Tachileik is located on the border plain of Burma near the Kingdom of Siam.

A Mae Sai River crosses here. To the north of the Mae Sai River is the city of Tachileik in Myanmar, and to the south of the Mae Sai River is Mae Sai County in Siam.

The river continues eastward and finally merges into the Mekong River, with Laos on the other side of the river.

This is the central area of the Golden Triangle. Because of the unique border environment, it is prosperous. But at the same time, because of the prevalence of drug dealers in the Golden Triangle area, it is also a drug trading center.

With the development of tourism in recent years, the drug trade has gone underground. On the surface, this is still a beautiful city. Traveling here can take in the scenery of the Three Kingdoms.

As a border city, the two bridges on the Mae Sai River have troops from Myanmar and the Kingdom of Siam stationed there to conduct border inspections.

Although on the surface both Burma and the Kingdom of Siam are cracking down on the drug trade, the local armies that receive bribes from drug traffickers just turn a blind eye to these drug traffickers.

The Myanmar army permanently stationed in Tachileik is the first and second battalions of the 298th Infantry Regiment, with a strength of about 900 people.

The infantry of the Red Police Corps quickly entered the northern suburbs of Tachileik along the river and launched an attack on the Burmese army stationed at the airport next to Highway 4.

This sudden attack caught the Burmese army by surprise, and a Burmese infantry company guarding the airport was wiped out on the spot.

After receiving the news, the commander of the 298th Regiment immediately organized his troops to fight back.

The two sides fought fiercely around Highway 4, which crosses the city.

But soon, the gap between the quality of the soldiers, the organization of the army and the advantages of equipment were revealed. The Red Police soldiers were divided into groups of three, with their squads as combat arrows, and continued to advance along Highway 4 to kill the Burmese who tried to block them. The soldiers of the national army were running around, crushing the soldiers of the Burmese army.

As several multifunctional infantry fighting vehicles entered the battlefield, the soldiers of the Red Police Corps had occupied most of Tachileik City, compressing the control area of the Myanmar 298th Regiment to around the two border bridges along the Mae Sai River.

Faced with the sudden attack, it took less than an hour for the resistance of the 298th Regiment of the Burmese Army to go from the initial stubborn resistance to the subsequent collapse.

After the Red Police Corps invested in multi-functional infantry fighting vehicles equipped with 30mm machine guns, the defense fortifications such as border checkpoints and other defenses that the 298th Regiment of the Burmese Army relied on for the last time have also become tofu-like existences.

The penetration of 30mm armor-piercing bullets against these non-permanent defenses is still acceptable.

On the other side of the Mae Sai River, the 12th Infantry Regiment of the 4th Division of the Siamese Army focused on the war that took place on the other side of the river.

When gunfire rang out in Tachileik in the north, the 12th Infantry Regiment of the Siam Army entered a state of combat readiness.

As a standing army under the Northern Military Region of the Kingdom of Siam, the 12th Infantry Regiment has participated in many battles to encircle and suppress drug traffickers in the Golden Triangle, and its combat literacy is at the forefront of the Siamese army.

In addition, Chiang Rai Prefecture is surrounded by various warlords and drug lords. Even Wei Tianze, the big drug lord in the Southern Wa State Special Administrative Region opposite, is their key target.

A few days ago, when Wang Yao attacked the Wei Tianze brothers, the Siamese army knew through the drug dealers and incoming refugees that the South Wa State Special Administrative Region was in flames of war, and they increased their vigilance.

But to what extent the war in the Southern Wa State Special Administrative Region has raged, the outside world still has no idea.

But judging from the chaos in the Golden Triangle in the past, it will take a month or two no matter what.

However, what the Siamese army did not expect was that just a few days later, the Burmese army in Tachileik was attacked by unknown armed forces.

The commander of the 12th Infantry Regiment of the Siam Army rushed to the border checkpoint at the port in person.

Standing in the fortifications, surrounded by Siamese army soldiers on full combat alert, the rifles in their hands were already aimed at the other side of the river.

The border bridge, which was originally full of people and traffic, has been closed, and the surrounding people have fled home. Some soldiers are setting up a cordon outside the checkpoint to drive away the surrounding people.

Some of these people came from across the river to make a living or do business. They took short-term passports, but unexpectedly they encountered war.

There are also a small number of tourists who come for tourism.

Several Siamese army armored vehicles drove to the bridge checkpoint.

The military equipment of the Kingdom of Siam is obviously better than that of the Burmese army. After all, compared to the chaotic Burma, the Kingdom of Siam has always been relatively stable and has fewer wars.

While the Red Alert Corps was attacking Tachilei, the fighting was also spreading to the north.

Mengbin County, an important city located on Highway 4 in the west of Jingdong City, was also attacked by the Red Police Corps.

A Red Police infantry company rode a Nightingale transport helicopter and, escorted by a newly produced Mi-24 armed helicopter, conducted an airborne operation in Mengbin County.

In just one day, the war spread to various cities along Route 4.

The entire area controlled by the militia in Eastern Shan State was attacked by the Red Police Corps. From Tachileik to Mengbin, the attack by the Red Police Corps was so rapid that the areas controlled by the Myanmar government in Eastern Shan State fell into full-scale war.

The local garrisons were trapped in bitter fighting, and even the entire establishment was annihilated. They were unable to send out requests for help or respond to requests for help from Jingdong.
