I am immortal
Chapter 103 The Supreme Order!
Can you know the Four Noble Truths?
How could you not know?
That was the rare advice given by the Buddha when he briefly appeared under the bodhi tree.
The Medicine Master Glazed Light Tathagata in the Buddha's light lowered his eyes and replied almost instinctively: "My Four Noble Truths of Buddhism are called the Cause of Suffering and the Way of Destruction."
"How could I not know?"
Qi Wuhuo asked: "Master, do you think your path does not violate the original Four Noble Truths?"
Medicine Master Glazed Light Tathagata replied: "Of course it is."
The young Taoist stretched out his hand and asked, "So, what is the truth of suffering?"
Medicine Master Glazed Light Tathagata seemed to find it rare to meet someone who could discuss the Tao with him, so he said gently:
"The truth of suffering in life is that there are three sufferings and eight sufferings. I wonder what the Taoist Master is asking about?"
Qi Wuhuo asked: "What are the three sufferings?"
Medicine Master Glazed Light Tathagata couldn't help but smile: "It seems that the Taoist Master wants to test the poor monk."
"The three sufferings are the great suffering, which are divided into suffering, destruction and suffering."
The young Taoist asked gently: "What is suffering?"
The old monk chuckled: "There are many monks and many classics describing this state, but in the old monk's opinion, it is just [distress when suffering]. If you are injured by someone, if you accidentally fall, your body will be cut by a sharp knife." , isn’t it painful at this time?”
Qi Wuhuo nodded: "It's painful."
The old monk added: "Bad suffering also has countless annotations in countless classics, which are all boring and complicated nonsense."
"Bad suffering means suffering [the pain at the end of enjoying happiness]."
"Youth is fleeting, youth is gone, and happy years are always short-lived. It is precisely because we have enjoyed happiness that we find the loneliness afterward unbearable. Isn't it painful at this time?"
Qi Wuhuo said, "It's painful."
Medicine Master Glazed Light Tathagata said: "Then when there is pain, there is pain, and when happiness ends, there will also be pain due to happiness."
"Suffering is the pain caused by the laws of natural change in the remaining time that is neither painful nor happy."
"That's the eight sufferings."
"It means the suffering of birth, the suffering of old age, the suffering of illness, the suffering of death, the suffering of not being able to seek what you want, the suffering of resentment and hatred, the suffering of separation from love, and the suffering of the five yin beings."
He told the young Taoist in front of him one by one the meaning of these eight sufferings.
The young Taoist either pondered or nodded in agreement, saying, "That's it."
In the end, the suffering caused by the five yin excesses was explained. What does the five yin excesses mean? Said:
"That is what the [Prajna Heart Sutra] of [South China Sea Guanyin Bodhisattva] says, form, feeling, thought, action, consciousness, the five aggregates are all suffering."
"Taoist Master, what do you think of this truth of suffering?"
The young Taoist nodded in agreement: "The description is very complete. From now on, it seems that there will indeed be a lot of suffering."
"The person who said the meaning of the truth of suffering should have seen a lot of things, right?"
Fu asked curiously: "Then what is [Jidhi]?"
Medicine Master Glazed Light Tathagata then replied: "[Jidhi] is the gathering of desires and the causes of many sufferings, so it is called [Jidhi]. The countless sufferings in this world are the result of [Eighty-Eight Envoys of Seeing Confusion]" Trouble], and [Trouble of the 81st Grade of Thoughts]..."
When he was telling this, he suddenly saw the young Taoist opposite him smiling slightly.
So he stopped and asked, "What was the flaw in what the old monk said that made the Taoist Master laugh?"
The young Taoist stopped his smile for a moment, cupped his hands and said, "I am a poor Taoist, Qi Wuhuo."
Medicine Master Glazed Light Tathagata understood and couldn't help but smile: "Qi Wuhuo, seeing confusion has eighty-one grades of troubles."
"The old monk may want to see you."
"I once saw the Buddha appear briefly under the Bodhi tree. Before and after that, I worked as a medicine man to treat people."
He said gently: "The Taoist priest can just call me the pharmacist."
The young Taoist said: "Then pharmacist, please continue talking."
Then Medicine Master Glazed Light Tathagata continued to explain the meaning of the various truths.
The young Taoist listened carefully.
In the end, Medicine Master Glazed Light Tathagata concluded, saying: "These many causes of suffering actually mainly come from [greed, anger, and ignorance], [slowness], and [doubt]. Among these five, greed, anger, and ignorance are the greatest." The reason is the source of countless sufferings.”
"What do you think, Taoist Priest?"
The young Taoist thought for a moment and said, "It makes sense."
