Just a Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor
Chapter 240 Nightmare
"It must be that Snape put too much pressure on you in Potions class just now, Harry, and you are so nervous now. There is nothing here at all."
They took the straw and walked around the empty classroom without finding anything. Ron shrugged and said.
Harry always felt that he was right. There was indeed a strange thing looking at him through the windowpane of this classroom just now, but the fact was that there was really nothing here.
Finally, they left the classroom, and Harry threw the straw into the trash can.
"Stop talking about the Triwizard Tournament with Seamus and the others all the time. You must finish your defense class homework today. I will definitely not copy it for you again."
"Hermione you say that every time."
"I'm serious this time! Also, have you introduced our s-p-e-w to others? So that more people can join us."
"I'm not in the mood to tell people that I'm a member of a group called Vomit."
"I've been thinking about writing a letter to Sirius recently, and I don't have time to think about this at the moment."
"You're always like this! Forget it, at worst, I'm going to find Professor Forrest, and he will definitely support me."
"Oh, yes, you are so good to think about Hermione. Then the professor will say, "Hermione, I believe your great cause of liberating the house elves will definitely succeed! "Then you can give up on that ideal."
The three of them chatted and walked away, and just after they left, an arm made of dead branches slowly stretched out from the shadow of the empty classroom, and the broken kerosene lamp gently glowed on the arm. Shaking.
Then, a faint orange flame flickered from the kerosene lamp.
...
That night, Harry had a nightmare.
He dreamed that he was caught by Voldemort. The demon whose face could not be seen clearly laughed and pointed his wand at him, using the killing curse.
He was hit by the killing curse, but did not die. Lily once again endured this death for him, and in the end she could only look at him with infinite nostalgia in her eyes, and finally disappeared.
Harry suddenly sat up in bed, gasping for air.
Staring at the night sky outside the window, he waited for his mood to calm down completely before looking at the current time.
It was three o'clock in the morning, still a long time before dawn, but Harry couldn't sleep now. He sat on the bed and didn't dare to summon Lily.
While he was in a daze, he suddenly heard movement from Ron's bed.
"Ron?"
Harry called softly, and Ron gasped and opened the curtains on his bed.
"I had a nightmare!" He lowered his voice, but his fear and nervousness could clearly be heard. "I dreamed that our whole family was dead. Mom, Dad, Bill, and Charlie were all killed!"
Harry frowned.
"This is very wrong."
Ron looked at him in surprise.
"You had the same nightmare?"
Harry couldn't reveal anything about Lily, so he just nodded in a vague manner.
"I was also woken up by a nightmare just now."
In the dormitory, Seamus seemed to be affected by the sound of their conversation. He turned over with his lips turned on his lips. Neville's snoring was still so gentle. It was obvious that his sleep quality was very good.
Ron got out of his bed and drank a glass of cold water, and soon he calmed down.
"This might be just a coincidence. We both just had a nightmare together." He said pretending to be relaxed.
Harry felt that things were not that simple. Even now, he still couldn't forget the feeling of being spied on in the empty classroom this afternoon.
The more he thought about it, the more he realized that this was not his imagination. There was indeed something in that classroom watching them.
But he didn't say anything more to Ron. He could feel that Ron was actually a little scared now and didn't want to talk too much about this matter.
The two of them were not sleepy for the time being, so they chatted quietly and discussed the Triwizard Tournament until dawn.
Fortunately, today is the weekend, otherwise with their listless appearance, they would be deducted a lot of points no matter which professor they attended.
Arriving at the common room, Harry and Ron sat in front of the fireplace, waiting for Hermione to come out before they could have breakfast together.
Not long after, they saw Hermione, who was also wearing a black circle and looked clearly not sleeping well, walking out of the girls' dormitory.
Harry and Ron were stunned. They looked at each other, and then asked Hermione in unison.
"Did you have a nightmare last night too?"
Hermione seemed to be in a messy mood, and she sat dejectedly on the single sofa.
"I dreamed that dark wizards found my home. They hung my parents in the sky like the wizards who caused trouble in the Quidditch World Cup. They took my wand away, and I could only scream and watch from the side. They fell to the ground and were beaten to death, but they could do nothing."
Harry and Ron looked at each other again, this time the looks in their eyes became more and more disbelieving.
Hermione finally noticed something was wrong with them at this time and looked up at them.
"You said "also"?"
Harry looked solemn.
"Ron and I also had the same nightmare in the middle of the night and were frightened awake. We originally thought it was just a coincidence."
Hermione could see reality more clearly.
"This can't be a coincidence! The possibility of three connected people having nightmares together on the same night is too low, and we haven't been frightened during the day."
Harry thought about something and said thoughtfully.
"I think it has something to do with that classroom. I always felt like someone was staring at us."
Ron couldn't help but shudder.
"But after we entered, it was clear that no one was inside."
They didn't sleep well all night, and now they were very hungry, so they got up and walked to the auditorium while chatting.
"Maybe there are some strange ghosts there. I have read in some magic books that some evil spirits can suck the life of living people and give them nightmares at night."
Hermione said seriously.
Harry looked at them and asked tentatively.
"How about we wait until we finish breakfast and then go to that classroom to have a look?"
Hermione agreed, and Ron, although he looked a little scared, eventually agreed to go with them.
After breakfast, they went to the empty classroom on the basement floor of the castle.
The inside is no different from when they came in yesterday. Because it is underground, no sunlight can shine in, and there is no lighting. They can only rely on some bright light coming from the corridor to prevent the entire classroom from being dark. No fingers visible.
