I have a wizarding world
#15 - Come to your door
Another world, in a dense forest.
The dense forest at dawn was somewhat desolate, with only occasional bird calls. The beasts seemed to have finished their night's hunt and returned to silence.
Fang Cheng quietly looked at the newly filled brown earthen pit, lost in thought. Eight corpses from Earth were buried forever in the land of another world.
"Let's go back."
After leaving that sentence, Fang Cheng took the lead and returned to the carriage.
The remaining slaves and Renault, upon hearing this, silently mounted their horses and followed behind.
"Clop, clop, clop."
Fang Cheng listened to the sound of horses' hooves outside the carriage, but his mind was contemplating the whole affair.
Escaping was definitely out of the question; he hadn't been exposed yet.
The immediate priority was to find the glass beads he had sold initially and retrieve them.
After sorting out his thoughts, Fang Cheng felt much more at ease.
"Renault."
Fang Cheng lifted the curtain on the side of the carriage.
"Master," Renault lowered his body slightly and responded.
"Help me inquire whether Morton City has any translucent, spherical gemstones up for auction recently."
"As you command, Master."
Renault placed his right hand on his chest and accepted the order.
After instructing Renault, Fang Cheng felt slightly relieved.
In less than three days.
Fang Cheng saw the spherical glass bead that Renault handed over, and his heart completely settled down.
Finally, he had it back. With this, his connection to Roger would be completely severed for the murderer. No one would know that the six glass beads had come from him.
Fang Cheng carefully thought about it. No one knew about the first and second times he sold glass beads to Roger except Roger himself, but he was now dead. Moreover, the glass bead that had been circulating outside had been bought back by Renault under a disguised identity.
The only flaw had been erased by him. Now, at most, others would know that he had done gemstone transactions with Roger. However, Roger was a gemstone merchant himself, and there were too many people who did gemstone transactions with him.
If the murderer wanted to find clues again, they would have to investigate all the people who had traded with Roger one by one, but this project was obviously too large, and it was difficult to guarantee no omissions.
At this point, Fang Cheng breathed a sigh of relief.
Compared to Fang Cheng's great relief, Albert's mood was not so good.
He had been investigating for five days, and he still hadn't found any clues about the source of the six glass beads.
South of Morton City, two wizards wearing black robes walked on the street. The pedestrians on the road, seeing their attire, took the initiative to avoid them.
"Albert."
Beside Albert, a wizard wearing a black linen robe with a shining, strange pattern embroidered on his chest with golden thread. At first glance, it looked like a triangular pattern, but upon closer inspection, the pattern turned into a circle. If ordinary people kept staring at it, their entire spirit would be attracted by this strange pattern, gradually turning into a walking corpse.
"Lord Ruby." Hearing the wizard beside him call him, Albert quickly lowered his body, making a submissive gesture.
"Since you can't find it, don't waste your energy. Put more of your energy into pharmaceutics," Ruby instructed in a bland tone.
"As you wish, Lord," Albert verbally agreed, but inwardly he scoffed.
Ruby was not only a high-level wizard apprentice but also a seed wizard heavily cultivated by the Black and White Tower. Whether it was the knowledge to become a formal wizard, spell models, or various meditation magic stones and potions, Ruby lacked almost nothing.
He naturally couldn't understand how difficult it was for a low-level wizard apprentice with ordinary talent in the Black and White Tower to obtain a little cultivation resource.
The Black and White Tower was the true overlord-level force in the entire Northern Continent, but it was not a charitable organization.
Wizard apprentices accounted for 99% of the Black and White Tower and were the most useless. Except for those seed wizards, other apprentices, if they didn't become formal wizards one day, were disposable trash to the Black and White Tower.
Ruby looked at Albert's indifferent appearance, sighed in his heart, but still kindly reminded him: "Albert, you have talent in pharmaceutics, don't bury it. For you, it's more valuable than a mere Bright Stone formula."
Bright Stone was the other world's name for glass.
Looking at Albert's nonchalant look, Ruby shook his head slightly in his heart. What a foolish fellow.
He clearly had good talent in pharmaceutics, but he insisted on pursuing the Bright Stone formula persistently. He didn't even think about it. If the Bright Stone formula was really that important, would other formal wizards not study it and compete for it?
In fact, there was no need at all. Although Bright Stone only circulated among wizards, it was still a very cheap thing in the end and had no great value.
Otherwise, how could those wizard lords have watched the Black and White Tower control such a large piece of fat? It was laughable that Albert still regarded it as a treasure.
Albert didn't not know that Bright Stone wasn't very valuable.
He knew, but for a low-level wizard apprentice like him, even if Bright Stone wasn't very valuable, it was still a big piece of fat.
One must know that a complete set of tools for configuring potions was worth a magic stone.
