The X32025 chip still uses a 14nm silicon carbide wafer process, which eliminates the multi-processor parallel computing function and some floating point calculation accuracy. However, overall it is still the strongest AI chip after the X32035 and natively supports strong AI calculations.

Nowadays, new forces and smart driving are still in the development stage. There are not many dedicated in-vehicle smart chips, and the concept of computing power has only just become popular.

The commonly used unit is TOPS. 1TOPS means that the processor can perform one trillion operations per second (10^12). The current computing power required for L2-level assisted driving is less than 60TOPS, and L3 driverless driving is only 100TOPS.

Of course, this is still the division system of traditional binary chips. Ternary chips are quite buggy in AI calculations, and the computing power cannot fully reflect the level of intelligence. However, the converted computing power of 5600TOPS is still too exaggerated.

In other words, is it several hundred times the current mainstream level?

The reaction from traditional car companies was not that strong, but they still felt like they heard something remarkable.

After Chen Jun finished speaking, he carefully observed the reactions of the businessmen below and felt that they did not meet his expectations.

Lin Ju's technical requirement for the rollout of autonomous driving is to have the same effect as the native X32035 paired with SC09. The latter two are too wasteful simply for autonomous driving. Now Xinyuan engineers are frantically deleting unnecessary architecture.

The level of driverless driving at this level has surpassed that of humans. The previous week they transplanted X32035 and SC09 to a pure electric coupe tested in Xin'an, and competed with multiple racers invited. In the end, X32035 won 12 to 4. A complete victory, squeezing out all the performance of the car body without any waste.

The performance on complex road conditions is also surprisingly good. In a simulated traffic jam environment with a large traffic volume, the AI ​​that has not yet been completely deleted actually learned to actively block traffic and drive on the line, and just rushed out of the congestion area with the most flexible attitude.

So he got Lin Ju's death order to start rolling out driverless cars in 2019, and by the end of 2020, he would invest in at least 100,000 unmanned online ride-hailing vehicles...

In the past, the base needed to purchase optical components from other manufacturers, but after launching the laser project, it also established a small and sophisticated optical production line. It is also the most advanced in the country and can provide the required high-precision parts.

Huanghe Semiconductor is in merger and acquisition negotiations with a small chip foundry and plans to place its future 14nm silicon carbide production line there.

The only difficulty encountered now is the wafer problem. The domestic production capacity of large-size silicon carbide wafers has not yet increased, which will lead to high costs, but that is all.

Chen Jun's words made it impossible for others to refute. In my impression, Huanghe Semiconductor always acted unconventionally. It's hard to say.
