The T-800 is Skynet's mass-produced Terminator type and Skynet's first cybernetic creature with living tissue on a superalloy endoskeleton. This made it Skynet's first successful infiltrator unit, capable of infiltrating the Resistance. The T-800 is the first in the 8xx series Terminator series in various timelines.

The 800 Series Terminators all contain a neural network processor CPU or "learning computer" that is contained within the skull and protected by inertial shock absorbers. As part of its vast in-house database, the T-800 contains detailed documentation on human anatomy and physiology to make it a more effective killer.

The CPU can also be updated with multiple database files related to advanced infiltration techniques, basic soldier training, emergency medical training, sniper training, an extensive tactical database, and detailed files from other terminators, making each unit a battle-hardened combat veteran.

The silver metal of the T-800 endoskeleton is a microprocessor-controlled triple armored superalloy combat chassis with frictionless bearings and a servo-drive control system at the joints. Its limbs are controlled by an axial drive motor and a clavicle traction link, allowing the T-800 to maneuver faster than the T-600 Terminator.

Because of the burst speed of up to 22 mph, the joint assembly is no longer threatened. The T-800 is also 600% lighter / 40% lighter than the T-400, and the armored frame is capable of withstanding most modern small-caliber weapons, and sometimes even a direct hit from a grenade launcher.

Capabilities of the T-800: The HUD has a tracking mark, which is almost identical, but excludes a number of points that will highlight the target.

The T-800 is capable of running internal system checks, calculating the distance of an object relative to itself, aiming with a precise head-up display, performing detailed dynamics studies of trajectories, sampling and analyzing nicotine levels of the atmosphere, weather patterns, wind speed, and tobacco smoke, analyzing human emotional states (to assess possible hostility), analyzing body language and muscle contraction directions, calculating gravity, analyzing material texture and temperature, and sensing radar scanning.

It is equipped with an internal timer, and in order to keep track of its combat units, Skynet assigns a serial number to each unit. The serial number refers to the type of internal structure or chassis (endoskeleton). However, the 800 series also has different configurations of living tissue, each of which gives it a different human appearance. Thus, the physical appearance of living tissues (originally based on the photo records of the Skynet database and laser scans of human soldiers) was also given the model.

The 800 Series is also equipped with a human voice, allowing it to replicate any human voice pattern it already hears enough samples. It does this by recording and storing the syllables of the subject's voice, which it then plays back and digitally synthesizes their speech patterns. The T-800's auditory sensors are located on either side of the head where the human ear is located. One ear records the complete unbalanced range of external sounds, while the other ear can automatically filter the signal into a narrow range of specific auditory signals.

The T-800's optical sensor can sample a wider range of visible frequencies, including infrared (which allows it to see heated objects in complete darkness). This information is then displayed on a 40,000-bit digitized display.

Anti-shock lenses protect the T-800's eyes that are able to move independently. When using both eyes to track two different targets moving in different directions, depth perception is artificially created by creating a computer-generated declinted ghost.

The T-800 is capable of motion tracking, search patterns, facial recognition and recognition, and has a wide range of visual enhancements, including remote "zoom" (the T-800 can quickly zoom in an image by about 15x), motion analysis, and "night imagination." The vision system of the T-800 appears to be (at least) programmed in COBOL and 6502 components (specifically the Apple+2 component).

T-800 Terminators do not feel pain and do not have nerve endings, but they can feel "hurt" (damage). When damaged, the T-800 repairs the damage itself as much as possible.

If disabled, the T-800 is able to reroute its systems to auxiliary backup power, bypassing any disconnected connections, broken circuitry, or internal damage. The 800 Series also features redundant backup hydraulics. Therefore, Resistance members must determine that any T-800 is completely incapacitated during combat so that these units are not able to revive and continue fighting or pursuing targets.

Despite the combat situation, the T-800 has a service life of 120 years on one battery. This small, compact nuclear power battery sits in roughly the same location as the human heart and is shielded in a case-hardened subassembly within a triple armor superalloy torso. A powerful shot, such as a bullet fired from a 0.50 caliber, with a direct hit on its battery or cable will disable the device.

However, the T-800 also has a thrift or economy mode. It does this by collecting and storing excess energy in a compact energy receiver. In this mode, the power is cut off to 40% of the nominal function, the optics are switched to infrared only, and the power unit loses 40% of its hydraulic pressure due to the pump slowing down. In this state, the battery of the T-800 can be used almost indefinitely.

The T-800 is typically equipped with a Westinghouse M-25 phased plasma battle rifle in the 40-watt range or a General Dynamics RBS-80 plasma gun, however it is programmed to be able to use all military-recorded weapons.

For example, the 800 series is in use with the 0.45 Long Slide Automatic Rifle, the Model 1887 Winchester Lever Shotgun, the Franchi SPAS-12 Shotgun, the AR-18 Rifle, the M79 Grenade Launcher, the Uzi 9-mm, and the M134 Rotary Machine Gun.

Due to its ability to learn, it is sometimes able to defeat more advanced series, such as the T-1000 Terminator, in combat. However, if Skynet also sets these units for learning, any particular advantage is negated.

T-800 biopsies include human-like flesh, skin, hair, blood, and other bodily fluids.

The T-800 has a circulation system controlled by a miniature pneumatic pump that maintains a constant pressure. This allowed the T-800 to bleed convincingly when wounded.

Due to the fact that the thermal signatures of living tissues match those of humans, thermal scanners are unable to distinguish between the T-800 and a real person.

In addition, since the organization is designed to mimic a person's physical body, it can accurately mimic bleeding, sweating, bad breath, and even aging. All these features allow the T-800 to penetrate into any human population.

Moreover, as long as its flesh is not completely destroyed, the T-800 will be able to gradually regrow its tissue covering over an unknown period of time. After Guardian's right arm turned bare metal in 1984, it claimed that its flesh would take years to regenerate, as by 2017, Guardian's right arm was once again covered in normal-looking flesh.
