HP Approaches the Magic World

Chapter 814: Another Evil Spell

Looking at the handwriting that appeared on the notebook, Hermione's eyes lit up.

Because it clearly said: "Okay, you can come to meet me outside the Hufflepuff lounge. I will deal with some things with my classmates there today. It won't take long."

She read this sentence carefully twice, then raised her head and said to her friend: "How about we end here today and let's go back to school?"

Harry and Ron nodded.

After all, there is no fun in today's trip, and if we stay any longer, the weather will only get worse.

So they once again wrapped their cloaks tightly, covered their faces with scarves, put on gloves, followed Katie Bell and a friend out of the bar, and walked back along the road.

They trudged through the frozen slush on the road, heading in the direction of Hogwarts, and Harry thought of Ginny for no reason.

They didn't meet her today, Harry thought, and she must be cozying up with Dean in Mrs. Puddieff's teahouse, a favorite place for happy lovers.

Harry frowned, burying his head in the rain and snow flying in the wind, and walked forward with difficulty step by step.

However, after a while, they realized that the two girls walking in front of them were arguing, because the wind began to blow the sound of their quarrel into his ears.

It seems to be because of something Katie is holding in her hand?

"This has nothing to do with you, Lini!"

They turned a corner on the path, and the rain and snow fell thicker and faster. Hermione wanted to use magic to prop up a barrier, but it was self-defeating, because the barrier opened at that moment, allowing a lot of rain to hit.

It hit Harry's glasses, making the lenses of Harry's glasses blurry.

Hermione had no choice but to withdraw the barrier. She had used this magic too little, so she had not practiced it much. Moreover, the magic power in her body was far from that strong, and there was no way to support a barrier like a force field.

In fact, after the magic of the force field is constructed, it can begin to interact with the surrounding magical elements. Once the interaction begins, the magic used to maintain the force field will be reduced. When this power is reduced to a certain level, it will be like Jon

Like a force field, it becomes an eternal magic engraved in the body.

However, this process requires a lot of mental power. However, Hermione's mental power is not as powerful as Jon's and cannot maintain a fully formed force field.

Jon is a descendant of a pure-blood family and has Helga's help, but Hermione has no help from others.

So there is no other way but to practice slowly.

Let’s talk about now.

Just as Harry was wiping the lenses with his gloved hands, Lini suddenly reached out to grab the package in Katie's hand.

Katie yanked back hard and the package fell to the floor.

Then, all of a sudden, Katie rose into the air. She was not hung upside down by her ankles like Ron, but her posture was very elegant, with her arms stretched out flat, as if she was about to fly.

However, there was something weird about her, something wrong... Her hair was blown around by the strong wind, but her eyes were closed tightly and there was no expression on her face at all.

Harry, Ron, Hermione and Lini all stopped and looked at her blankly.

Six feet above the ground, Katie suddenly let out a scream of terror.

Lini yelled too, grabbing Katie's ankles and trying desperately to drag her back to the ground.

Harry, Ron and Hermione also rushed over to help.

Just as they grabbed hold of Katie's legs, she fell on top of them.

Harry and Ron finally got a hold of her, but she squirmed so hard they couldn't control her.

So, they put her on the ground. She twisted violently and screamed, obviously unable to recognize any of them.

Harry looked around, there was no one around.

"You stay here!"

He shouted to several others in the howling wind: "I'm going to call someone to help!"

Hermione nodded. She held the wand secretly, but she didn't know what kind of magic she should cast to relieve Katie's pain.

At this time, Harry ran towards the school.

He had never seen anyone like Katie before, so he had no idea what was going on.

He turned a corner quickly and collided with a huge thing. The guy looked like a big bear standing on its hind legs.

"Hagrid!"

Harry fell into a hedge, gasping for air, struggling to get out and yelling.

"Harry!"

Hagrid's eyebrows and beard were stained with rain and snow, and he was wearing that huge, sloppy beaver fur coat: "I went to see Grawp. He is making rapid progress. You are all——"

"Hagrid, someone is injured over there, maybe he's under a spell or something -"

"What?" Hagrid leaned down to listen to Harry. The sound of the wind was too loud.

"Someone's under a spell!"

"Bewitched? Who is bewitched - not Ron? Hermione?"

"No, it's not them, it's Katie Bell, over here..."

They ran back along the path together, and soon saw Hermione, Ron, and the small group of people surrounding Katie.

Katie was still lying on the ground writhing and screaming, Ron, Hermione and Lini were all trying to calm her down.

"Get out of the way!" Hagrid yelled, "Let me see!"

"Something happened to her!"

Lini cried and said: "I don't know how-"

Hagrid stared at Katie for a second, then without saying a word, he bent down and picked her up, turned around and ran towards the castle.

After a few seconds, Katie's screams were no longer heard, and there was only the howling of the wind.

Hermione looked around, hurriedly walked over to Katie's crying friend, and put her arms around her.

"You're Lini, right?"

Lini nodded.

"Did this happen suddenly, or..."

"Well...something happened as soon as the package was torn open."

Lini said soothingly, pointing to the soaked brown paper bag on the ground.

The paper package cracked, and something inside glowed green.

Ron bent down and reached out, but Harry grabbed his arm and pulled him back.

"Don't touch it!"

Harry leaned down and saw a gorgeous opal necklace revealed in the paper bag.

"I've seen it before," Harry said, gazing at the thing. "It was displayed in Borgin's and Burkes a long time ago. The label said it was enchanted. Katie must have come across it."

He looked up at Lini, who was shaking uncontrollably.

"How did Katie get this thing? Logically speaking, this thing should not have gotten into your hands."

"We were arguing about this just now. When she came out of the toilet of the Three Broomsticks, she held it in her hand and said that it was a gift for someone at Hogwarts and that she would hand it over to her.

Her expression was very strange when she spoke... She must have been under the Imperius Curse, I didn't realize it at the time!"

Lini cried so hard that she was shaking all over. Hermione patted her shoulder gently.

"Didn't she say who gave it to her, Lini?"

"No...she refused to tell me...I told her that she was dizzy and could never take this thing to school, but she just didn't listen..."

"We'd better go back to school quickly,"

Hermione still hugged Lini: "This way we can find out how she is doing now, let's go."

Harry hesitated for a moment, took off the scarf from his face, carefully wrapped the necklace in the scarf, and picked it up.
