Kiss Me Not

144 Serve The Main Dessert

Brione didn't know whether to cry or laugh at Berry's last remarks. She really thought she called her tonight to say something very important such as a serious matter in the company or related to her schedule.

Who would have thought that Berry just wanted to share some gossip about Mitch going out on a date with Kevin?

"Oh wait?! What? Kevin and Mitch went on a date?!" Brione asked exasperatedly after digesting Berry's last words, her eyes wide open and mouth gape.

"Yes, Brione! Finally, our old maid friend found a man! It's Kevin! I just hope Mitch succeeded in making Kevin fall head over heels for her! I told her to be more aggressive and bolder. I wonder if she followed my advice or not," Berry said in just one breath, not letting Brione interrupt her words.

"Sigh, I am still waiting for her updates. I told her to update me as soon as she finished. But until now I didn't get any message from her. I'm dying to know what happened on her date. I think she is intentionally ignoring my calls and text messages."

Brione just blinked her eyes several times while listening to Berry's complaints. She didn't get the chance to speak as Berry spoke spontaneously without a stop! It was like she was just having a monologue.

"Hey, Brione, why don't you try asking her? Maybe she will reply once she receives your message!" Berry suggested.

Brione just shook her head helplessly. Berry just loved to gossip.

"Hey, stop bugging Mitch. You never know she is still with Kevin right now, having a romantic dinner as an extension of their date. You knew Mitch well. She will call you herself if she wants to share or tell you something. So just be patient and let her enjoy her first date with Kevin!"

Berry nodded her head as Brione had a point. "Okay. I will wait until midnight! Or else, I will not be able to sleep tonight!"

Brione could no longer hold her laughter after hearing that. 'Oh Berry and her curious mind.'

"Is this the only reason why you called me? Do you know that I am also having a romantic candlelit dinner right now?" Brione said with eyes gleaming with humor. She just wanted to test whether Berry would feel guilty for disrupting their dinner.

"Gosh! Why do you have to flex and emphasize to me that I am the only one who doesn't have a date tonight? So cruel! Ouch, my poor single-dog heart!" Berry uttered overdramatically.

Brione just let out another chuckle as she could imagine Berry's face right now.

"By the way, Brione. I also called you because I have something to tell you about our CEO Derek."

Brione's face crumpled at the mention of that name.

"What is it, Berry?"

"You know, your lawyer, Atty. Kyle Grey went to the office and met CEO Derek. He wanted to discuss the termination of your contract with the company. But CEO Derek refused to talk with him. He demanded your presence!"

"If you had just seen his face, tsk tsk tsk... he was angrier than a wild boar. He erupted like a volcano, fuming with rage as soon as he heard that you want to terminate your contract!"

Brione just sneered as she imagined Derek's reaction.

"Hmm, let him be. It serves him right. Ha, did he really think I will give in to him just because he is the Chairman and the CEO of our company? No way! Atty. Kyle will handle everything."

"Alright, Brione. That's all I wanna say. Sorry for disturbing your romantic dinner. Have fun! Bye-bye!"

Berry didn't wait for Brione to say another word as she hung up the phone right away. She knew Gavin and Brione had lots of catching up to do so she didn't want to disturb them further.

When Brione put down the phone, she noticed that Gavin was staring at her intently with an indescribable expression on his face.

Thinking that he got annoyed for waiting for her, Brione smiled at him sheepishly while scratching her face.

"Sorry for that Darling. Berry had said lots of things." Brione apologized to Gavin.

"I heard it. Is that conceited CEO of Cooper Entertainment bugging you again? Is he giving you a hard time? Just tell me and I will deal with him myself!" Gavin said with his dark expression. His possessive nature was kicking in again.

Brione saw the red warning light so she stood up right away and moved to the back of Gavin's seat. From there, she bent down and hugged him behind, putting her chin over his right shoulder.

"Darling, don't let that guy ruin your mood. It's not worth it. Don't worry, my attorney will be the one to deal with him to discuss my contract termination. I don't have a reason to see him," Brione softly whispered trying to pacify her jealous possessive man.

Even if she said that, Gavin's expression didn't change. He remained silent with eyebrows drawn together while pouting his lips. He was pretending to be upset.

Brione wondered why Gavin was still silent.

'Hmm, it seems that words are not enough to pacify this man.'

With a playful smile plastered on her lips, Brione stopped hugging Gavin. Because of the absence of her warmth, his face crumpled more than ever before. But it was just for a few seconds since Brione's next move brought excitement within him.

Before Gavin realized what she was planning to do, Brione suddenly sat on his lap facing him. Gavin was caught off guard that he could only stare at her with amusement.

Then he saw a seductive smile forming at the corner of her lips before she anchored her arms around his neck.

"Hmm, I bet my Darling already lost his appetite. What should I do now? Should I serve the main dessert now?" Brione cooed in his right ear before nibbling on his earlobe.

Gavin gulped hard, fighting the urge to smile. He was already anticipating Brione's next move.
