I have an eye of truth
#112 - Red Scale Sacrifice
Quickly approaching the elderly Awakened, once close enough, Wang Yang prepared to launch a sneak attack.
But the elderly Awakened, who was in the middle of moving, suddenly stopped, and red纹路 appeared on his body, making the already large red scales even larger.
Even his neck was covered in red scales, making him look less like a normal person.
"He discovered me? It seems this old fellow has special perception abilities."
The red-scaled Awakened then spoke: "Come out, primitive human."
A hint of annoyance flashed in Wang Yang's eyes as he heard that term again.
"You, a monster who has abandoned your human identity, dares to say such things? You're just a low-level piece of trash."
Wang Yang couldn't help but retort; these Awakened were truly annoying.
Wang Yang never believed that humans were inferior, after all, he had been raised with the belief that humans were the spirit of all things, how could he be like them?
Even in this world, when humans were at a disadvantage, they rose up in resistance, leading to the current situation.
Although the situation for humans was still quite dangerous, it was a world of difference compared to the past.
Moreover, human strength was simply incomparable to a mere Bloodscale Clan.
The other party showed no emotional fluctuation, and suddenly raised his staff, unleashing a burst of red light.
The four attendants who had been following him suddenly clutched their heads and fell to the ground.
What was going on? Attacking their own people? Clearing the field before the battle?
But why eliminate their own people?
However, Wang Yang soon realized the reason; it turned out these four guys were spellcasting materials.
In their pain, the four people's bodies slowly transformed, gradually turning into monsters crawling on all fours.
Red scales covered their bodies, along with some cyan纹路.
A large tail grew from their backs, and their heads completely deformed, until their entire bodies transformed into large lizards.
Judging by their cold gazes and the glint of cold light on their bodies, it was clear that these things were dangerous.
"Troublesome things."
A hint of vigilance flashed in Wang Yang's eyes; after these monsters took shape, they could actually bring him a sense of danger.
This indicated that their strength had definitely reached the level of elementary mutated beasts.
If it was just one, it would be fine, but so many was very dangerous.
Most importantly, there was an even more dangerous spellcaster behind them, who, according to the rumors, should be a Bloodscale Priest.
Five elementary-level enemies, working together, would not be so easy to deal with.
However, Wang Yang had no time to think, because the Bloodscale Priest had already made his move.
Red light gathered around him, turning into small balls that suddenly shot towards Wang Yang's hiding place.
Wang Yang flashed aside, dodging the small balls, which smashed into the sewer walls, instantly shattering the surrounding sewer into powder.
It was clearly red, but it didn't have the heat of flames, but rather a kind of coldness.
Looking at the area that had just been attacked, the red energy was still corroding the ground.
"What insidious attack methods."
Just as Wang Yang finished speaking, the four monsters pounced over.
The Bloodscale Priest waved the staff in his hand, and red light chased after the lizard monsters, further strengthening their power.
"Strong human, hand over the potion, and I'll give you a chance to join us."
"I have no desire to become a monster when I can be a human.
Besides, aren't you Bloodscale Clan inherently inferior beings? How can you compare to humans?"
"Human, your vision is too narrow.
The Bloodscale Clan is indeed weak, but the source of our bloodline is not."
Just as he was speaking, two black shadows suddenly appeared, and long blades stabbed straight at the Bloodscale Awakened.
The Bloodscale Priest didn't expect that something could actually attack him, and instinctively released red light to defend, blocking the attack.
But the black shadows suddenly disappeared, hiding in the surroundings.
The Bloodscale Priest felt somewhat vigilant; of the four lizard monsters that were originally rushing towards Wang Yang, one suddenly retreated, leaving the remaining three still attacking Wang Yang.
The Bloodscale Priest didn't know what was attacking him, but he couldn't expose himself.
As a priest, he himself was very fragile.
"Only one retreated? That's a bit troublesome."
Wang Yang felt helpless; he had thought he could get two of them to retreat, making it easier to deal with the remaining two.
But he had to act quickly; not only did he have other targets to hunt down, but if he delayed too long with this guy in front of him, who knew what he might do.
Who knew how many years this guy had been a priest, or how many tricks he had up his sleeve, while he himself only had a few skills.
Most importantly, he didn't have much time; the convoy was approaching.
If he couldn't resolve the trouble here in the shortest amount of time, the convoy would be in danger when it arrived.
Thinking of this, Wang Yang simply charged towards a lizard monster in front of him.
A black lightning suddenly erupted, and the lizard didn't expect Wang Yang to have such a move.
The lightning struck the lizard's body, paralyzing and making it tremble all over.
"Such tenacious vitality."
Wang Yang didn't expect that this guy would only be injured and paralyzed, instead of dying directly.
Helpless, he could only rush up, raise his long blade, and directly deliver a final blow, killing it.
The other two lizard monsters pounced over at this moment.
The sewer was very narrow, with no other space to dodge.
Wang Yang directly charged towards one of them, lightning enhancing his blade, and battle aura erupting.
He thrust the long blade in his hand straight at the lizard monster in front of him, completely ignoring the lizard monster behind him.
In terms of skill, Wang Yang was not comparable to these guys who had temporarily transformed into monsters.
Although the long blade was thrust out, the angle was special, blocking the opponent's claws and pushing them outwards.
The tip of the blade aimed at the monster's chin, and with a single thrust, directly pierced through it.
Almost at the same time, the lizard monster behind him attacked, fiercely clawing at Wang Yang's back.
The huge force made Wang Yang take two steps forward, and his clothes were directly torn open.
Under that terrifying attack, his battle aura armor actually failed to completely block it, and some of it was shattered.
The sharp attack left three claw marks on his back, fortunately without injuring the flesh.
Wang Yang instantly turned around, and seeing the monster pounce again, Wang Yang swung his blade back, the blade light forming a protective circle around his body, and the circle happened to pass through the monster's body.
