Chapter 94 Looking for clues (Part 2)

Lancelot and Lilith, led by Harvey, returned to the large snowfield where they fought the ice wolf.

Harvey suddenly stopped while walking. Lancelot and Lilith looked at each other, obviously not knowing what was going on.

"Lancelot, Lilith, come here and take a look."

After hearing this, the two walked to Harvey's side and looked in the direction of the other person's finger.

In front of them was a one-meter-deep snow pit with a diameter of about half a meter. There seemed to be burnt marks in the pit.

Such traces looked very abrupt on the white snow, and the exposed piece of soil seemed to have been burned black by something.

Lancelot immediately recalled when he saw it. At that time, he wanted to rush out of the bushes to save Lilith, but his foot slipped and fell into the pit.

The boy looked embarrassed and said, "Teacher Harvey, I fell in."

"Lancelot, have you learned fire magic before?"

"No." Lancelot raised the silver war gun in his hand: "The only thing I have learned so far is space magic, which Lilith taught me."

"Strange... Lilith, were you with Lancelot at that time?" Harvey frowned, turned around and looked at the girl's face and asked.

Lilith looked down at the scorched marks and recalled the scene carefully.

"I remembered that Lancelot and I were not together. I was trapped by a magic barrier at that time." Lilith pointed to the distance with her finger.

"We'll talk about the magic circle later. Lancelot, since you don't know fire magic, how could this happen?"

Harvey looked at Lancelot again: "Ice wolves don't breathe fire."

"Teacher Harvey, I was really surrounded by wolves at that time. Somehow, my body became very hot, and then..."

Lancelot suddenly stopped when he said this. He glanced at Lilith and didn't know how to describe what he had experienced.

"Then?" Harvey asked eagerly: "Did you use your body temperature to melt the snow?"

"That's right." Lancelot looked at the snow pit carefully again: "Although I don't know why there are burnt marks."

Harvey was confused and was about to ask more questions.

"Teacher Harvey, Lancelot flew up at that time." Lilith couldn't help but said: "He floated in mid-air for a few minutes."

"What?" Harvey's face was filled with disbelief.

Lancelot didn't speak, just spread his hands helplessly, knowing that Harvey wouldn't believe it.

"Lilith, are you sure Lancelot didn't jump out of the snow pit?" Harvey asked in surprise.

"Teacher Harvey, this hole is at least one meter deep. No one can jump to a height of five meters from here, let alone when a blizzard is raging." Lilith was sure that she was right. She was trapped in the magic knot at that time.

Unable to leave the world, she witnessed with her own eyes the boy's body floating five meters high in the air.

"Lancelot, is what Lilith said true?" Harvey pushed up his glasses, his eyes filled with shock.

"There was a small discrepancy. I climbed out of the pit, and then my body floated into the air uncontrollably." Lancelot pointed to the position in front of the earthen bed and said.

Harvey suddenly remembered something and asked doubtfully: "Five meters...Lancelot, what was your score in the jumping test?"

"Fifty-two centimeters." Lancelot scratched his head in embarrassment. This number was really hard for him to say.

"So, you jumped exactly ten times the height during the assessment?!"

There was a trace of doubt in Harvey's tone.

"Teacher Harvey, I know this is hard to believe, but it did happen." Lancelot shrugged helplessly and looked at the girl: "Lilith also saw it at that time."

"Are you sure you've been floating in the air for how many minutes?"

"Teacher Harvey, I swear all this is true."

Harvey looked at Lancelot's serious expression, took a deep breath, and tried to make himself accept their explanation.

"This can no longer be explained by common sense. If you want to achieve such an action, you must use the lightness technique and the levitation technique at the same time." Harvey shook his head: "Lancelot, maybe we should find the reason why it happened."

After Harvey finished speaking, he gave Lancelot a meaningful look, then turned and walked towards the place where the warg died.

Lancelot and Lilith walked around the snow pit and followed Harvey. Lancelot glanced at Lilith angrily. He originally didn't want to tell Harvey about this.

Harvey, who was walking in front, couldn't calm down for a long time. This incident made Lancelot's life experience even more elusive. How did a layman without magic do it?

He has rare long silver hair, excellent mental strength in the assessment, and incredible self-healing ability like a monster. Who is this child?

This strengthened Harvey's previous suspicion that the person the mysterious wizard really wanted to seduce that night was not Lilith, but Lancelot.

Lancelot's recommender was Robert, and Harvey knew very well what Robert was like. He could only be described as a profit-seeking villain.

After Harvey got the recommendation letter, he went to the archives office to check the list of students from Tucker Town who had entered the Wizarding Academy in recent years. The best one was only outstanding.

And Lancelot's score sheet in the entrance examination is very strange. Apart from his shocking level of mental power, his other abilities are surprisingly weak.

But even so, Lancelot's magic talent should have reached excellent or above.

What's ridiculous is that the letter of recommendation that Rob asked Lancelot to bring to him not only didn't have the boy's specific talent rating, it didn't even have the most basic last name!

"Teacher Harvey?"

Harvey suddenly came back from his thoughts and found Lilith and Lancelot looking at him with puzzled faces.

He subconsciously looked down and found that he was stepping on the corpse of a warg, and quickly moved his feet away: "Haha, I'm really sorry."

Lancelot and Lilith looked at each other, and they realized that something was not right with Harvey.

Harvey coughed lightly and changed the subject: "Lancelot, did you know that the monster that knocked you down at that time was a warg?"

"I don't remember anything that happened after the magic barrier was lifted." Lancelot showed a wry smile and glanced at the bloody corpse on the ground.

"Lilith, did you see clearly where the wargs appeared from?"

"At that time, the warg pounced directly behind Lancelot. It should have appeared from the trees to the east."

"The east is the direction of the academy, so the warg didn't come here from the depths of the frost forest."

"Yes, I used detection magic to discover twenty-nine magical beasts. There was no scent of wargs nearby at that time, otherwise I would have escaped with Lancelot without hesitation."

Lilith held her chin with one hand, paused for a few seconds, and then said: "The ice wolves and wargs are all controlled by humans, I am sure of this."
