Green was sure that Kraft was not telling the truth, at least not the whole story.

No evidence was needed. As long as one dealt with such people for a long time, one would come to a similar conclusion: a group of well-disguised outliers whose greatest pleasure in life was to get to the bottom of certain taboos, and the more others were unwilling and rarely involved, the more they liked it.

For these people, they did not even need to benefit from it, but simply regarded the answer and even the process of research as a reward.

If they were willing to occasionally reveal some of the content of the research at hand, it only meant that the real progress had at least exceeded one or two steps.

Just like there was a view that there must be unpublished parts of the book "Structure of the Human Body", which could sentence the author.

Similarly, Kraft also belonged to this type of people. Although Green felt for a while that there was a difference between this professor and that professor, as he got to know him better, his view was later revised: a "Morrison with a stronger sense of social identity and higher moral standards."

This guy could not have used "magic" for the first time.

I can guarantee with years of experience that it is definitely not. In fact, he should have noticed it earlier, the conflict in the dark when they first met, and his performance when he was chased in the maze of the mausoleum.

It was beyond the concepts of night vision and intuition, more like having another eye, hanging "above", looking down and observing from an angle that was not blocked by obstacles such as darkness and walls.

That kind of observation was a bit creepy to think about.

Of course, he didn't think so at the time. There are always some people who perceive the world differently from others, more deeply, but there is nothing strange about it.

This is also the reason why he is willing to cooperate with them. It is always good to cooperate with "ordinary people" with moral bottom line. Regardless of whether the other party believes in God, they have similar views and are easy to reach consensus.

But this place is different. He feels that this place is alive. A person walks into its stone cavity and flowing digestive fluid, the epidermis is digested, some of the internal things are exposed, some are intensified or changed, and the things that come out in the end are strange, and they all think they are still themselves.

Kraft, this professor has no belief in gods to subvert, no loyalty to anyone to betray, and no paranoid ideas to shake. He was flexible, witnessed, understood, and showed considerable habit.

And he was getting more and more used to it.

This was exactly what Green was worried about. Only the ship would capsize in the wind and waves, but the reef would not, because it was deep in the water.

If it was acceptable before, how should we look at this person who just cut something in half in front of everyone that was too much of a nightmare.

When looking at each other, Green could not find a trace of surprise, and he could probably guess what the other person was thinking: observe, understand, and then apply, what's wrong with that?

At first, this was very much like a typical academic fallacy, bringing theoretical things into practice.

But he couldn't even describe exactly what he understood, but he was sure that the understanding made everything reliable.

In his mind, the cause and effect were very clear, but he couldn't explain it clearly to the ordinary people around him, these church stubborn people; in his hands, tearing a "line" was as normal as another sword swing.

Green was horrified.

When no one knew, the lake sent a "person" who was approaching those creatures from thinking to strength to the boat.

"You've been looking up."

The boat sailed into the reefs. It was different from the previous landing. This place was not a shallow water area around the giant pillar. The shape of the rocks was also different. It was tilted toward the outer circle. It was also taller and more rugged, piercing the water like bone spurs.

The turbulent lake water intersected and collided around them, hitting and pulling the hull. The monks who had recovered their strength raised four oars at the same time to fight against the force that threw them to the rock protrusion.

The water level here was not deep, but it was very fast. You could see the gullies and bubbles at the bottom of the water, the vortex and siphons between the holes. It seemed that there was not a whole piece below, and a lot of broken rocks were piled up.

Compared to the severely bumpy hull, Kraft was obviously more concerned about the top. He retracted his gaze when he heard the question, "Yes, I'm looking at those 'stars'."

"Is there anything special?" Brother Wadin was a little curious, or he was very curious about Kraft as a whole.

With the idea that "since Green didn't say anything, the problem is probably not big", he took the initiative to talk to Kraft.

In fact, he didn't quite understand why his partner seemed to have figured out something and suddenly became silent. At least he was quite interested in that strange power, even if it was not so in line with the doctrine.

Whether they were enemies or friends in the future, it was always right to get close to each other while the relationship was good.

"It looks far away."

"Not as far as you think. As long as the 'stars' are willing, they can fall on our heads within three breaths." Kraft changed his position and moved closer to the side of the ship, which was easier to observe. He used a thick rope to wrap around his hands twice to prevent being thrown out. "But fortunately, they have not been observed to move so far."

"Say less, we are ready to go ashore." Green always felt that every word was like an ominous prophecy.

The underwater rocks quickly rose to a height close to the water surface, and the vague arrowhead scraped against the hard surface, and the half-inserted arrow shaft on the bottom of the boat trembled and transmitted a crisp sound of breaking.

The bottom of the boat ran aground on the stone beach that repeatedly sucked and gushed out water, like stopping on a blocked air hole.

There were many steep rocks tilting outwards, with some regular niches on the surface, which were obviously artificial traces. There was no way to know what had been placed inside, probably hollowed out by the rising and falling lake water.

Kraft stepped out of the boat a little weakly, stumbled on the stone beach, and landed on his hands. Water gushed out from the cracks in the rocks, licked the fingers, flowed over the back of his hands, and held his palms in reverse, and his skin tasted a bit unusual.

A piece of "gravel" floated up and approached the palm that was scratched and bleeding. It was almost unnoticed among the same kind on the ground.

Just almost. Kraft immediately turned over and dodged, pulling up the scabbard and hitting it a few steps away. Under the stone skin that was knocked open, a dark and pale color was revealed.

Before taking the next step, the thing used the soft body below to turn over the gravel and drilled deeper into the stone beach.

As if frightened, after a rustling sound, several similar "gravels" disappeared from their sight.

"I have to say, the ecology of this place is pretty good." The cold joke to ease the atmosphere was not very successful. God knows how many Dunling special water snails are lurking on the rocky beach.

"The good news is that we must have come to the right place. Be careful."

These dangerous little things did not blend into the lakebed, but gathered here. There must be a reason.

"Do you mind if I take some samples back later? The two last time may not be enough."

"As long as you can get back, you can put together a tank." Green looked around vigilantly, looking for other bigger things hidden in the fog. Experience shows that they are not too far away from each other.

They walked along the coast for a while, knocking the ground with their scabbards as they walked, like hunters in the mountains using their walking sticks to scare away hibernating snakes in advance.

No larger and moving things were found. But at the end of the sight, under the reefs near the water, there seemed to be something with a long, streamlined outline, one end lying in the water, and the other end smashed on the reef during the rough landing process.
