Chapter Thirteen: A Threesome Must Be Stupid
Harry and Ron are true Gryffindors, and the reckless impulse of the little lion is fully reflected in them.
Many times, both of them take it for granted when their minds are hot.
In contrast, although Hermione is also very impulsive, she can remain rational most of the time and is very good at finding weird things from the subtleties to lock in the target.
Although, under the influence of Harry and Ron, this goal always went astray.
But when it came to the trolls, Hermione was convinced that her answer was correct.
As the know-it-all girl who always occupied the top spot in the grade in the original book, Hermione was very sensitive about her grades, especially in the lower grades. Her strong character and self-esteem made it difficult for her to accept that she was inferior to others.
Therefore, when a person who was better than herself in Charms, Potions, Herbs, and Transfiguration appeared, Hermione's competitive spirit was completely ignited.
Just like Hermione never thought she was a genius, there was still a certain gap between her and real geniuses such as Bill Weasley, the eldest son of the Weasley family.
After all, in terms of grades alone, the twelve owls certificates are what Hermione failed to achieve.
For a long time, Hermione spent time and efforts to maintain her position as the number one Gryffindor.
It can be said that without Ike, Hermione would have been the number one in age as in the original timeline.
But now, she can only settle for second place.
He is also the first person Hermione met in the magical world. Their relationship has always been more than acquaintances and not yet friends. Most of the time, they just treat each other as companions who read and study in the library and rarely communicate with each other.
.
As a chaser, Hermione knew Ike better than he thought.
Suddenly, there was a loud sound of footsteps, and Professor McGonagall rushed in front of the three of them, followed closely by Snape and Quirrell. Quirrell glanced at the troll, let out a weak sob, and leaned against the wall.
He sat down and held his chest tightly.
Professor McGonagall was very angry, her face and lips were pale, and her right hand holding the wand was still shaking.
"What tricks are you doing!" Professor McGonagall yelled angrily, "This is a troll! A magical creature of the XXX level!"
"You are lucky that you were not killed by it! Why didn't you just stay in the dormitory!"
"Professor McGonagall, I..." Harry swore that the current Professor McGonagall was ten thousand times more terrifying than the hateful Professor Snape. Just as he was about to tell what had just happened, he heard a voice from the side.
"They are here to see me, Professor McGonagall."
Professor McGonagall looked at Hermione and heard Hermione say: "I read about trolls in books and thought I could deal with them. If it weren't for Harry and Ron, I think I would have died."
"They got me out of the toilet, Ron kept distracting the troll, Harry knocked it down with the troll's own club and Ron added some more."
"When they arrived, I was already cornered by the trolls, and they had no time to find anyone."
Professor McGonagall looked at Harry and Ron, who were looking at each other with confused faces. The two immediately nodded, indicating that everything was just as Hermione said.
"Oh...so that's it." Professor McGonagall muttered, "Miss Granger, because of your recklessness, Gryffindor has been deducted five points."
"Now, you should hurry back to Gryffindor Tower. Halloween dinners have been sent to various houses."
The three of them bowed to Professor McGonagall and turned to go back.
"Well...after all, few first-year wizards can defeat an adult troll. You each earned five points for Gryffindor. Besides, I will tell Professor Dumbledore about this, so let's go."
"
The three people left in a hurry and ran up the two buildings without saying a word. Only then did they feel that they could no longer smell the stench of the troll.
"Hermione, do you know who helped us?" Harry didn't mention the extra points. He didn't intend to be an honest child and expose Hermione's lies. As the smartest of the three, Hermione must have lied.
Her reasons.
"I guessed it."
"So you're not going to tell us?" Ron muttered, "We'll keep it a secret, you know, we're the best at it."
Harry and Hermione both looked at Ron with surprised eyes, full of disbelief.
Who in Gryffindor doesn't know that Ron Weasley is a loudspeaker? If he knows any secret, all Gryffindors will know it in just one night.
"Okay, okay, I know, I know." Ron's face was so angry that it was the same color as his hair, "Go back quickly, I'm already hungry."
With that said, he walked quickly towards Gryffindor Tower.
Harry and Hermione followed Ron, gradually pulling away from each other. Harry looked at Ron's back and asked in a low voice: "Hermione, is this Alvin from Ravenclaw?"
"After much thought, he is the only one who can easily defeat the giant monster and has something to do with us, or to be precise, you, who can come to save us."
Hermione looked at Harry in surprise. She didn't expect that Harry, who had always been as reckless as Ron, could actually learn to think!
"Yes, I guess it's him too." Hermione nodded, Harry had already guessed it, and she had no reason to deny Ike anymore.
"But just now, why didn't you say it?" Harry asked again.
"Harry." Hermione stopped after hearing this and looked at Harry, "Did you see Ike just now?"
"No." Harry shook his head.
"There is a kind of spell called the Disillusionment Curse, which can make a person invisible." Hermione continued walking, "I know that Ike has been practicing this spell recently, but I don't know if he has succeeded. After all, it is so ordinary.
It’s something I only started learning in seventh grade.”
"Obviously, he succeeded." Harry shrugged. He had no idea about the difficulty of the Disguise Curse, so naturally he couldn't understand the shock and helplessness in Hermione's tone.
"It's obvious." Hermione nodded. "He used the Disillusionment Charm to hide himself, and then left directly after saving us. He obviously has his own ideas."
"Harry, we can't reveal Ike's secret, especially after he just saved us."
"Okay, you convinced me, you can trust me to keep the secret." Harry tilted his head to look at Hermione and patted his chest, "I won't tell Ron."
"This is best." Hermione tossed her hair and ran towards Gryffindor Tower without waiting for Harry.
When they arrived in front of the Fat Lady's portrait, the door had been opened, and Ron was leaning against the door arguing with the Fat Lady.
"Believe me, they are right behind, coming soon!"
"Red-haired boy, get out of the way, it's been three minutes, I want to close the door!"
"No, no, no, please believe me, you just need to wait a little longer..." Ron suddenly heard a sound of footsteps, followed the sound and shouted quickly, "Harry! Hermione! Hurry!"
The Fat Lady is closing!”
The two hurriedly quickened their pace and ran into the archway with Ron.
"We know the password, Ron." Harry said breathlessly.
"Damn it!" Ron apparently just reacted and slapped his head in annoyance.
"I forgot!"
