Lonely Immortal

Chapter 37 Eight Small Spells

The book "Five Elements Basic Magic" is divided into general introduction, five elements chapter and derivative chapter. The general introduction roughly says that the essence of this world is composed of five elements. These five elements are gold, wood, water, fire and earth. They are mutually generated and restrained, and they are mutually causal, so they produce a kind of qi, and this qi is divided into yin and yang. Mutual generation is yang, and mutual restraint is yin. When yin and yang are balanced, the heaven and the earth are formed, and then all things are born.

Therefore, all things have vitality, and this vitality rises as yang and sinks as yin, filling the heaven and the earth, which is endless and cyclical.

Then the cultivation of immortals is to seize the vitality between the heaven and the earth and turn it into one's own use. Therefore, it is an act against the will of heaven. It is naturally difficult to damage the surplus without making up for the deficiency. Therefore, it is impossible for those who are not spiritual roots to cultivate immortals.

The so-called spiritual roots mean that the cultivators must have spirituality, imitate the laws of heaven and earth, and cast the furnace of heaven and earth in the flesh. Only in this way can they seize the vitality between heaven and earth, and the spiritual roots are innate, which varies according to time, place and person.

Simply put, a person with spiritual roots is like a small world, which can contain and absorb the vitality of heaven and earth. Otherwise, if the vitality is taken away, it will dissipate between heaven and earth again, which is like drawing water with a bamboo basket.

Then spiritual roots must also be divided into high and low, just like drawing water with a bamboo basket. Some bamboo baskets have small holes and can hold a lot, so they can capture more vitality of heaven and earth and keep it stable. Some are full of holes. The more vitality of heaven and earth they capture, the more they leak, and only one in a hundred can be used for their own benefit.

Then there are five main types of spiritual roots. First, those without wisdom roots are ordinary people, that is, they have no chance to become immortals and are lost in the world.

Second, those with ordinary roots are mostly mixed roots, and their foundations are weak and full of holes. The road to cultivating immortals is difficult and bumpy, and it is difficult for them to cultivate immortals. Even if they persist in hardship, they will only waste time. In the end, it is very likely that their souls will be completely destroyed and they will not be reborn. It is almost a life-and-death struggle.

Third, spiritual roots are mostly single spiritual roots, and the foundation is solid. There is a chance to survive in the immortal way and achieve great success. It is a rare opportunity in the world.

Fourth, immortal roots are multi-spiritual roots, and even all five spiritual roots are complete. They are multiplying and changing, and there is no flaw in a hundred secrets. They are familiar with the past and the present, and are created by heaven and earth. They are blessed by heaven and earth. It is rare to see one or two in the world.

Finally, there is the legendary heavenly spiritual root.

Heavenly spiritual roots are born in heaven and earth, and die in heaven and earth. They are immortal, do not enter reincarnation, do not go to the immortal platform, wander outside the three realms, and do not exist in the five elements. They are vast and cannot be called.

After reading this, Zhang Zhiwen roughly understood it, because from the difference in spiritual roots, it can be seen why so many people in the Changsheng Sutra cannot cultivate successfully, because too many people are without wisdom roots, and he succeeded in cultivation by chance, but he doesn't know what kind of spiritual roots he is. He feels that he is most likely a mortal root, because his cultivation speed is extremely slow, at most he is just a little wisdom root.

However, Zhang Zhiwen feels that the five so-called spiritual roots are a bit complicated. In fact, it can be summed up as nothing more than the difference between mortal spiritual roots, immortal spiritual roots and heavenly spiritual roots. The book also sums it up in this way, just to let readers understand the difference between spiritual roots more clearly.

Among the three types of spiritual roots, they are divided into four categories: low-grade, medium-grade, high-grade and top-grade, and mortal spiritual roots occupy the vast majority. Zhang Zhiwen feels that he is probably the worst low-grade mortal spiritual root, because those who are slightly better should not cultivate so slowly.

Of course, it is very simple to judge whether it is a low-grade ordinary spiritual root, a medium-grade ordinary spiritual root, or even a high-grade ordinary spiritual root. You can know the situation by learning the five elements magic.

Because all ordinary spiritual roots of the middle grade and above are basically few spiritual roots, such as only gold spiritual roots, water spiritual roots, etc. The fewer spiritual root attributes, the better, of course, unless it is a fairy spiritual root, but Zhang Zhiwen definitely does not think he is a fairy spiritual root. If he has a fairy spiritual root at this speed of cultivation, then the fairy spiritual root is too careless.

The general introduction is about this, Zhang Zhiwen continued to read on, and the next is the five elements magic chapter. Gold, wood, water, fire, and earth all have a basic spell, which are fireball, water shield, wood thorn, earth wall, and gold arrow!

Zhang Zhiwen began to practice these basic spells, and he tried fireball first.

He circulated his spiritual power, and according to the requirements of the formula, he sensed the spiritual energy of heaven and earth, looking for the source of heat, and made the spiritual power in his body resonate. Then, with a bang, as if the sea of qi was ignited, the spiritual power instantly turned into flames. Zhang Zhiwen quickly guided the flames into the meridians, and then emerged from his fingertips.

Looking at the bean-sized flames on his fingertips, Zhang Zhiwen was a little at a loss. Isn't this fireball too small?

But this was the fireball he could release with all his strength. The spiritual power in his body was dissipating very quickly. He estimated that he could only maintain it for less than ten breaths. He quickly threw the small fireball out.