If he obtained a new Bright Stone formula, perhaps the resources to advance to an intermediate wizard apprentice would be within reach.
Therefore, Albert couldn't afford to be careless. Ruby was obviously a full man who didn't know the hunger of a hungry man.
After Ruby said these words, he no longer cared about Albert. As long as he didn't court death and hinder his affairs, he could do whatever he wanted.
The two walked for about twenty minutes.
They stopped in front of a luxurious castle. If insiders knew, they would shout loudly that this was the castle of the uncrowned king of this land, Viscount Morton.
Ruby looked at the castle in front of him and tidied up his wizard robe. Viscount Morton was not an easy fellow to deal with.
Inside Fang Cheng's manor, on the training ground.
"Clang!"
Fang Cheng blocked Renault's long sword with a backhand, and with a wave of his right arm upwards, he parried the long sword back.
Renault took a few steps back, sheathed his long sword, and looked surprised.
The most ⊥ new ⊥ small ⊥ said ⊥ in ⊥ six ⊥ 9 ⊥⊥ book ⊥⊥ bar ⊥⊥ first ⊥ hair!
"Master's progress is really beyond my expectations." After a long while, Renault couldn't help but blurt out a sentence.
Fang Cheng smiled upon hearing Renault's praise. He knew his own affairs best. If it weren't for the cheat provided by the virtual learning space, he wouldn't have been able to progress so rapidly.
Fang Cheng held the sword hilt with his left hand and flicked the sword body twice with his right finger, making a "clang clang" sound. As expected, it's fine steel, Fang Cheng thought silently.
Since Fang Cheng took the Melo potion and his strength suddenly soared, Fang Cheng lost control of his own strength.
The last time he accidentally killed someone was due to Fang Cheng's lack of control over his own strength. This time, Fang Cheng painfully reflected and, in the past few days in another world, desperately followed Renault to learn basic swordsmanship, learning to control his own soaring strength. Relying on the heaven-defying ability of the virtual learning space, he finally gained a little and would no longer accidentally kill people.
"How is it? Now you think it was a great deal to take me as a student!" Fang Cheng was in a good mood and even joked with Renault.
Renault's mouth twitched, quite speechless at Fang Cheng's narcissism.
"Master."
The two were chatting when Lina walked over with graceful steps. Seeing Fang Cheng, she quickly lowered her head and saluted.
"What's the matter?" Fang Cheng was in a good mood and asked Lina with a smile.
"There's a strange person wearing a black robe outside the manor who has come to visit." Lina raised her head, glanced at Fang Cheng, and quickly lowered her head again.
Seeing Lina so afraid of him, Fang Cheng couldn't help but shake his head and smile wryly. In the end, this matter was due to his initial overreaction, which frightened Lina. Until now, she and her sister Sophie still acted like mice seeing a cat when they saw him.
Fang Cheng tidied up his slightly messy dark blue robe and pondered for a moment.
"Please invite him in."
"As you command, Master." Lina accepted the order and retreated.
Fang Cheng then looked at Renault: "Let's meet him together."
"As you command, Master." Renault bowed slightly in response.
Inside the castle, the floor of the hall was paved with marble, covered with a thick wool carpet with a red pattern. In the middle of the hall was a huge long dining table, which Fang Cheng estimated could seat dozens of people.
The long table was filled with fruits and candles. If distinguished guests stayed for a meal, it would be filled with a dazzling array of food.
The height of the living room reached more than ten meters, giving people a solemn and dignified feeling as soon as they entered.
At the top of the living room hung a huge chandelier as high as four meters. The chandelier was oval in shape and consisted of ninety-nine lamps.
The lamps were filled with tung oil, which was said to burn for decades and was a specialty of Seven Star Island.
The light emitted by the entire chandelier illuminated the entire living room day and night.
At this time.
Fang Cheng was sitting at the head of the long dining table, and Renault stood beside Fang Cheng.
The two were quietly waiting for the guest to arrive.
As the castle gate was opened, a young man wearing a black robe slowly walked over.
He had a head of long golden hair draped casually over his shoulders, and his face seemed somewhat unclear, but the most eye-catching thing was the strange pattern on his black robe. The pattern was red, and it was unknown what material it was embroidered with.
Fang Cheng only glanced at it and felt that his whole person was attracted by the strange pattern, and his entire brain was in a trance.
"Master, don't stare at it."
Renault shouted violently, awakening Fang Cheng, who was immersed in the illusion.
Albert was slightly surprised that there was actually a formal knight. Interesting, a strange smile appeared on the corner of Albert's mouth.
"Everyone, I am from"
"Renault, attack!"
Fang Cheng roared loudly, and before he could finish speaking, he drew the long sword hanging at his waist, and with a quick step, slashed at Albert's neck.
