A whistle of wind came from their back. It sent chills to their spine, feeling terrified at the moment they felt a presence behind them.

In a mere blink of a second, they were baffled when a black human figure appeared behind the female swordsman. It was covered with black cloth; only the eyes were visible.

"I know you have a terrifying proficiency with your magic ability. Don't try to hide it by wearing a swordsman's wardrobe." The figure said before it successfully killed one of them and disappeared after a second.

"Ahhhh!!!"

Their screams, filled with fear, were excluded from their mouths, twitching the vocal cords behind the skin of their necks.

And another terrifying experience happened after the female swordsman disappeared, eaten by a cylinder light above her.

Witnessing it, the mage breathed quickly, gasping for air. She palpitated seeing her friend's body become a corpse in a blink before being eaten by the light.

The human figure didn't stop; she even injured the mage abruptly and left her to endure the pain.

"Do you believe that voice?" she asked from a different direction as the wind still whistled.

The leader knew that his teammate wasn't actually dead. He already knew the forest mechanism as it was mentioned before the test.

However, despite that, he still worries about the mental health of the mage. She made it a big deal, even forgetting the fact that she wasn't really dead.

"Calm down. She's not dead, she was just kicked out," he said this while looking at the mage with concern in his eyes.

The mage didn't hear him; she was still busy gasping for air. And as she was terrified by the scene, points appeared above her head, overjoying Aaron from afar.

This is amazing! That scene had a massive number of points! The mage had already made 3 points in a second! Imagine how great that is!

But, I pity them, of course. They underestimated their target. Ellena wasn't a simple deal to take care of.

Earlier, when Ellena stabbed the female swordsman, Ellena was assured that she wasn't the best at swordsmanship. Her ability was magic and her proficiency was high.

"Do you believe that voice?" Ellena asked once again.

The leader just hissed and bloodlust emerged from his eyes, looking for Ellena. However, Ellena was constantly moving and did not remain in one place for long.

"I see... What a pity. After this, be sure to think about why you don't have to believe a voice from no one." Ellena remarked after appearing behind the leaders' backs.

While on the other hand, the leader smiled a victory smile.

Hm... Did he think that he had outsmarted Ellena? I bet he'll say, 'I got you.'.

The leader turned around with his sword in hand. "Checkmate," he mumbled in a grin.

But unbeknownst to him, Ellena activated her Pressure Aura to 50%, decreasing his ability in close combat.

Even though we don't know his ability, Ellena can still defeat him as lightning is faster than any human movement because it moves at the speed of light.

The leader burned to a crisp just before the mage, making her lose consciousness at that moment.

That's funny...? I don't know...

But another 5 points emerged, and her pants were wet. She just pissed herself...

I pity her. She's too innocent to become an adventurer.

Thus, it makes it 3! The leader disappeared and Ellena stabbed the mage, making it follow her teammates.

"Hoo... That's three! 16 more to go!" she exclaimed.

That's right. If it's really 16, 2 more days would not suffice. And for sure, there will be someone who'll fail the test and be excluded. I have already taken it into account.

After it, they will leave the forest and Ellena will be safe. But... the problem is... what will happen after Ellena gets out?

But since I'm not sure if there are really 16 more, I can breathe for a while. What was tempting about the hunt was the unknown reward, and for sure, their greed urged them to do it.

Despite that, it was still educational for Ellena's side.

And yeah, since we're done with the three, will we have to find another victim or just wait for them to find her? It's already night. I bet no one will exert effort to search for her on a dark night.

Nonetheless, we still need to be vigilant. And that's all on me... Ellena needs to rest and as for me, I'll endure the mental tiredness.

The hunting scheme was problematic, but we faced it on an optimistic side. And it taught us to be wise in our planning.

But I still wonder, who was that voice? Why did he want Ellena to die? It's life-threatening, but since we don't believe it's all the guild's fault, we remained inside the forest.

After eating her meal, Ellena finally took a rest and slept under a tree. I'll just look out for snakes... They're dangerous beings and I hate them since they can fit in small holes.

After disappearing, the bodies of the three appeared outside the forest. They were seen lying on top of the platform with their groans resounding.

They slowly opened their eyes and realized that they were perfectly fine. Being in the horror of being really dead was terrifying.

It was also fortunate that the guild's words were real. Even though they failed the test because they were blinded by greed, they were still relieved since they were still alive.

"Did you hear the voice?"

Their attention was taken by a voice coming from the stairs of the platform. There, they saw the observer standing, but somewhat of an odd appearance as he was wearing his battle gear.

"What do you mean, sir?" The leader asked.

"Someone hijacked the operation and spread a fake announcement. Now, we are endangering an individual because of it." The observer spoke up, surprising them.

If that's the case, did they just attack an innocent person?

"But... Can you just take it back?"

"We can't. He modified the mechanism of the forest and sealed the entrance. It was even lucky that we fought for some of the mechanisms. But we failed in retrieving the announcement mechanism and entrance mechanism, " he said.

All three of them were silent after realizing their mistake. They were driven by greed and endangered another participant's life. Even if it was a mere threat, they wouldn't be forgotten because their faces are publicly visible to her.

"Did you die from attacking her?" the observer asked.

They nodded, simply answering him, as they were reluctant to admit it.

The observer scoffed. "Then she might survive this, as we can't return her name to the list as it was already damaged by the hijacker.. So, if she dies, she dies."
