Brione sucked in her breath. She smiled at her sister-in-law and said, "You don't need to worry because I am now sure that I'm with him because of who he is and not because I see Gavin in him. I don't like him because of his face but because of his personality and character. Not only that but also the way he treats me Sis.

I can't really explain it but it's like there's a strong bond that pulls us together, more than something superficial like him having Gavin's face. From now on, if he faces any setback, I will be his pillar and support him as long as he wants me. I plan to stay by his side and I will not let him go unless he wants me to."

"Hmm, I guess you are already in love with him. Don't worry, no matter what you decide, your brother and I will always support you," Luo reassured.

"By the way, there's another reason why I'm here. It's because I want to see Gavin's penthouse. I have my team waiting for my signal, Brione. Did you talk to Uncle Damiel about it?" Luo asked. Now that Brione clarified her feelings, the urge to finish her investigation was gnawing at her.

"Yes, I called him and he said that it was okay. Not only that, he even allowed me to stay there whenever I want."

"Hmm, you've already been taking care of Gavin's penthouse all this while but you didn't mention it to anyone. Did you tell Gavin's dad about it?" Luo asked to which Brione nodded.

"I had to tell him about it since we will be bringing other people inside and it's his right as Gavin's father to know. I just told him that I'll be responsible for keeping his house the way it was. I didn't tell him that I was already taking care of it," Brione explained.

"Oh good, hold on a minute, I will call my team and inform them," Luo said.

"Do you think we will find something?" Brione asked.

"Hmm, I am not sure but we will find out very soon," Luo answered and then excused herself to call her team of undercover investigators who were disguised as a team of home cleaning service providers.

Brione sighed. Luo had explained everything to her last night. Her sister-in-law just wanted to get Gavin's DNA sample and cross-check it with Cedric and Uncle Damiel as well.

Brione wanted to put this matter to rest and Luo assured her that she just wanted to finish up the things she had started because she would not get a proper night's sleep if she was left with any unanswered questions.

But Brione knew well that Luo was doing all this for her and she really appreciated how Luo and her brother were always there to help her.

Luo soon finished her call and joined Brione on the sofa. Noah and Cedric were still talking to each other on the balcony when the team arrived. Luo was the one who went to the balcony to tell them that she and Brione were going to check the other penthouse and Noah nodded in approval.

Brione led the way and opened the door to Gavin's penthouse letting the team in.

Meanwhile, on the balcony, Cedric looked at Noah and asked, "What are they going to do there?" He was aware that the penthouse opposite Brione's was Gavin's.

"My wife wants Gavin's DNA sample. If her team successfully obtains any sample from his house then we can test it against yours and Gavin's father. I think that will solve a lot of the questions we have," Noah explained. He figured that there was no need to hide anything from Cedric since the man was always more than willing to cooperate.

Cedric nodded in understanding before looking Noah straight in his eyes and said, "As I was saying, you can entrust Brione to me, Noah, I promise I will not let you down. I've never been more serious about anything or anyone in my life. I want to make Brione my wife if she agrees to it. I am sincere about my intentions towards her and I'm willing to do anything to make her stay by my side."

Noah remained silent for a while before saying, "I hope you understand what you're asking for. I'm sure you will face a lot of problems in the future and most of them won't be nice since you and Gavin look alike. Are you sure you can handle such complications and won't let go of my sister's hand? What if your relationship with her and your future duties for your country clash? Are you saying that you are willing to turn your back on your people just to be with Brione?"

"Yes, if it ever comes to that I will leave everything just to be with her. Because for me, Brione is more important than anything else. But I assure you that things will not come to that. I am confident that I will be with Brione and take care of my people." Cedric declared confidently.

Noah met Cedric's eyes when it hit him… That confidence in his gaze felt familiar…

'What is this?!' He wondered because that look of determination reminded him of another person. That person was just as confident that he could take care of Brione, he had assured him that he did not need to worry… It was Gavin.

And Gavin proved himself to Noah numerous times on so many occasions that he was willing to give away his sister and entrust her well-being in Gavin's hands without hesitation.

"I know everything seems complicated and I understand your concern. You are probably scared to entrust your sister to someone who doesn't even have his memories but I guarantee you that even with my memory gone, Brione is the first and the only person I want to be with till the end of days," Cedric added, hoping he was able to convince Brione's brother that he was someone who could be trusted with his sister.

"You better take care of this properly and ascertain my sister's welfare or else you will personally suffer my wrath, Cedric. I don't care if you're of Royal blood or about the connections you have because to me, you're just a man begging to be with my sister. Be grateful that I am willing to do anything for her as long as I see her happy and content, otherwise you would have no chance. But if you ever break my trust, I swear…"

Cedric interrupted and declared, "I won't."

There was a moment of silence before Cedric continued, "I think you should know this. I plan to take Brione with me to the Palace to introduce her to my father and the rest of my family.

Also about the investigation, you're conducting, I suggest we join hands and combine resources to make it progress smoothly. I'm limiting my movements to ensure the Royal Family doesn't get dragged into any issues pertaining to this matter so there's only so much I can do. But if we combine forces we can investigate a lot more without restrictions.

I will have my men collaborate with you secretly. My memory - fragments of it, anyway -  are coming back to me but nothing is certain yet. I'm still considering mentioning this to Brione but I think you should know about this."

Cedric told Noah about his plans and Cedric added, "I will instruct Kevin, who is handling the investigation, to be in touch with you."
