I was Hermione's puppy at Hogwarts

Chapter 9 Dumbledore is at the door!

Not long after Hermione lay down, she felt a flutter at the end of her quilt. Then, something furry got in.

It turned out that according to the rules of the wolf pack, wolves would huddle together to keep warm when sleeping in winter. Lovell naturally refused to violate this principle and slept alone on the floor.

So it climbed up.

The fluffy little wolf cub squeezed into the bed and curled up at Hermione's feet. Seeing that the wolf cub was so well-behaved, Hermione didn't mind anything and just let the wolf cub come in and join in the fun. Not to mention, the wolf cub's fur was still there.

It was quite soft and very comfortable to use to warm your feet. Just like that, Hermione and Lovell fell asleep together.

The lights in Granger's house were extinguished one by one, and finally merged into the darkness completely. Just as everyone was gradually falling asleep, two old people suddenly appeared on the corner of the street outside the house.

The man on the left is tall and thin, with silver hair and a silver beard that can be tucked into his belt. He wears a simple gray robe, with a big golden-red bird on his arm, and a pair of bright blue eyes behind half-moon glasses.

Eyes sparkling.

The man on the right has messy chestnut hair. Although he has no beard, the sagging skin and more obvious freckles on his face also indicate that he is old. He is wearing a washed black suit with some white hair underneath.

A yellow vest. He was also carrying a somewhat worn leather suitcase in his hand.

These two people are Albus Dumbledore and Newt Scamander.

Seeing Dumbledore take out something that looked like a silver lighter from his pocket, Newt coughed dryly, attracting Dumbledore's attention.

"Professor, is it inconvenient for us to come now?" He pointed to the moon, "It's too late."

Newt complained in his heart that if Dumbledore hadn't insisted on going to a dessert shop to queue for "lemon ice cream", they would have arrived by dinner time.

Dumbledore thought for a moment and realized that it was indeed not very polite to visit him late at night.

"Then let's come back early tomorrow morning. Maybe we can have breakfast." Dumbledore blinked and said happily.

Newt sighed: "Then where should we stay at night? I'm old and don't really want to live in a box."

"There are plenty of empty houses." Dumbledore walked to the garden of a villa on the street very naturally, and opened the door of the garden very naturally - the owner of this villa was on vacation, and it was just right for the two old people to stay.

Just enough for one night.

"This is illegal trespassing." Newt complained in a low voice, but he honestly carried the box and followed. As he said, he was old, and his waist told him that spending one night in the box was not a good idea.

A wise choice.

A night of silence.

The next day was a rare sunny day, and Hermione woke up very early.

After the girl woke up, she noticed a numbing sensation on the soles of her feet. This itching came from the itchy flesh, which made her groan and twist her body.

Lovell rolled his tongue, arched his body and stretched.

"You're finally awake." He lay lazily on the bed and cupped Hermione's soles, "Isn't it time to have breakfast?"

The sudden voice startled Hermione. She subconsciously kicked her legs and kicked the wolf cub off the bed. The unsuspecting Lovell fell to the floor with a muffled thud.

"Ah, sorry!" Hermione woke up and remembered what happened yesterday, "Mom should have prepared breakfast. You go down first, I will be there in a while."

The wolf cub was a little dissatisfied at being kicked inexplicably, but when he heard that breakfast was ready, he happily went downstairs to eat.

Hermione quickly lifted off the quilt, put on a pair of pajamas, washed herself hastily, and then went downstairs to have breakfast.

British food is always associated with words such as darkness, scarcity, and desert, but the English breakfast is an exception. It may be the richest breakfast in the world. The British themselves complain that they "eat like a king for breakfast and eat like a king for lunch."

Be like a prince and eat your dinner like a beggar”.

To welcome the wolf cub into the family, Mrs. Granger prepared a full English breakfast, with bacon, sausages, fried eggs, roasted tomatoes, roasted mushrooms, and toast piled all over the plate in the corner.

There is also a spoonful of baked beans and a few potato cubes. As for cream and black tea, they are even more essential.

The wolf cub took a deep breath and felt the love from Mrs. Granger. Just when it was about to start, the doorbell of Granger's house rang.

"I'll go take a look." Mr. Granger put down the knife and fork in his hand and went to answer the door. The wolf cub pricked up his ears, and an unpleasant premonition came to his mind.

It always felt like it smelled a familiar smell.

Isn't it? How did he find me? The wolf cub's eyes widened in shock.

Sure enough, as that familiar voice gradually approached, Lovell's ears stood up, the hair on his body exploded, and the whole wolf expanded in a circle.

Mrs. Granger, who was preparing breakfast carefully, did not notice anything unusual. She was still frying sausages.

Finally, Mr. Granger came to the kitchen with a complicated expression, followed by Dumbledore and Newt.

"We meet again, little wolf." Dumbledore greeted the wolf cub with a smile, while Mr. Granger stood aside and quickly told his wife Dumbledore's origins.

Dumbledore had just communicated with him. Dumbledore told him that the wolf pup did not belong here and that it had to be taken away.

Mr. Granger wanted to object, but could not find any basis for rebuttal. He knew that he was on the wrong side.

"You want to take me away?" Lovell looked at the two of them very vigilantly, and at the same time retreated a little to distance himself from them.

Seeing Lovell talking brazenly in front of Muggles, Dumbledore and Newt's expressions became serious.

"I have to take you away. Your existence is likely to expose the wizarding world. You have violated the Statute of Secrecy by speaking in front of Mr. Granger." Now Dumbledore only hopes that the wolf cub will not be exposed elsewhere.

If he is exposed in front of Muggles, God knows how those people from the Ministry of Magic will deal with this difficult problem of wolf cubs.

"Muggle wolves can't talk." Newt added on the side, "If you do this, you will cause a lot of trouble to the people of the Ministry of Magic. Going with us is the best choice, believe me, little wolf."

Newt has a unique temperament. Lovell's impression of Newt is much better than that of Dumbledore.

He seemed to be born with an easier time gaining the trust of animals than others, which was why Dumbledore had to take him with him. It would be easy to take away the wolf cubs by force, but Dumbledore didn't want to do this, it was not his style.

Lovell was silent for a moment, and finally looked at Newt and said in a pleading tone: "I will hide myself outside, so can I stay here?"
