Let You Popularize Hypnosis, Do You Shoot Inception?

Chapter 57 The Chase Feast In The Snowy Mountains Of Canada

12 midnight.

Qin Feng completed all the shooting and production of "Inception" in Paris.

So far, the film's six major filming locations around the world have completed the production of two major filming locations.

And at this moment, Girard also brought him a piece of good news.

That is the Snow Mountain Castle on the Canadian side, all of which have been built.

Everything is ready, just waiting for Qin Feng to go to the real shot!

In order to speed up the shooting progress of "Inception", Qin Feng went back to the hotel early to go to bed after finishing everything.

Because tomorrow he has to rush to Canada to shoot a scene in Banff Snow Mountain Park.

At eight o'clock the next morning, all the crew members got up early.

Afterwards, we departed from the hotel and took the bus to the airport.

Once at the airport, board a Warner Bros. private jet for Canada!

At one o'clock in the afternoon, the plane arrived at Calgary Airport in Canada on time.

The entire crew didn't take any more breaks, but went straight to their filming location, Banff National Park!

After receiving the order to start shooting at the location of Fort Mountain, the entire Canadian crew began to build the foundation of the multi-layered structure.

The severe cold climate brought unprecedented challenges to the work of the crew, and the paint used froze as soon as it left the paint can.

But in order to complete the task given by Qin Feng, he could only find a way to build another small sloping roof house.

This covers a certain part of the structure for warmth, and the color of the paint is applied.

Paint this section, then move the cabin to the next section, paint and keep warm, done little by little.

Due to local climatic conditions, conventional construction vehicles cannot be used.

Without the help of heavy machinery, the crew built the set structure almost entirely by hand.

After the infrastructure was completed, the fort looked imposing, but no concrete was used at all.

In its place is raw, unprocessed red pine, which preserves the environment as much as possible without causing any serious damage.

In the movie, Cobb tricks Fisher into joining his team in the hotel, and joins them in the third dream.

A heavily guarded fortress hospital in the cold Alps.

Cobb designed this site as a hospital.

It was because Fisher needed to relive the moment when his father died.

Combining this element, with the idea that the place must be highly secure, recreates the architecture that Fisher subconsciously used to protect his innermost secrets.

Not long after, Qin Feng came to Snow Mountain.

Qin Feng couldn't help but be shocked when he saw the Snow Mountain Castle built by the staff in two days and two nights.

If the perfect score is 100, then he can give the castle 99 points.

Basically, according to his request, the original appearance of the castle in "Inception" in the earth period was restored.

Now that the set is set up, the only thing left is the east wind.

The day before Qin Feng sent his team to Canada to shoot a scene with heavy snowfall.

He was told that there was no sign of snowfall. In order to meet the heavy snow required by the plot, Qin Feng prepared emergency measures.

At the critical moment, there will be an artificial snowfall.

But in any case, the natural thing is always the best choice.

In the end, God answered his prayers, and an hour after he arrived at the snow-capped mountain, it snowed!

Qin Feng felt that he was still very lucky.

The action sequences filmed in Calgary were almost entirely done on skis.

This means that the actors have to learn, no matter what, how to deal with the action of sliding down a hill.

The skiing actors on the Warners stunt team are all highly skilled, including two thrilling action skiers.

There's also a guy named Ian, who's a professional thrill-skiing action expert who's done glacier bounce hundreds of times, and it's incredible.

"The most interesting thing about being an actor is that we have the opportunity to experience things that we have never felt in our lives.

And this is exactly the same sentiment as the audience.

As a crew, we have gone through a vast journey one after another, constantly discovering surprises along the way.

I think this is also what the audience will feel when they watch the movie after the movie is released.

Infinite impossibility appears around you, never knowing what is about to happen. "

At this time, Leonardo, who had already changed his clothes, put on a white snow suit and wore black protective goggles, looked up at the snow-capped mountains and let out a sigh.

Regarding this scene, Qin Feng made comprehensive use of live photography and digital textures for the complex wide shots.

As well as a 1/6 scale miniature model built in the NewDeal studio, a digital painting was generated.

Use the aerial device to ascend and photograph the area around the set.

The current wind is strong and the ascent is very bumpy, but Qin Feng still captured a series of panoramic widescreen aerial shots.

Shot tracking was then done, the landscape was reconstructed using photogrammetry, a very detailed CG fortress was built, and the massive structure was laid on top of the hill.