He suddenly thought of his brothers and sisters, and realized that many things seemed to be clear to him, so he naturally replied: "If you are not greedy, you can save a lot of troubles; if you don't get angry, you won't get angry and lose your mind. It will also save you a lot of worries, and if you don’t have crazy thoughts and don’t have to be as attached as a demon, you can let go of a lot, which will save you even more worries.”
"The person who said [Ji Di] is really very knowledgeable."
Then Medicine Master Glazed Light Tathagata showed a smile on his face and said gently: "Master, you have good understanding."
He said: "The truth of suffering, the truth of suffering, is just ordinary."
"The truth is destroyed."
He clasped his hands together and said: "End all suffering and save all sentient beings."
"Those who hear the name of the Medicine Master Glazed Light Buddha will have all their sins automatically eliminated."
"If you hear the name of the World Honored Medicine Master Lazuli Light Tathagata and uphold it sincerely without any doubts, there will be no point in falling into the lower realms."
He recited his own Dharma, and the surrounding light was brilliant, like crystal clear glass.
The young Taoist raised his eyes slightly, then shook his head, pondered for a long time, and retorted again: "This is wrong."
Then Medicine Master Glazed Light Tathagata's light from the Buddha stopped.
Seeing that the young Taoist was not refuting himself, Qi Wuhuo said thoughtfully:
"This is the meaning of the so-called [The Truth of Death]."
"It should have been added by someone else."
"Isn't it explained by the person who proposed the [Truth of Suffering] and [The Truth of Collection] before?"
? ! ! !
Medicine Master Glazed Light Tathagata was slightly shaken in his heart, but his expression remained unchanged. He lowered his eyes and looked at Qi Wuhuo, saying:
"Where do you start talking about this?"
The young Taoist smiled and said: "It's very simple. It's better to say that you can see it at a glance."
"Because whether it is [The Truth of Suffering] or [The Truth of Collection], they are all talking about very basic and clear principles."
"The person who proposed the Four Noble Truths explained these two points in great detail."
"And the most important thing is, there is no preaching in it."
"He just spoke frankly about things that exist in this world."
The young Taoist thought of today's bowl of noodles. He still felt that it was a pity that he didn't try the roasted peppers. So he said: "Just like when eating noodles, eating peppers will make your mouth spicy, so you should eat less." Eat something the same."
"It's such a simple and simple truth."
"As if he was worried that others would misunderstand him, he even explained it in detail one by one, as if telling you that when eating noodles, adding vinegar will make it sour, too much salt will make you thirsty, and you can eat less chili, but never eat it. If you add sugar to the noodles, they won't taste good, and they'll be a bit long-winded, but I can feel his tenderness towards the common people."
"But what you just said-"
"This truth of annihilation is to eliminate all suffering and save the common people."
The young Taoist raised his eyes and looked at the Medicine Master Glazed Light Tathagata in front of him and said:
"But it has a sense of superiority."
"It's different from the previous two."
"So, it's definitely not the Dharma he taught."
Medicine Master Glazed Light Tathagata was silent for a long time and said: "However, there is no mistake."
Qi Wuhuo shook his head and said, "Wrong."
Medicine Master Glazed Light Tathagata put his hands together and said slowly: "All living beings are suffering and sinking into the sea of suffering. Living in this world is like being among thorns. If your heart is not moving, people will not move rashly. If you don't move, you will not be hurt. If your heart is moving, people will move rashly. It hurts his body and hurts his bones, so he experiences all kinds of pain in the world.”
"We must put an end to all evil."
"So all sentient beings will not experience such pain."
"In this way, sentient beings can understand the Buddha's Dharma and achieve Bodhi."
"What's wrong?"
As he spoke, the Buddha's light unconsciously dimmed slightly.
The young Taoist said: "That's how it should be, and it's true."
"But when you did this, Medicine Master, have you ever asked the common people?"
"I asked Cang Sheng if he would be willing to be ferried by you?"
Medicine Master Glazed Light Tathagata's eyes narrowed slightly, and the young Taoist stood up, looking calmly at the monk who lowered his eyes in front of him, and said: "The Dharma you just said is not false, but I am still a little confused, living in such a world. , all living beings must not act rashly in order to avoid suffering, I agree.”
"But what you are doing is using Buddhism as a chain to trap the common people."
"[Order] them not to move."
"So they don't have to suffer the pain of a needle prick."
"Is this considered a degree?"
The old monk clasped his hands together, lowered his eyes for a long time, and said, "Forget it."
"Because people no longer have to suffer."
The young Taoist stared at him, thought for a moment, and said, "This is a way of saying it, Medicine Master."
"But I still have a question, and I hope you can answer it."
"Speaking……"
"Buddha said that the five yin levels are suffering, so I will try to use the five yin levels to say that form, feeling, thought, action, consciousness, and the five aggregates are all suffering."
