What basic qualities are needed to cultivate immortality?

As long as you are lucky, nothing else matters.

If a person is lucky and is riding a donkey on the road and sees an ownerless cauldron cooking meat on the ground, and eats it and discovers that he has eaten ten thousand years of meat that someone else has worked so hard to collect, the donkey and the people can take it away on the spot. It's impossible to explain other people's immortality when they become immortals together.

Heaven's requirements for the moral level of immortal cultivators are very low. It would be good if they can be as good as Chen Haonan, the leader of Causeway Bay. Although Chen Haonan is a gangster, he never bullies the weak, does not hit women, and is loyal to his friends. He is very kind to prisoners, family members and lovers. Even if he is offended, he will at most kill the culprit.

Many sons of the side plane who cultivate immortals take the Eastern Star Crow as an example. They usually look like a slut, and they hate others even if they despise them. They think it is a great humiliation. They often kill the boss who leads them to get started. They must be attracted by the female immortal. To get it, the friends around you are all good boys, and they have to keep their word when they go out to fool around. If they say they will kill your whole family, they will kill your whole family.

What he wants is a person who is free and easy, covering the sky with one hand. Anyone who doesn't let him be free will not have clear thoughts. If his thoughts are not clear, he will kill his whole family.

People who practice Buddhism are in a lot of trouble. Just being sincere and selfless can screen out most children of the plane.

For example, a person who cultivates immortality has a very high-level saying: "Thousands of spells, all kinds of magical powers, I only ask one question, whether it can lead to immortality."

The Immortal Cultivator said it so awesomely that the Buddhist Cultivator probably looked at him with caring eyes and advised him: "The donor is obsessed with the phase. You are the longevity phase among the four phases that all sentient beings wrongly cling to." , to put it bluntly, I am just afraid of death, and I just follow my heart and feel proud."

Buddhism teaches that "life span is impermanent." Even if you are a deity who is born with great blessings and can go through countless calamities, you will eventually be unable to escape the five degenerations of deities and humans and fall into the six paths of reincarnation.

Even if you are an immortal Daluo Jinxian, even if you reach the life level of the same life as heaven and earth, you will not be able to withstand the sudden encounter with a bad guy who shouts to you, "Fellow Taoist, please stay."

Whether the army is defeated, whether the body dies or the soul disappears, or whether it is reluctant to go to the list of gods, countless changes may happen within thirty years. What is the use of hoping to live as long as the sky?

The Buddhist state of transcendence beyond life and death surpasses the immortal state of immortality.

Sincerity in practicing Buddhism is a very brain-burning logical concept. People who practice Buddhism cannot have personal pursuits. For example, they can do whatever they want to achieve. Once they have personal pursuits, they have obsessions. If you are obsessed with practice, you will not be able to make progress.

Immortal cultivators can smugly shout about "I want to be free", "I want to live forever", "I want to become stronger", "I want to transcend the other side", "I want to defy the heavens"... If you want this or that, what kind of bicycle do you want?

Little do they know that in the eyes of Buddhist practitioners, these thoughts are all foolishness and self-grasping. Practicing with these thoughts is a manifestation of stubbornness. They are no different from ordinary people. The farther away you are from the other side in practice, you need to care for the disabled. Eyes.

Cultivating Buddhism is so troublesome, but Luo Feng must use it as a way to gain strength. In fact, he has set a goal for himself, at least to obtain the Arahant status of the Sravakayana Dzogchen or the Paccekabuddha status of the Pratyekabuddha Dzogchen Dzogchen. Bit.

But to achieve this goal, there must be no ego. The purpose of achieving this goal is not to do what you can do, but to save the common people, eliminate disasters, overcome demons, and awaken the world.

The Three Vehicles of Buddhism are divided into Shravakayana, Pratyekabuddha, and Bodhisattvayana. Among them, Shravakayana is Hinayana Buddhism, Pratyekabuddha is Middle Vehicle Buddhism, and Bodhisattvayana is Mahayana Buddhism.

The Shravakayana is a path of practice that involves directly listening to the teachings of the Buddha, meditating on and realizing the Four Noble Truths of the Cause and Cessation of Suffering and attaining enlightenment. Monks basically follow this path.