In the film, in the second-level dream, the truck broke through the safety railings of the bridge, triggering an avalanche halfway up the mountainside around the fortress hospital, chasing two of Cobb's teammates on the cliff.

In order to make the avalanche effect, Qin Feng studied digital avalanche simulation technology.

But the snow at the scene allowed Qin Feng to actually shoot such an effect.

Then, with the help of professional snow resort staff, Qin Feng specially cleared the dangerous snow in the ski resort.

Get ready to create a real avalanche!

But making an avalanche requires a lot of explosives, and then throwing them on top of the mountain.

The avalanche season usually doesn't start until January, so Qin Feng is very lucky to have such a large amount of snow at this time.

Qin Feng then took 18 panoramic shots of avalanches, and then selected some of the best shots.

Finally, the shot of the stuntman rolling down from a high cliff edge was also composited into the shot of the avalanche.

In the film, Cobb needs to detonate the explosives around the fortress hospital in the third floor dream.

Warner's special effects team implemented such an explosion effect on site.

In the wide shot of the destruction of the fortress, the micro-model set by Qin Feng played a big role.

And it's one of the most expensive expenses Warner has ever made.

The miniatures are 45 feet tall and built on a stack of 10-foot shipping containers.

To curate the construction of the model, Qin Feng used a digital general preview of the building, drawing possible camera angles.

Qin Feng led the construction of the micro-models, mainly the conical main tower of the fortress, which was built as a four-sided structure with detailed details on all surfaces.

Also set up is the level main building above, and two semi-finished sides.

This way, the front three-quarter camera angle allows you to capture details on either side.

Warner Photography provided still photography of the scene, which guided the construction of this miniature with a perimeter of 40 by 50 feet.

To film the collapse of the fortress hospital, Qin Feng designed a built-in, hydraulic scissor jack-like mechanism that supports the tower and the front of the main building.

He wanted the tower to be structurally connected to other buildings so that when it collapsed it would bring the other buildings down with it.

When watching the visual preview with Girard, Qin Feng also carefully designed the time interval of the explosion.

Figured out how many frames it would take for the building to collapse, followed by programming the built-in hydraulics to destroy the main building.

Steel shuttles on scissor jacks were then attached to each wall, and cables were used to hold the shuttles together.

There are ten walls on each floor, for a total of six floors, so 60 cables are required.

Attach the cable to the hydraulic piston, a control that can be pulled back.

Incorporating different points in different parts of the cable allows the floors to drop randomly and in layers.

Qin Feng also covered the outside of the building with a specially made material to replicate the surface texture of 1/6 scale concrete.

Prefabricated panels were constructed by spraying high-strength gypsum cement onto the moulds, with polyurethane foam as a backdrop.

Model builders cut the breaklines in advance, fitting the models with tiny railings, windows, doors, and surface finishes.

And that brought the final building weight closer to 7,000 pounds.

Before filming officially started, Qin Feng sprinkled the set with the spray-like fake snow usually used on Christmas trees, as well as a 2,200-pound can of salt.

Then let the pyrotechnician start creating the explosion.

Ignition does not inherently cause an explosion, the support tubes are all man-made, made of foam, gypsum, and the interior is a hollow space.

The blasting wire is assembled first, then filled with pyrotechnic powder, and colorant that produces a bright flame.

The powder is ignited three milliseconds before the blasting wire is ignited, so that the flame begins to spread inside the column, then the blasting wire is ignited and the flame erupts.

The entire explosion process was electronically timed, accurate to the millisecond, and all the pillars were continuously detonated until the main structure collapsed!

At Qin Feng's request, the crew captured the model from all angles before it exploded, as a shot to describe the scene throughout the film.

For the broken shots, Qin Feng set up five cameras around the scene, and the operators hid in explosion-proof boxes to operate.

Also on a 100-foot-tall construction crane roof platform, a camera crew manipulated a 30-foot shot of a simulated helicopter vista.

With a loud bang, the explosion began.

Five seconds later, Qin Feng, who was sitting in the director's chair watching the effect in front of the screen, stood up suddenly and shouted a click.

All in all, perfect simply couldn't be more perfect.

The other crew members also applauded.

So far, all the shots of the Canadian Snow Mountains have been shot.

Qin Feng couldn't help taking a deep breath and applauded with the crew.

Because he is one step closer to the film "Inception", which cost 200 million US dollars to create!

(ps: Brothers, I beg for flowers to break 8,000! I beg for evaluation to break 700! I beg for all kinds of data support!)
