A new batch of quarter horses arrived at the ranch, transported by horse dealers in livestock wagons.

David and the horse dealer were fist-bumping each other. They were old acquaintances of his. They had worked as cowboys together on other ranches, and later David continued to work as cowboys.

The horse trotted forward obediently, pulled the reins, and began to stop.

This batch of horses is considered to have been trained until David arranges for people to trim their hooves and shoe them.
