The book rarely mentions "a certain day of the month" because the author has a vague feeling that the serialization mode makes the reading experience intermittent.

Compared with the pale "X month and X day", the description of "twenty days' walk from Bianli to Styx" is more coherent.

But this does not mean that "time" is written casually. The timeline of this story is actually very strict.

There will never be a situation where the army marches into the wilderness for three months and returns to Plato before the winter has passed.

Assuming that AD 962 is the first year of the Imperial Calendar, we can get a calendar for the Imperial Calendar of 558 years.

In this way, descriptions in the book such as "the fourth Tuesday in October" also have specific dates.
