Chapter 73: A Trip to the Forbidden Forest I

Hagrid didn't pay attention to what the two said.

His dislike for Slytherin was clearly shown on his face, and he only had to say "Slytherins are not good people".

Professor Lance helplessly shrugged at Noah. Seeing that Noah had no special expression or any anger, he didn't say anything more.

"You're going to the Forbidden Forest, right? You'd better be careful," Hagrid said in a buzzing voice, "You'd better follow me closely."

He returned to the cabin, walked out with two kerosene lamps, and handed them to Lance.

Lance lit one and handed it to Noah: "He's right, the Forbidden Forest at night is a bit dangerous, remember to follow us closely."

Noah nodded: "Okay, Professor Lance."

Handing the two of them to Hagrid, Professor Kettleburn nodded with satisfaction: "You go ahead, before it's too late."

After a little preparation, Hagrid took his little pink umbrella and led Professor Lance and Noah into the Forbidden Forest.

Generally speaking, if students in solitary confinement are punished to come to the Forbidden Forest, they can at most just walk around the perimeter of the Forbidden Forest.

But Noah is different tonight. He will go deeper than ordinary students, but for now, Professor Lance is not going to tell him this.

Noah didn't mention it, let alone ask why the content of the confinement suddenly changed to the Forbidden Forest.

As for the so-called early liberation, if he could, he would still like to follow Professor Snape. Although it is a bit hard on his ears, he can sit in on the senior courses. Who would refuse this temptation.

But as he said to Professor Snape, he is a Slytherin, and Slytherin is the best at judging the situation. Although it may be a little more dangerous, Noah doesn't mind making this choice if it can be done once and for all.

The Forbidden Forest seems dark during the day, but at night it's so dark that you can't even see.

The three of them were walking in the dark forest with small lanterns. The ground here was a bit soft and rugged, and there were very few flat paths to walk on.

But fortunately, Hagrid, who was leading the way, was very familiar with this kind of thing. His huge body carrying a lantern and heavy footsteps drove away the small animals around him, which made their progress a lot easier.

The only thing Noah needs to pay attention to right now are the trees and bushes around him.

The slender and lush branches are somewhat difficult to detect in the dark. If you are not careful, you may be scratched on your clothes or exposed skin. There may be some stones or holes hidden in the bushes, and you may trip on them if you are not careful.

One kick.

This road is really difficult to walk.

After stumbling, Noah silently supported a tree next to him, stared at his feet, and honestly turned on the detection magic.

There was a slight light in his eyes, and he raised the kerosene lamp slightly, using the slightly dim light to cover up the obvious light in the darkness.

The two people in front of him were completely unaware of it. Professor Lance held his sleeves and paid close attention to the movements around him, but was completely unaware of Noah's movements behind him.

Keya quietly poked out a small head from Noah's collar. Just as he was about to poke out more, Noah pushed him back directly.

The wind blew some tiny sounds, which sounded like the rustling of some creature quickly moving between the blades of grass.

Noah turned around subconsciously and saw a lizard crawling out from between the leaves of a tree, lying on the trunk and staring at them quietly.

It was a bright green lizard that was 10 inches long. It should be a magical creature called a "shape-shifting lizard". This lizard could shrink its body at will and was a very popular magical creature among wizards.

Of course, the reason for its popularity is that the wallet made of this little guy's leather can shrink when a stranger approaches, preventing the wallet from being stolen.

The deformed lizard quickly climbed behind the tree again. It seems that their footsteps disturbed the little guy's dream, causing it to have to move to a safer place.

Noah withdrew his gaze and continued to follow the two of them.

Hagrid said nothing along the way, and Professor Lance was always alert to everything around him, so the atmosphere seemed extremely dull.

Noah didn't think anything was wrong, but Keya couldn't rest.

It was ready to move and poked its head out from under Noah's sleeve, crawled along his palm, put its head between his fingers, and curiously explored everything around it.

There are many magical creatures here, even in the periphery, there are many animals that Keya has never seen before, so Keya was very excited and even suggested that Noah sneak away quietly and they explore the place by themselves.

This big-hearted snake never considered whether his master was safe here, or he had so little knowledge that he didn't even notice Noah's faint look.

They walked for a long distance and then suddenly stopped.

It was Hagrid who was at the front and stopped: "Oh, why is this little guy here?"

"What's wrong, Hagrid?" Professor Lance tensed up. After noticing Hagrid stopped, he subconsciously took a few steps to his side and saw clearly what made him stop.

Noah also curiously moved a little to the side to see clearly what it was.

It is a magical creature, to be precise, it is the cub of a horned beast.

This little guy is about 1.5 meters tall, with a grayish-purple color all over his body, a bulging back, and two short little horns protruding from his head.

An adult horned beast can be up to two meters tall, but this one is obviously just a cub.

Although horned animals are aggressive by nature, they are quite protective of their cubs, and it is almost rare to see such lone cubs.

At this moment, seeing Hagrid, who was even bigger than it, the horned camel cub was quite scared, but its fear was expressed by lowering its head and pointing its horns at the three people opposite it.

"Hey, little guy, don't be afraid, don't be afraid..." Hagrid slowed down his voice and tried to comfort the little guy, "We won't hurt you."

He raised his hands slightly: "Why are you here? Where is your mother?"

Noah subconsciously looked around, but could not find any huge figure that looked like an adult horned camel.

The Koa in his hand stretched out more of its body, stretching its neck to get a good look at what the horned camel looked like.

Lance didn't care about this magical animal cub. He looked around and frowned: "Hagrid, we'd better not..."

"Professor Lance, there is a horned cub here. We can't leave it alone. This area is not a place where horned animals come." Hagrid didn't even look back and continued to try to get closer to the cub.

As an Auror, Professor Lance was instinctively wary of magical creatures. When he was still in office, he dealt with many incidents of magical creatures hurting people every year, although they were all eventually transferred to the Department for the Management and Control of Magical Creatures.

But this was enough to make him wary of every dangerous magical creature, and the aggressive horned beast happened to be among them.

At this moment, Professor Lance doesn't want to get close to this cub at all. Don't forget that there is also a "cub" in their team.
