This is an expected result. For top journals like AM, the number of articles that can be published each year in the same field is limited. In other words, if you publish more, others will naturally have fewer. For the same job, if you happen to meet two or three nice reviewers, you may pass the review. It has been drafted, but if there is a tough (strict) reviewer, it may be rejected or suggested to resubmit.

Especially for journals like AM with no shortage of manuscripts, basically as long as there is a negative opinion, the editor will reject the manuscript or suggest resubmission.

Of course, occasionally a third reviewer will be found for arbitration. How to do it depends on the mood of the editor.

Having said that, switching from AM to AEM like this is already the best result. The gap between the two journals is not big, and the impact factors are very close, both of which are around 20, which roughly correspond to T1 in the journal. And T1.25 level, so Xu Qiu and Wei Xingsi changed the text without much hesitation, and then directly transferred to it.

If the comments received are to be transferred to AELM, "Energy Technology" and other journals in the second, third and fourth districts, or other unknown new journals, then Xu Qiu and Wei Xingsi will definitely not agree, and either appeal or change the format and transfer to ACS Or RSC, vote for JACS, EES and the like.

Similarly, for example, if you submit a manuscript to "Nature" and you are transferred to a major sub-journal of "Nature", most people will choose to accept it, but if it is transferred to NC, some people will choose to appeal.

Another Angew's article, luck is better, the final opinion is a minor revision, only need to answer some questions, add some unclear expressions in the article, without additional experiments.

In addition, there are three other AM articles in the group, one is Chen Wanqing's PCE10: IEICO system, one is Mo Wenlin's H22:ITIC:PCBM ternary system, and the other is Wu Shengnan's PCE10:FN-4F system.

Among them, the opinions of Mo Wenlin and the post-doctoral senior sister's two articles were greatly revised, and the time limit was 20 days.

The reason for the major change is that, on the one hand, the English level of the two of them is not high enough, they have been in the industry for a short time, and their understanding of organic photovoltaics is also weak. It is not impossible to make a small change, or even be accepted directly;

On the other hand, it is also because too many good articles have been published recently in the group. When you submit an article for a journal of AM grade again, some colleagues will put you under a magnifying glass, even if the innovation of these two works is not low. I also want to pick out a bunch of other problems for you. An article contains more than 3,000 words and hundreds of sentences. If you want to pick the bones, you can always do it.

Moreover, before the holiday, Wei Xingsi contributed nearly ten articles in a row, and revised the articles to the point of vomiting. Later, he was not as serious as he was at the beginning, and it was inevitable that there would be many mistakes and omissions.

Mo Wenlin and Wu Shengnan, although it is more troublesome to make major revisions to the article, but the probability of being accepted by AM after careful revision is quite high.
