not invited.

"Snape." She simply greeted him as she passed him.

"Bellatrix." Snape replied, his thin lips twisted into a slightly sarcastic smile, and he closed the door behind them with a click.

They walked directly into a small living room, which felt like a dark cell with soft walls.

A room in a mental hospital or prison with padded walls to prevent incarcerated persons from harming themselves... Several walls are filled with books, most of them in old black or brown leather bindings; a candle-lit lamp shines from the ceiling

The top hung down, casting a dim circle of light, in which a worn and fluffy sofa, an old armchair and a rickety table were crowded together.

This place has a desolate and deserted atmosphere, as if no one usually lives there.

Snape motioned for Narcissa to sit on the sofa. Narcissa took off her cloak and threw it aside, then sat down, staring at her pale and trembling hands folded on her knees.

Bellatrix slowly lowered her hood. Her sister was astonishingly white, but her skin was very dark, with thick eyelids and a wide chin.

She walked over and stood behind Narcissa, her eyes never leaving Snape for a moment.

"So, what can I do for you?" Snape asked, sitting down in the armchair opposite the sisters.
