Chapter 31 The long wait

Lilith's full name is Lilith de Erics.

Her uncle is the ninety-seventh king of the Lineker Kingdom—Caesar de Erics.

Lilith has the same name as her mother, has pure royal blood, and is also a direct descendant of the Erics family, the most prestigious wizard family in the entire Cordia continent.

The story goes back to that night ten years ago. After Lilith's mother completed the task of seizing Lancelot's talent, she returned home and began to rest.

Lancelot's talent is far more powerful than imagined, so it will take a long time for the witch to fully absorb the stolen talent.

Young Lilith was curious about why her mother, who was away from home all year round, stayed at home for so long.

Whenever her daughter asked, the witch just smiled and did not answer.

The peaceful days lasted for less than three months. The witch was lured outside the city of Venn by her biological sister Gloria, and then went to hell.

Poor Lilith still naively thinks that her mother is still alive.

For some special reason, Caesar has been hiding the truth of what happened back then.

He told Lilith that her mother and Gloria went on a mission to a far away place together and could only come back after the mission was completed.

Lilith firmly believed in Uncle Caesar's words. Over the years, she had been waiting for news of her mother's return every day and never gave up hope.

Three years flew by like the wind, and in the blink of an eye Lilith had grown into a beautiful and moving girl.

Her uncle Caesar also naturally took over the scepter of the kingdom and became the supreme ruler of the Rhine Kingdom.

"This boy may know the news about his mother!" Lilith had this bold idea from the first moment she saw Lancelot.

After her mother left, Lilith once went to her room to sort out her clothes and accidentally discovered the obscura hidden behind the wardrobe.

When she fumbled to open the camera obscura, she saw only a scroll-like thing inside.

Lilith opened the scroll and it turned out to be a painting.

What the picture depicts is a little boy covered in blood - scarlet blood leaking from his half-open mouth, dark blue eyes full of hatred, and the boy's hair is a very rare silver color.

This slightly horrifying portrait left a deep impression on Lilith at the time, so when she saw Lancelot on the street, she almost screamed in surprise.

She was convinced that Lancelot was the boy in the portrait, and that there must be an inseparable connection between him and his mother's departure.

"Lilith, hasn't he woke up yet?" Carol's voice rang in the girl's ear, instantly interrupting her thoughts.

"Um, no."

When Lilith turned around, she saw Harvey standing next to Carol, who was looking at her with kind eyes.

Harvey has a slender figure and a handsome yet masculine face.

At only thirty-two years old, he has become the administrator of the Wizarding Academy. In addition to normal teaching, he is also responsible for collecting and organizing students' personal files.

"Hello, Teacher Harvey." Lilith greeted politely.

"Haha, Miss Lilith, school starts in two days, so just call me Harvey now." Harvey joked.

"Stop talking so much and get this matter settled quickly." Carol pointed to the boy on the hospital bed and said, "Well, this is the boy who wants to see you by name."

"Huh?" When Harvey saw the boy's appearance clearly, he was obviously stunned for a second, and said with surprise in his tone: "Strange, why is this guy's hair silver?"

"Please understand the key points." After Carol said this, she gave Harvey a blank look.

Harvey ignored Carol and asked the girl in a gentle tone: "Lilith, is he your friend?"

"Yes." The girl nodded and added: "Lancelot said he came from a place called Tucker Town and was a freshman at the Wizarding Academy."

"Tuckertown?" Harvey held his chin with his fingers, trying to remember something.

"What about Lampard, what did he say?"

"The boy was unable to prove his identity as a student, and then suddenly fainted during the argument." Carol said, walking to the steel shelf and continuing to organize the medicines on the shelf.

"Lilith, you just said he was from Tucker Town, right?" Harvey walked to the hospital bed and sat down.

"Yes."

The girl stood uneasily behind Harvey, and she was not sure whether Lancelot was telling the truth.

Harvey stretched out his right hand and took off the package hanging on the boy's chest.

"Teacher Harvey, what are you going to do?" Lilith couldn't help but stop her.

"Don't be nervous, I just want to see what's inside. You probably don't want me to just use magic to wake him up."

"Okay, okay." Lilith closed her mouth knowingly.

Harvey opened the light blue package and saw that it contained a general wizard's manual for mainland China, a few changes of clothes, and an unopened envelope.

Harvey picked up the envelope and saw several neat cursive characters written on it, including Harvey's name.

"This letter is for me." Harvey raised his eyebrows, and then carefully tore open one end of the envelope.

Harvey quickly read through the contents of the letter, and his expression became much relieved.

"This is the letter of introduction given to me by Rob, the mayor of Tucker Town. According to the academy's regulations, this boy is indeed one of the new students at the Wizarding Academy." After Harvey said this, he muttered a spell in a low voice, and his palms instantly ignited a ball of fire.

, burned the letter of introduction to ashes.

Lilith smiled slightly after hearing Harvey's words, which meant that Lancelot would not be kicked out of the academy.

"Did you see it? I told you before that the matter is not as serious as you thought." Harvey patted his trouser legs and stood up, with a trace of pride on his handsome face: "Carol, are you free to have a drink tonight?"

"Sorry, I don't have time." Carol arranged the medicines nonchalantly, her tone as cold as ice: "I still want to send Lilith back, let's talk about it when we have a chance."

"Um... I'll go back first. If you need anything, just ask me." Harvey smiled awkwardly, and then walked out quickly.

Lilith bent down and tied the package back to the boy.

"Aunt Carol, when are we going home?" the girl turned back to Carol and asked.

"It will take up to five minutes until I finish sorting these medicine bottles."

"What about Lancelot?" Lilith looked at the boy who was still unconscious with a worried look.

The girl wanted to create opportunities to be alone with Lancelot so that she could easily ask him about her mother. It would be even harder if she waited until school started.

"Let him rest here. Don't worry, the academy is much safer than outside." Carol said.

Lilith was obviously not satisfied with this answer, and pouted: "But Lancelot is helpless in Venn. School has not officially started yet, and he doesn't even have a place to live."

"Then what do you want to do? Lilith." Carol stopped what she was doing and put her hands on her hips.