The small fireball was extremely fast. With a whoosh, it hit the wall on one side. With a bang, Zhang Zhiwen was hit by the mud on the wall. He saw that a deep pit of one foot in radius was smashed on the wall. He was stunned.

This small fireball was so powerful? This was something Zhang Zhiwen never expected. If this hits a person, wouldn't it be able to blow a living person into pieces in an instant?

Zhang Zhiwen was quite happy in his heart. The immortal magic is indeed the immortal magic! And now he can be sure that he has the fire spirit root.

Okay, then continue to practice the next one.

Zhang Zhiwen continued to practice, and the next step was the water shield technique. He still meditated according to the requirements of the formula. Soon, the spiritual power in his body resonated and instantly turned into water spiritual power and rushed out. Not long after, a blue water shield was formed outside the body. This shield looked very thin, almost fragile, but the spiritual power consumption was extremely amazing. Seeing that the spiritual power was running out, Zhang Zhiwen hurriedly put away the spell, and he didn't even have time to test how strong the defense was.

The spiritual power was exhausted, and he felt a little drowsy. He hurriedly meditated to recover. He was very emotional in his heart. He had just released two small spells, and his spiritual power was not enough. After all, his cultivation was too low.

Afterwards, after a full day and night of recovery, he finally recovered his spiritual power. He knew that if he encountered an enemy or something, he could only release two spells. If he couldn't deal with the opponent, he could only run away, so he would not release spells randomly unless it was absolutely necessary.

But he also knew that he also had water spiritual roots, and then he began to try the wood thorn technique.

This wood thorn technique was the same as the fireball technique, and a small wooden thorn appeared. This wooden thorn was only the size of a bean, but it was very powerful. When the wooden thorn pierced into the wall, it did not explode immediately, but produced a green poisonous mist, which spread and infected a six-foot square area.

It seems that this wood thorn technique is a kind of poisonous thorn. Once hit, I am afraid that I will be poisoned to death.

At the same time, Zhang Zhiwen also knew that he also had wood spiritual roots. It seems that the fate of mixed roots is doomed, but Zhang Zhiwen has been mentally prepared.

So, he continued with the next spell, which was the Earth Wall Spell. As soon as the Earth Wall Spell was released, Zhang Zhiwen almost fainted on the spot because of the exhaustion of spiritual power. Although it was only a thin layer of earth wall less than an inch thick, this earth wall about six feet high directly drained all of Zhang Zhiwen's spiritual power, and it only lasted for less than a breath before it fell to the ground.

This spell was the same as the Water Shield Spell. Zhang Zhiwen couldn't figure out how powerful it was, but the spiritual power consumption was too great. Anyway, he would not try it unless it was absolutely necessary, otherwise it would be too dangerous when facing the enemy.

Afterwards, he could only meditate to restore his spiritual power. Another day and night passed, and his spiritual power was restored again. He continued with the next spell, which was the Golden Arrow Spell.

It is an attack spell as the name suggests. Zhang Zhiwen prefers to learn attack spells because they are cost-effective. Defense spells consume too much spiritual power. Attack spells seem to be better. If he goes all out, he can release three attack spells. With these three attack spells, he can more or less deter the enemy.

In this way, he quickly released the Golden Arrow Spell, which is very similar to the Fireball Spell. It also forms a bean-sized golden arrowhead at the fingertips. After the golden arrowhead is thrown out, it penetrates the wall and whistles outside. The wall is three feet thick, but it was penetrated. It seems that the Golden Arrow Spell does not have the effect of explosion, but the effect of penetration.

He didn't know whether the Golden Arrow Technique was sharper, or the Water Shield Technique or the Earth Wall Technique had stronger defense, but he felt that in the case of the same spell, even if the two were equal, the offensive spell was more powerful because it consumed less energy. He could only release two defensive spells at most, but he could release three offensive spells. If he had one more offensive spell, he could decide life and death!

In this way, he mastered five basic spells, and at the same time, he also knew that he was a mixed root, and the lowest-level inferior mortal spiritual root.

However, Zhang Zhiwen was not surprised. He was just an ordinary person. It was a blessing to have the opportunity to cultivate immortals.

After mastering the five basic spells, Zhang Zhiwen continued to practice. The next step was the derivative chapter, which was very simple. It mainly consisted of three series of spells, one was the Ice Arrow of the Ice Series, one was the Wind Blade Technique of the Wind Series, and the last one was the Palm Thunder of the Thunder Series!

The so-called three derived systems are derived from the fire system, water system and metal system in the five elements. The fire system derives wind, the water system derives ice, and the metal system derives thunder.

Ice arrows are similar to gold arrows, and they also generate bean-sized ice arrows, but they do not have a blasting effect or a piercing effect, but a slowing and freezing effect.

Wind blades have a cutting effect, and the hard rock is like a tofu block in front of it, and it is almost vulnerable.

Finally, there is palm thunder, which Zhang Zhiwen thinks is a bit useless. It forms a lightning in the palm of the hand to hit the target. The distance is very short and it can only be used for close combat, but the power is really strong. It has the combined effects of blasting, cutting and piercing, and also comes with a shock paralysis effect.

If this slap hits a person, that person will collapse on the spot. Even if the body can block it, the consciousness will definitely be knocked unconscious directly, and it obviously has the effect of hitting the bull from a distance, and it is quite sharp against defensive spells.

After a few days, Zhang Zhiwen mastered all eight small spells. Next, he opened the book "Bai Family Genealogy", and it was this book that gave him a preliminary glimpse into the tip of the iceberg of the world of immortal cultivation!
