JOJO hiding in the hunter world
#247 - Daily leave for one day
The morning light streamed into the room through the light blue curtains. The curtains softened the light, casting a gentle blue hue instead of a harsh glare.
The room wasn't large, but the light filtering through the window illuminated the entire space. The wooden floor had a faint brown tint, aged by time.
A boy, around twelve or thirteen years old, sat motionless on the bed, his expression blank, like that of an idiot.
He was Lu Youguang, a young man from Hua Country. He had just graduated from university, scraping by for four years at a third-rate institution to get a diploma.
There were plenty of college students like him. With such a worthless diploma, finding a job would be difficult. He and his roommate had been working on a game, but instead of making money, they had lost some.
After drinking a little wine, he passed out and woke up here. Luckily, he had a younger brother. Taking care of their parents shouldn't be a problem.
The boy's bed wasn't far from the mirror. Sitting on the bed, he could clearly see his reflection. Five minutes ago, he had assimilated the memories of this body.
His name was Jon Belloselovich, male, twelve years old, black hair, black eyes, five foot five, decent looking, healthy with no vices, not an orphan, parents alive, no house, no car, no little sister, and no star-shaped birthmark on his neck. No broken engagement, no fits of anger, no magic. This seemed like a safe world.
"Jon, come down for dinner."
The boy averted his gaze, got up, quickly tidied his clothes, and hurried downstairs.
His father was a member of some kind of gang, but Jon didn't know the specifics. Perhaps it was deliberately concealed, as Jon knew very little about him. In Jon's memories, he had only seen him once.
Although he had inherited the memories of his predecessor, some habits were still difficult to change.
"Jon, I'm going out now," the housekeeper said, picking up a small basket. "There's ice cream in the fridge, but don't eat too much."
Jon rolled his eyes. "I'm not a child." Jon watched the housekeeper leave before finally relaxing.
Jon ate a few bites haphazardly and went upstairs. Since it was summer vacation, the twelve-year-old Jorno had time to explore the world.
Based on his memories, this world was definitely not Earth. None of the countries on the world map were ones he had ever heard of in his previous life. And those strange continental shelves... Earth couldn't have created that even in another hundred million years.
Little Jon was still young and didn't have a mature understanding of the world. He couldn't determine where he was based on his memories. Jon turned on the computer to search for information. This old computer belonged to the housekeeper's son and was quite old. Based on the principle of making use of waste, they had given it to Jon.
The server took more than a minute to load. Looking at the recommended and pinned posts, he quickly typed a few words and clicked.
Looking at the answers given by the search engine, Jon was dumbfounded. 'Whale Island, surrounded by the sea on all sides, inhabited mainly by fishermen, with beautiful scenery and a large number of rare animals.'
Whale Island was the birthplace of Gon Freecss, the protagonist of Hunter x Hunter. Combining this with the fact that the occupations of the wealthy on the rich list he had just seen inexplicably listed 'Professional Hunter,' Jon was sure that this was the world of Hunter x Hunter.
This world could be considered a mid-level martial arts world, with an extremely high level of danger. This was anything but a safe world.
"I thought it was a slice-of-life world, but it turned out to be the Hunter world," Jon muttered, lying on the bed, recalling the memories of his previous life. A fear of not being able to return home and a fear of his life being out of his control intertwined.
He thought of his homeland in his previous life. Although he was a wage slave, at least he had a government to stand up for him, and he wouldn't be killed at the drop of a hat. In this world, if you were casually killed by the Phantom Troupe, who would you cry to?
Suddenly, Jon paused. He remembered the novels he had read on Qidian in his previous life. Under normal circumstances, the protagonist who transmigrated would have a golden finger. He silently chanted, "Old Grandpa, System-kun, Main God, if you're there, say something."
"System is activating..." A heavenly electronic voice echoed in his mind. Even the outside the window...
What? A system? I really am the chosen one. God really still loves me. Jon suddenly became ecstatic. This definitely wasn't a dream. Thinking that he could also embark on a face-slapping journey like other protagonists, killing everything in his path and reaching the pinnacle of the world...
No, as the King of the World, how could he not have a harem of wives and concubines? The golden finger had arrived, next was the time for showing off. Thinking of this, his smile gradually became twisted.
"Detecting the energy system of this world, assimilating..."
"JOJO's Bizarre Adventure is starting."
Jon fell into silence upon seeing this name. This familiar interface, this familiar feeling... this seemed to be the flop game that he and his roommate had made to piggyback on the popularity of Golden Wind, featuring most of the Stands and items from JOJO parts 1-7.
Because everyone was a JOJO enthusiast, they had made it very carefully, which led to an incomplete store system, so the game was a money-losing product. This game was similar to NetEase's games: you could spend money, but you'd still get beaten like a little brother.
"System, are you there?" Jon asked tentatively.
The system didn't respond. Jon understood that this system wasn't very intelligent. He had heard that some people even fell in love with system AIs, which he found a little envious.
However, Jon was quite glad that at least the system wouldn't kill him at the drop of a hat, nor would there be a system spirit constantly beeping and booping for no reason.
Seeing that the system hadn't responded for a long time, Jon skillfully clicked on the newbie gift pack. The same familiar recipe, the same familiar taste.
Inside were three covered cards: an item card, an ability card, and a Stand card. Flipping over the Stand card would guarantee a Stand, but what you got was completely up to luck.
Emmmmmm...
Up to luck.
