Kesi, also known as engraved silk, is an ancient and brilliant weaving and embroidery handicraft unique to my country. It is the essence of silk art.

According to historical data, the name "kesi" existed as early as the period of painted pottery and earthenware around 2500 BC. After the development of the Yin and Shang Dynasties, relatively well-made Kesi products have appeared.

It uses the weaving method of "connecting the warp and breaking the weft", using raw silk as the warp, and using various colors of silk as the weft. The warp runs through the entire fabric.

The fabric itself passes through the warp and weft, but the color-separated blocks of the weft and the warp are intertwined and taut, fully covering the upper part of the fabric, and the surface of the fabric does not actually expose the raw silk ground, but it can show the same pattern between the pattern and the plain, and between the color and the color. The image of a broken mark, such as cutting and carving.

A Kesi finished product takes a long time to complete, and the Qing Dynasty was the most prosperous era of Kesi weaving.

It maintains all the characteristics of the traditional Kesi craftsmanship, and adopts the method of mixing Kesi and embroidery on this basis, and a large number of exquisite works have appeared.

At the same time, the kesi fabrics of the Qing Dynasty incorporated a large number of calligraphy and paintings in content, and poems and famous paintings were all over the page.

It is the best in the collection.

Hu Muzhi remembers that in 2004, the whole volume of Kesi with a picture of Duanshi Lanting, which was re-engraved by Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, was auctioned off for a sky-high price of 35.75 million.

17 years later, that is, in 2021, the Kesi embroidery appeared in the public eye again. This time, it was photographed for 241.5 million yuan.

However, for the collection of Qing Dynasty Kesi, works from the early and mid-Qing Dynasty are undoubtedly the best choice.

On the one hand, at this time, the Qing Dynasty had a strong national power and spent a lot of money and material resources on Kesi production, so there were many exquisite finished products.

On the other hand, during this period, the silk weaving industry in Jiangnan was monopolized and controlled by the imperial power, and the best Kesi works were basically used by the royal dignitaries. Not cheap.

However, in the late Qing Dynasty, when the national power declined and the war was turbulent, the real top Kesi craftsmanship was rare even if it was used by the court.

Kesi works of this period, if they are not carefully crafted or have great historical significance, generally do not need to be collected.

And this Kesi embroidery in the hands of Hu Muzhi is the Kesi hollyhock chrysanthemum stone map of the Qianlong period.

According to Hu Muzhi's estimate, the current market price of this thing is only about tens of thousands of yuan, and it is uncertain whether it will appreciate to one million yuan in the future.

. . . . . .

"Get up, go to work, a new day begins!"

After Hu Muzhi got up, he took a shower and left the courtyard.

Since it was still early, Hu Muzhi finished his breakfast by the roadside and packed two servings before heading towards Guxuan Pavilion.

When I came to Guxuan Pavilion, it was only 7:50.

Hu Muzhi thought that Xia Yurou hadn't come over yet, but who knows, the shop door was already open.

When I went to the door of the back room office in the store, there was still one person standing.

From the back, it is not Xia Heze.

With doubts, Hu Muzhi stepped into the store.

At this moment, the man leaned forward slightly, and his eyes were almost on the door, as if he was looking at something.

Because he was so focused, even Hu Muzhi entered the store, but the man didn't notice it.

As they got closer, Hu Muzhi realized that this person was actually Zhang Jun.

Don't ask, she must have come to find Xia Yurou.

But what is this guy looking at?

"Hey."

Hu Muzhi shouted at Zhang Jun.

And this 'hello' made Zhang Jun's whole body jolted and turned around abruptly.

When he saw that the person calling him was Hu Muzhi, Zhang Jun's face suddenly turned red.

"What are you doing here..."

Before the word 'ma' could be said, Zhang Jun suddenly turned sideways, pushed Hu Muzhi towards the door, turned and ran outside the store.

Unprepared, Hu Muzhi stumbled and slammed into the door heavily.

And the door was not completely closed, so Hu Muzhi slammed the door open directly.

Looking at the scene inside the house, Hu Muzhi was stunned.

Because Xia Yurou was changing her work clothes.

But only the back.

Swish!

When Xia Yurou heard the door ring, she instinctively turned around and found Hu Muzhi staring at her with wide eyes.

At this moment, Xia Yurou's face darkened instantly.

"Manager Xia, I..."

Hu Muzhi wanted to explain, however, Xia Yurou didn't give him any chance and shouted sharply, "Get out."

Hu Muzhi knew that Xia Yurou must be angry at this meeting. She wouldn't believe what she said, so she got up from the ground, exited the room, and helped Xia Yurou close the door.

"Damn, I've become a scapegoat in such a daze?"

Hu Muzhi greeted the eighteenth generation of Zhang Jun's ancestors in his heart.