Pratyekabuddha is a path of practice that leads to enlightenment by observing the twelve causes and conditions and other Dharma principles alone without hearing the teachings of the Buddha.

The Bodhisattva Vehicle uses the Six Perfections of Compassion and Wisdom as a vehicle to carry all living beings across the three realms and three vehicles to the shore of the supreme Bodhi Mahaparinibbana. It is like crossing the sea on a ship, so it is called the Bodhisattva Vehicle.

The state of Arhat and Pratyekabuddha are the highest states of Hinayana and Middle Vehicle Buddhism, but they are only liberation and have not reached the other shore and are not yet complete.

According to the teachings of Mahayana Buddhism, it is believed that all practitioners will eventually become Buddhas. The enlightenment of Paccekabuddhas and Arhats is not yet complete, so as long as they continue to practice Bodhisattva practice, they will eventually become fully enlightened Buddhas.

Luo Feng had not thought that far before he started practicing on the side of Xianxia. He had just taken the first step in his journey of thousands of miles. He had not yet transcended the world, so he should not think about the problem of transporting sentient beings to the other side.

Furthermore, it is not yet known whether he will become a demon or a Buddha in the future, and whether he will go to another world of freedom or the land of bliss is still uncertain. If you make a great wish to become a Buddha early, it is easy to slap yourself in the face.

Once you achieve the status of Arhat, you can compete with the immortals. In the world of Immortal Sword, where earthly immortals are the main power level, as long as you don't provoke the gods in the heavens, you can basically go sideways in the other five realms.

The Arahant status is the highest status of the Hinayana, but it is also very difficult to obtain. An Arahant has perfected the four wisdoms, has transcended the three realms, and has achieved Nirvana. There is nothing to learn.

Although Luo Feng has opened up the Alaya Consciousness, he only has an excellent foundation for practicing Buddhism. He has not already achieved enlightenment. His cultivation progress will be very fast, but the path to enlightenment is not high.

Without the accumulation of three lives, if you want to achieve fruition, you must practice step by step, but there is no such thing as putting down the sword and becoming a Buddha.

So the question is, as a newly minted lustful monk, how should he practice?

The first thing a practitioner should do is to arouse worldly bodhicitta, save boundless sentient beings for cultivation, and use the bodhicitta aroused to tame his own mind anytime and anywhere.

After you have made the intention, you must dedicate. Dedicating means using the merits you have cultivated to seek the goal of your wish. It means turning the merits, wisdom, good deeds, and good knowledge you have cultivated, not wanting to keep them to yourself, but turning them around. Go back and share it with all living beings in the Dharma Realm, so as to broaden your mind and make your merits have a clear direction and not be lost.

The more profound the Bodhicitta is, the more difficult it is to dedicate, and the more merit is required. If the goal of Bodhicitta is achieved, even if it is partially achieved, the practice will be more advanced.

Generating bodhicitta is an important starting point for Buddhist practice, and dedication is a very important practice skill in the process of Buddhist practice.

In addition to making dedications, practitioners must also practice the six perfections of Bodhisattva. The six perfections of Bodhisattva are generosity, precepts, patience, diligence, meditation, and prajna, so that they can reach the other shore step by step.

From a broad perspective, this is the way to practice Buddhism and Taoism. Of course, the details are quite complicated, so I won’t go into details.

From this point of view, compared with cultivating immortals, there are simply barriers between practicing Buddhism and Taoism. The more you practice, the more you will become unlovable, but it is not as refreshing as cultivating immortals. It is no wonder that the sons of the immortals side of the plane are unwilling to enter Buddhism.

But in fact, practice does not have to be too dogmatic. If you practice rigidly like Tang Monk, you can become a Buddha. If you beat a monkey with a stick all the way on the road to the West, wouldn't you also achieve the status of a Bodhisattva who can defeat the Buddha in battle?

As long as you can control the ape in your mind, rein in your horse in your mind, and create great merits for all sentient beings in the world, even a naughty monkey can achieve positive results.
