I Became A System

It was warm. That was what I first felt when the light embraced me. It was an embrace, noteworthy to remember.

Of all the blue lights that I've been drowning in, this one was perhaps my favorite.

It makes me wonder, what kind of system do I get after this? It feels like a powerful one...

Well, every system I had was powerful. There's one that can achieve any ability. There's also one that can bless power. And of course, the rest was also notable.

But... As I realize it. Why is it taking so long? It felt like it had been hours since I was here in this light.

Now that I remember it. I feel like that light was quite bigger than usual. It was the reason this took so long.

Hm... what should I do?

Zap!

I immediately woke up, opening my eyes from meditation. What I see in front of me is Ellena, looking at me with some kind of surprised expression.

She was holding me with two hands. However, it feels like Ellena got smaller. Or did I get bigger? That light... it was its effect?

What are the other effects?

"Ellena..." I mumbled as I looked at her eyes.

"Aaron. You got bigger!" she suddenly exclaimed. I was still on her two palms.

Did I grow? Hm... Now that I am more curious about it, what's the system I got?

My attention was taken by the window that appeared in front of me.

I can control mana? Also celestial power? What?! It was true that my employer was eager to make me one of them. This was his goal! My capabilities can even rival any god they have.

I am surprised with the system I got. But somehow, this term "user" bothers me. Why am I a user? I've seen this more than twice now and I still can't figure out why "user" was the term used.

Am I registered to use it? It feels odd.

But I can't linger on it right now! I have more important matters.

I nodded as I opened another window to see my progress.

As I browse the informaiton in my head, I can't get astonished enough. Every time I got information, I couldn't make a sound. Every time I understand the use of the skills I have, I can always imagine how I can use them against Ellena's opponents.

"Can you tell me what is it?" she asked.

I nodded and then put myself in a better position. I also opened the status board of this system since this is the better way to use it for now. I should choose better since this will be a demonstration.

[Protect]

As a spell that can create a barrier out of pure mana. It can withstand 100 magical powers. Continuous practice might evolve the spell into a more powerful tier.

[Special Space]

A special space that can be created in a small space. What happens inside, stays inside. What happens inside can be reversed as the Lord likes. Continuous use can evolve into higher tiers, but it will have conditions, depending on the space.

[Delayed Blast]

A blast that can create a huge explosion with a short delay of 5 seconds. It is best for traps in combat. It can not evolve into a higher tier.

There are more powerful spells here, but I can't read them all right now. I need to show something to Ellena.

And what I like about this is... there's no limitation! I can create and use it without worrying about losing mana. I am unlimited!

Also, what it means to have the ability to control celestial power is that I can use it on higher planes! Hence, this is my key as an equal to my eployer!

"I should let you see it."

I feel like Ellena doesn't need to train anymore, but I want her to remain independent of me. So, I might use this if we get to fight more formidable foes like a Sin or an apostle of a Sin.

"Special Space." As I chanted that word, a violet light covered a small part of the room.

Inside it was me and Ellena, who were mesmerized and astonished by what I demonstrated.

"Protect."

And inside the barrier were me and Ellena. I feel like I need it. I can feel that I am more alive now since I got bigger.

Ellena looks excited. Since she can see and feel mana now, she was awing while looking at the barrier that was made of mana.

"How can you do it?" she asked as she was touching the barrier.

"I can control mana and do what I like. However, it's not like I control mana from the environment. I have my own mana that has a different unlimited source."

This information... basically chemistry would go against this. As it is commonly known, people can't create atoms nor destroy them. And since atoms are the smallest particles of matter, I can basically relate to them since the barrier becomes solid.

But hey! Why would I be talking about Science right now? I was also thinking about physics, but let's stop. It's absurd.

"Do you have a core?"

I shook my head.

"I don't have. But isn't this amazing?! I can help you more." I said, but it sort of made her dispirited.

"I feel like I am being more useless right now, Aaron."

That's what I worry about too. But of course, I don't mean making her dependent on me! I am the greatest guardian here!

"Don't worry. I want you to be independent."

After I said it, she slowly went back into her previous expression.

"Now. Show me what you got!"

I snickered. She made it sound like I was some kind of bragging kid, huh. Let's do this.

Boom!

Everything in the Special Space, except for us inside the barrier, went into destruction.. When I put the Delayed Blast in, Ellena was perplexed, but when she saw what it was, she was speechless.
