I have a wizarding world
#43 - Meeting People
For three consecutive days, Fang Cheng had focused almost all of his attention on concocting the Merlot potion.
As for Irene, during this week or so, besides teaching Fang Cheng Mobis language, she had searched almost every corner of Morton City, but still couldn't find any trace of her brother Reno. It seemed Reno had indeed left Morton City. As for where he went, Irene had no way of knowing. Thinking of this, Irene planned to bid farewell to Fang Cheng.
Inside the castle.
Fang Cheng heard from a servant that Irene was looking for him and hurried over.
"Knock, knock, knock."
Fang Cheng knocked on Irene's door.
"Come in," Irene's voice sounded a little tired. It seemed that the past week or so hadn't been easy for her.
Fang Cheng pushed open the door and walked in.
"Lady Irene," Fang Cheng said respectfully with his head lowered. The more he learned about wizards, the more he felt their power. It could even be said that wizards were on a completely different level from ordinary people, or even knights.
Moreover, Irene was an intermediate wizard apprentice, obviously stronger than the wizard who almost killed him last time.
Irene raised her head, looked at Fang Cheng with a complicated expression, and hesitated for a moment, "You seem to really want to become a wizard."
"Yes, Lady Irene," Fang Cheng didn't think it was something worth hiding.
Irene nodded and smiled, "In that case, come with me to see someone. Perhaps, he can lead you onto the path of a wizard."
Hearing this, Fang Cheng's impression of Irene completely changed. He had been thinking that when he became powerful in the future, he would definitely get revenge for what happened last time, but now, he didn't have such thoughts at all.
"As you wish, Lady Irene," Fang Cheng's voice was slightly excited. Although he didn't know who Irene was taking him to see, he knew that he would definitely gain something this time.
Ever since he learned Mobis language and understood some common knowledge about wizards, Fang Cheng knew that it was impossible to become a wizard by secluding himself. Not to mention the resources needed for cultivation, just the various knowledge along the way couldn't be created by secluding oneself.
Therefore, having a teacher to guide him was very important. At least it would give you a way to acquire wizard knowledge.
Fang Cheng didn't know who Irene was taking him to see. Since she didn't say, he wouldn't ask. As long as it wouldn't harm him, that was enough. He would naturally find out when the time came.
The two of them rode in a carriage, left the manor, and headed south of Morton City.
About half an hour later.
The carriage stopped in front of a luxurious castle. There was only one castle in Morton City, and that was the residence of Viscount Morton.
As expected, it's Viscount Morton. Fang Cheng thought to himself as he looked at the castle in front of him. In fact, Fang Cheng had a vague guess in his mind before coming.
In this small Morton City, if there was anyone Fang Cheng couldn't see through, it would be Viscount Morton. This could be seen from the fact that he dared to sell Merlot potions openly.
"Fang Cheng, when you see Viscount Morton, be sure to be respectful. In addition to being an advanced wizard apprentice, he is also a pharmacist," Irene instructed Fang Cheng before entering the castle.
"As you wish, Lady Irene."
Even without Irene's instructions, Fang Cheng wouldn't be foolish. Before he had the strength, he would be as careful as possible with these unfathomable wizards from another world, after all, he only had one life.
The two got out of the carriage.
Irene took out a silver badge to the guard guarding the castle. After seeing it, the guard respectfully saluted Irene, and then quickly turned around and went in to report.
Fang Cheng and Irene stood outside the castle and waited.
About ten minutes later.
The guard who went in to report came out and said, "His Lordship invites you in." After speaking, he made an inviting gesture.
Irene heard this and strode towards the castle. Fang Cheng held his breath and followed closely behind Irene.
Soon.
The two entered the castle. On the way in, Fang Cheng kept his eyes on the surrounding environment. To be honest, Viscount Morton shouldn't be considered a person who enjoys luxury, which could be seen from the simple and unadorned decoration of his castle.
Logically, as the sole ruler of Viscount Morton's territory, Morton's life must be very extravagant, but in fact, it wasn't.
Even when Fang Cheng met him in person, he didn't even see a maid serving him. You know, even Fang Cheng usually had the twin sisters Ellie and Sophie serving him.
"Brother Morton, how have you been lately?" Irene's words startled Fang Cheng. Viscount Morton was actually Irene's senior brother.
"Little Irene, I'm sorry, I've been researching a potion for a while and haven't paid attention to your brother's matter," Viscount Morton said with apology. Logically, if Irene's brother was in trouble in Morton City, Viscount Morton, as Irene's half-senior brother, would have lent a hand.
Sure enough, after hearing these words, Irene's expression changed constantly, eventually turning into a sigh.
"It's not your fault, Brother Morton. It's just that my brother is unlucky. Fortunately, he is not in mortal danger now, but I don't know where he is," Irene said in a low voice. Obviously, not finding her brother was a big blow to her.
Fang Cheng secretly glanced at Viscount Morton when he spoke.
Morton looked like a middle-aged man with long brown hair and a full beard, also brown and very thick. He was wearing a gray robe with strange golden patterns drawn on it.
Fang Cheng now knew that it was a magic rune, a golden magic rune, representing the identity of an advanced wizard apprentice.
The two continued to exchange pleasantries for a few more words, seeming to become much more familiar.
"Brother Morton, I'm here this time not only about my brother's matter, but also to buy a Wraith Potion from you." Saying this, Irene's expression became serious.
"Oh?" Morton was slightly surprised to hear this. "The Wraith Potion requires a lot of magic stones."
"I helped my mentor complete a research project this time, and the mentor paid me 100 points, otherwise I wouldn't have enough magic stones to buy it." Saying this, Irene's mood improved.
"100 points?" Morton laughed. "Lord Bella is really generous this time!" Morton exclaimed.
Irene also laughed aside.
"Who is this?"
At this time, Morton turned around and looked at Fang Cheng, who was behind Irene.
What kind of eyes were these? Fang Cheng couldn't describe them in words. He only felt that his consciousness and thoughts were completely stagnant! It seemed that at this moment, time was still for him.
Irene saw Fang Cheng's pupils begin to blur, dissipate, and gradually fall into dead silence.
"Fang Cheng! Wake up!!!"
A loud noise exploded in Fang Cheng's ears, as if a firecracker had been lit in his ear, causing his brain to roar.
He didn't know how long it had been, maybe an hour, maybe a second, but Fang Cheng woke up. The world in his eyes changed from black and white to vivid again, alive! Alive!!! Fang Cheng let out a mournful and powerless cry in his heart.
"Sorry, I'm researching a new potion and haven't had a good rest for more than ten days. My mental power is a little out of control," Morton said with a slightly apologetic tone. After all, he had almost killed the young man in front of him by accident just now. "You're called Fang Cheng, right?"
Fang Cheng was somewhat dazed as he listened to Viscount Morton's words. He still hadn't recovered from the mental damage he had just suffered, and his mind was still in a mess.
"Cough cough, Fang Cheng, your senior brother is asking you a question," Irene coughed softly to remind him from the side.
"Yes, sir, my name is Fang Cheng," Fang Cheng finally reacted. He suppressed the anger and humiliation in his heart, bowed, and spoke cautiously.
Almost, just a little bit! He would have been buried in this alien world forever like Li Minghui and the other eight people, and he wouldn't even have had time to issue the crossing command from the intelligent learning machine.
Sure enough, in this world, the strong are the truth! He must master the power of wizards!
Fang Cheng clenched his fists tightly!