"You just mentioned the teachings of Nanhai Guanshiyin. After listening to it, I had a little understanding."
"It's because people can perceive the outside world and feel the various phases that they will be disturbed by all the external world, which leads to greed, anger, and ignorance. Therefore, Buddhism says that "form is empty", which means this. Form is empty, which is a state. , it means that no matter how complicated the outside world is, no matter what changes we experience and see, all these external appearances will not affect the inner state of the practitioner, right?"
At this moment, he turned to ask the young Taoist. The old monk was silent for a long time and sighed:
"What the real person said is correct."
The young Taoist shook his head and said, "You can't be a real person."
He added: "Then what the Buddha hopes is that all sentient beings will reach the state where [form is empty] by themselves."
"Is it right?"
The Buddha's light on the old monk's body had converged and was only in this room. He lowered his eyes for a long time and said, "What the real person said is right."
"What I, the Buddha, hope is that all sentient beings can reach this point."
So the young Taoist asked in confusion:
"But didn't what you did mean that they would never have the chance to get to this point?"
"Just like seeing many things in this world, it will cause pain to people. But it should not blind people's eyes."
"Because all living beings will eventually die, kill them when they are born and let them reach the other side."
"Pharmacist, isn't that what you did?"
Medicine Master Glazed Light Tathagata's body was shaken violently, he suddenly raised his head and blurted out: "No, I didn't!!"
The young Taoist asked: "But aren't you just depriving all sentient beings of the opportunity to [see things that are different from their appearance]?"
"The Buddha hopes that all sentient beings will come to [see that all forms are empty]"
"But you let them [not see the form] at all, and have no chance to come into contact with the form. Naturally, they feel that the form is empty."
"But have they really achieved this level of enlightenment?"
The Buddha's light on Medicine Master Glazed Light Tathagata has almost disappeared, leaving only an old monk.
The young Taoist sighed and said:
"Monk."
"Are you trying to relieve people's troubles, or are you trying to uproot people's roots of wisdom?"
"Why do you think so?"
The old monk said painfully:
"I just want to learn from Buddha to save the common people. I just hope that the common people will not suffer."
Qi Wuhuo paused, then he thought he was just confused and asked naturally:
"So, does the Buddha you call treat you the same way you treat the common people now?"
Has the Buddha ever saved you like this?
It was also because all forms are suffering, and all living beings are suffering.
Will it also help you to "end all suffering"?
This sentence was just a doubt, but in the mouth of the old monk, it was like a bell that enlightened the ears. He suddenly recalled that day when he, a poor pharmacist, saw the confused man under the bodhi tree, and then he told himself, There are others who speak of the original Dhamma, which is the Four Noble Truths.
What did he tell himself at that time...
He said, this is suffering, you should stay away from it.
This is a collection, you should cut it off.
This is annihilation, you must realize it.
This is the way, you should practice it.
He pointed out the Four Noble Truths and then advised me that it can be done and you can try to do it.
I've done it, so you can too.
That's all he is.
The old monk suddenly felt sad and felt that he had taken the wrong path. His heart was hurting. The Buddha's light on his body had disappeared in an instant. It seemed that the Buddha's light had been too bright before. When the Buddha's light dissipated, there was only In the darkness, the old monk staggered and wanted to get up, but because he recalled that person and his own dream that predicted the future, he was so sad that he couldn't help himself.
He staggered and fell to his knees on the ground.
He held his hands on the ground, tears pouring down his face.
"ah……"
"Have my disciples, my Buddha, made such a mistake?"
"You have set an example, but I only went as far as the surface. How could I misunderstand your meaning to such a degree."
The young Taoist was silent, and suddenly said softly: "The person who guides you."
"It's no longer here."
This sentence has compassion, but it hurts like a sword.
The old monk couldn't control his grief and burst into tears.
I just felt that my whole body was in darkness, there was no way forward, and I had already taken the wrong path.
Suddenly a light came on. He subconsciously raised his head and saw the young Taoist priest walking towards him with an oil lamp. He leaned down slightly and the oil lamp in his hand illuminated himself. The old monk raised his sleeves, wiped his tears and said:
"The old monk was too rude to let Lord Dao see such a side."
"There are really too many mistakes and it's extremely difficult to get back to it."
"When I think back on it, I feel even more sad."
Qi Wuhuo said, "No need to thank me. I didn't help you. You knew it all along. I just happened to say something to remind you of him."
The old monk sighed and said: "It's a pity, I have been so wrong."
"Being so far away from his teachings back then makes me feel even more painful."
Qi Wuhuo said, "Then why don't you look back?"
The old monk's body was greatly shaken.
"Look back..."
