Chapter 202: Fellowship of the Ring, Boromir
“What a spectacle!”
Boromir looked at the majestic Gate of Justice with a hint of longing in his eyes.
The Gate of Justice was built by the first King of Gondor, and it symbolizes peace in Middle-earth.
Everyone else also raised their heads and looked at the towering statues on both sides of the Gate of Justice, showing expressions of wonder.
Among them, Aragorn felt the most deeply, and the Gate of Justice symbolized the glory of the Gondor royal family.
In silence, the team passed through the Gate of Justice.
Half a day later, the Ring Guard team came to an underwater cave. The dim light made it difficult for everyone to see the surrounding scene clearly.
"What is that?" Boromir pointed to the back and asked Aragorn.
In a corner, Gulu was holding a small branch and floating in the water. A pair of big eyes reflected a pale green light, and the greed in his eyes became more and more serious.
"A lost soul." Aragorn saw the trembling snore in the water, and he said indifferently: "Don't worry about him..."
"He will expose our whereabouts." Boromir said, about to draw his sword.
Aragorn heard about Hulu from the wizard. He held Boromir's hand and shook his head gently: "Now is not the time to deal with him. The Kalos Falls are just ahead."
Aragorn still remembered that Celeborn told him that there were orcs ambushing him near the Anduin River.
The team continued to move forward, and finally before dark, the Fellowship team arrived at Carlos Falls.
"Hide the ship." Aragorn jumped ashore and said to everyone: "The road ahead will be more difficult, and we must be more cautious."
After everyone took care of the footprints, Aragorn found a cave where everyone rested.
"Frodo, eat something!" Sam came to Frodo with a bunch of sausages.
"I'm not hungry..." Frodo shook his head.
"But you haven't eaten anything." Sam looked at Frodo, who looked uncomfortable, and said, "I promised Gandalf and Abel to take good care of you."
"No, you can't." Frodo stared at Sam and said, "You can't help me with this, Sam~ go to sleep!"
The closer to Mordor, the more powerful the power of the Lord of the Rings. At this time, Frodo gradually felt what Galadriel said to him: The Lord of the Rings has chosen you, and you can only travel alone.
"We should go to the White City, where we can regroup and launch a fatal blow against Mordor." Boromir said to Aragorn beside him.
"It's no use returning to Gondor." Aragorn shook his head.
Celeborn has already planned a route for everyone, and Aragorn doesn't want to change it easily.
"You believe in the elves so much, but you have no confidence in your own people?" Boromir asked angrily.
"Yes, humans are greedy and fragile..." Aragorn thought of his grandfather Isildur. Because of his greed, the Supreme Lord of the Rings was passed down.
"But humans still have courage and dignity." Boromir shouted: "Can't you see these?"
Feeling that Boromir was no longer able to communicate, Aragorn turned around and covered his face with his clothes.
"You are scared!" Boromir turned Aragorn over who was about to sleep, stared into his eyes and said, "You have been avoiding him your whole life, afraid of facing your identity."
"I will never let the Lord of the Rings come close to your city. You can't stop the temptation of the Lord of the Rings. I can't believe you~" A ball of fire also rose in Aragorn's heart, and he made it clear.
The other members of the Fellowship of the Ring listened to the conversation between the two and fell into deep thought.
When Boromir heard Aragorn's ruthless questioning, his face showed a disappointed expression, and his hands lost strength. He could only watch Aragorn turn around again and use his clothes to block the communication between the two.
One night passed, and when everyone was preparing to set off again, they found that Frodo had disappeared.
Aragorn looked around and saw that Boromir was no longer there either.
"I'll go find them~" Aragorn said and ran towards the forest.
Frodo thought for a night and felt that Galadriel was right when he said that the Ring would pull his companions into the abyss one by one.
So, Frodo found a quiet place and considered whether he should go on the road alone to complete his mission of destroying the Ring.
"Why are you here?" While Frodo was thinking, Boromir's voice suddenly appeared in his ears.
"I want to be alone." Frodo took a few steps back, wary of Boromir.
"I know why you want to be alone." Boromir said as he walked towards Frodo: "You are in pain, I see you suffering every day...
Do you need to torture yourself like this?"
"We have other ways, Frodo~" Boromir walked to Frodo and wanted to touch his head.
"I know what you are going to say." Frodo avoided the other person's touch and said seriously: "If I hadn't been warned, maybe I would have believed you."
"Warning? What warning!" Boromir chased Frodo: "We are all afraid, but don't you think it is ridiculous to allow fear to destroy the hope in our hearts?
You need my help."
Boromir was questioned by Aragorn yesterday, and now he was said so by Frodo, with a painful expression on his face.
"I have my own way." Frodo looked at Boromir and shook his head, his eyes still full of vigilance.
"I just want the power to protect my people~" Boromir suddenly shouted with a ferocious face: "Lend me the Lord of the Rings!"
"No~" Seeing Boromir's change, Frodo looked behind him, always ready to escape.
"I'm not a robber, you can trust me." Boromir controlled his anger and walked towards Frodo.
"You have lost your mind..." Frodo shook his head.
"Do you think you can destroy the Ring?" Boromir tried to persuade Frodo: "They will find you and take the Ring away. At that time, you can only survive and not die~"
Gradually, a trace of blackness appeared on Boromir's face.
Frodo turned and walked away without saying a word.
"You idiot~"
As Boromir chased Frodo, he cursed: "The Ring fell into your hands by chance. It should have belonged to me.
It's mine... it's mine..."
Frodo was frightened by Boromir's crazy look. He walked faster and faster, and finally started running.
"It's mine!"
Boromir's eyes were filled with greedy green light, and he threw Frodo down in one fell swoop.
Just when he was about to grab the One Ring, Frodo put it on at the critical moment and disappeared in front of Boromir.
Boromir looked at the empty ground and shouted: "It should not belong to you, give the Ring to Sauron! You will betray us!!
You are seeking your own destruction, and you will harm us~"
"I curse you, I curse all halflings~" In a frantic vent, Boromir rolled down the hillside because of his excessive movements.
This fall awakened Boromir.
He looked around blankly and murmured with great regret: "What have I done... I'm sorry... Frodo... Frodo..."
