HP Approaches the Magical World

Chapter 754 Death is just a drama

"HP Approaches the Magic World ()"

Suddenly, a person appeared from nowhere and rushed towards them:

The two of them fell on their backs, Neville flailing his legs like a beetle on all fours, Harry holding his left hand high in the air to keep the little glass ball from shattering.

"Prophecy Ball, give me the Prophecy Ball, Potter!"

Lucius Malfoy growled in Harry's ear, and Harry felt the force of his wand against his ribs.

"No, let - go - I, Neville - catch!"

Harry rolled the prophecy ball across the floor, and Neville spun on his back against the ground, taking the ball in his arms.

Malfoy turned his wand and pointed it at Neville, when Harry snapped his wand back over his shoulder and yelled, "There are obstacles!"

Malfoy was knocked away.

Harry looked around as he got up again to see Malfoy slam into the table. On the podium, Sirius and Bellatrix were fighting fiercely.

Malfoy pointed his wand at Harry and Neville again, and before he could catch his breath and say the spell, Lupine jumped between them.

"Harry, gather the others and let's go!"

Harry grabbed Neville's robes by the shoulders and dragged him all the way up the first stone step; Neville's legs were still twitching and dancing, and he couldn't get up.

Harry dragged Neville with all his strength again and they climbed another flight of steps - a spell hit the stone bench just next to Harry's heels.

The stone shattered, and Harry fell on his back on the next step.

Neville fell to the ground, his legs still dancing and swaying, and he stuffed the prophecy ball into his pocket.

"Come on!" said Harry desperately, tugging at Neville's robes, "Kick your legs and see—"

He pulled up hard again, and the left seam of Neville's robe was ripped open.

—the little glass ball fell out of his pocket, and before they could catch it, Neville kicked it with a wobbly foot,

It flew out to their right, about ten feet, and smashed to pieces on the steps below.

They all stared at where it had been smashed, transfixed by what had just happened, and only the two of them noticed that a pearly, self-colored figure with huge eyes had risen into the air.

Harry could see its mouth opening and closing, but he couldn't hear a word of prophecy from the banging, screaming, and yelling all around them.

After the figure finished speaking, it disappeared without a trace.

"Harry, I'm sorry!"

cried Neville, with a pained expression on his face and his legs still dangling, "I'm so sorry, Harry, I didn't mean to—"

"It doesn't matter!"

Harry yelled, "Try to get up, let's get out of here—"

"Dumbledore!"

Neville gave a cry and looked over Harry's shoulder, a look of excitement on his sweaty face.

"What?"

"Dumbledore!"

Harry turned his head, following Neville's gaze.

Directly above them was the door to the Hall of the Brains, and Albus Dumbledore was standing in the doorway, his wand raised above his head, his pale face smoldering with anger.

Harry felt a surge of electricity rushing through his body - they were saved.

Dumbledore walked quickly down the steps, past Neville and Harry, who had no more intention of leaving.

Dumbledore reached the bottom of the steps when the nearest Death Eater spotted him, yelling to inform the other Death Eaters.

A Death Eater scuttled away, monkeying up the stone steps opposite, and Dumbledore's spell hauled him back as easily as if he had been hooked by an invisible thread—only two now. Individuals were still fighting fiercely, and it was obvious that none of them had noticed Dumbledore's arrival.

Harry saw a short red flash of Sirius past Bellatrix: he was laughing at her.

"Come on, you can do better!"

He shouted, his voice echoing throughout the cavernous room.

The second beam hit him squarely in the chest.

The smile on his face wasn't quite gone yet, but his eyes widened in horror, and Harry let go of Neville unconsciously.

He drew his wand as he jumped down the steps again, and Dumbledore turned back towards the dais.

Sirius seemed to take a long time to fall: his body bent back in a graceful arch, falling through the worn drapery hanging from the archway.

Harry saw horror and surprise on the thin, once handsome face of his godfather as he fell, into the ancient archway, and disappeared behind the draperies.

The curtain fluttered for a while, as if a gust of wind had just blown, and then returned to its former appearance.

Harry heard Bellatrix Lestrange screaming triumphantly, but he knew it meant nothing - Sirius had just fallen through the arch, and he could come out the other side at any moment... ...but Sirius didn't show up.

"Sirius!"

Harry yelled, "Sirius!"

He came to the floor, his breath becoming hot gasps.

Sirius must have been behind the curtain, and he would have dragged him out...but when he came to the pit and rushed for the ledge, Lupine hugged him around the waist and dragged him back.

"It's over, Harry—"

"Catch him, save him, he just walked in!"

"It's too late, Harry—"

"We can still catch him—"

Harry struggled desperately, but Lupine wouldn't let go, "There's nothing left to do, Harry, there's nothing left to do, he's gone."

"No, he did not!"

Harry yelled.

He didn't believe it, he couldn't believe it; he was still trying to break free from Lupin's block: Lupine didn't know, there was someone hiding behind the curtain;

He had heard them whispering the first time he entered the room—Sirius was hiding, but out of sight.

He yelled, "Sirius!"

"He can't come back, Harry."

Lupine tried to wrap Harry in his arms, his voice becoming staccato, "There's no way he's coming back, he's dead—"

"He-did-did-dead!"

Harry growled wildly.

All around them, the Death Eaters were still fighting, bustling and casting spells.

To Harry, it was just meaningless noise, and the spells passing by them had no effect on him, and he was indifferent to it all, unless Lupine stopped lying to him that Sirius would never come again. Appeared; Sirius was now standing behind the worn drapery, throwing back his jet-black hair, longing to join the fight again.

It's a pity that his wish will definitely not come true in a short time.

Dumbledore took a look here, confirmed that Sirius was fine, and turned his head back to the battle.

As for Harry... people always need to grow, I hope he can learn a lot.