"If you take a wrong path, shouldn't you turn back next time?"
The old monk murmured: "Can I still turn back?"
"As long as you want to, why not?"
The old monk sighed: "I still have a lot of things..."
"Then do you want to go back?"
Then the old monk paused.
The young Taoist put the oil lamp on the table again, and then said: "I have heard what you said about the truth of suffering and the truth of suffering."
"So I don't agree with you about the truth of cessation."
"I also have an idea."
"Pharmacist, you can listen to it and treat it as a casual joke by an ordinary Taoist."
The old monk stood up and sat back. When he saw the young Taoist, he stood up and said in a clear voice:
"My Taoist sect takes the sun and moon as its life."
"When the sun rises and the moon sets, the light shines everywhere, that is cultivation."
"Ji Ti said that all suffering comes from Samadhi, which is greed, anger and ignorance, like fire. The fire light is the countless desires emitted from this source, and these desires are reflected into the eyes, so the sun and moon cannot be seen. The light of life.”
"And the truth of annihilation may be so."
The young man stood up and blew out the oil lamp gently.
The window in the Sutra Viewing Pavilion was opened, and the moonlight poured in gently, falling on the young Taoist's body and shoulders, and also fell into the room, illuminating every inch. The monk's eyes widened, looking at the young man under the moonlight. The Taoist pointed at the oil lamp with his hand, pure and at ease, and said with a smile: "It is not to extinguish all the desires of the people, but to blow out the fire of greed, anger and ignorance in oneself."
"So many evil desires and evil destinies will naturally dissipate."
"You can see the sun and the moon."
The old monk looked at the young Taoist under the moonlight and suddenly laughed.
Smiling and laughing, and suddenly choked up.
"I see……"
"It's not the annihilation that saves annihilation, it's the annihilation that blows out."
"Blow away greed, anger and ignorance, and you will see the Tathagata."
"Yes, how could a person like him use the term "Du Mu" to describe his Dharma? It's because we have always seen and understood it wrong... Why don't we really understand his Dharma?"
The pure glazed world of the Eastern Buddhist Kingdom.
Countless glazed worlds have returned to their original appearance, bright and clear, without any mistakes.
The moonlight shone all over the Bodhisattva, but he suddenly felt something. He raised his head and saw the Medicine Master Glazed Light Tathagata with his eyes closed and concentrating on his Dharma body. He suddenly shed tears and felt sad.
Then he slowly opened his eyes.
Actively choosing to stop condensing one's own Dharma, one's own power, one's own various aspects.
Under the moonlight, the old monk in the Lianyang Temple clasped his hands together and said:
"The poor monk wants to turn back, but he can't do it alone..."
"Please also ask Master Xuanwei to help me."
Just like an ordinary young Taoist who was called out of his Taoist name, he paused and raised his eyes to see that the monk was pure and at ease. The old monk had a smile on his lips, but his eyes were clear, as if he could detect everything. Buddhism has other minds, and the young Taoist At this moment, he felt the old man's relief and letting go, and he understood the old man's choice in an instant. He didn't say anything more.
The old monk thanked him, sat cross-legged under the moonlight, put his hands together, and said gently:
"May I achieve Bodhi in my next life..."
The young man wore a Taoist robe and said:
"May you achieve Bodhi in your next life."
The old monk thanked him and just recited Buddhist scriptures. Qi Wuhuo stood next to him. The monk was sitting cross-legged and the Taoist was standing. The monk faced the moon while the young man turned his back to the moon. The old man recited the original Dharma under the Bodhi tree. Then raise the forearm of your right hand in front of your chest, stretch your fingers upward naturally, and perform the fearless mudra with the palm of your hand facing outward. The left hand hangs down in front of your knees, with the palm of your hand facing outward, and perform the wishing mudra.
The young Taoist's right hand hangs down, and the sleeves of his robe are fluttering.
The ring finger of the left middle finger is slightly curved inward.
Press the tips of your middle finger and ring finger with your thumb.
Determined by Dao.
Taking a step forward, the sleeves and robes swept past, and the monk closed his eyes. I recalled countless Buddhist classics in my heart.
They say this is what I hear, but in the end it is covered by other sounds.
The young man spoke the truth, his voice was gentle, and he spoke like this, said like this——
"Your Majesty's Order!"

"Lotus Sutra: Parables": "Buddha used to be in Paranai and first taught the Four Truths/Buddha used to be in Paranai and first taught the Dharma, and now he has repeated the supreme and greatest Dharma.
In the twenty-two volumes of the "Abhidharmakshashastra", the four truths have been explained first, saying that the cause of suffering destroys the path. The same is true for his own body, and he observes it step by step.
I hope it can be written realistically enough so that the story has weight and the choice has value.
