Master Craftsman of the Pokemon World

Tomorrow at noon, this book will be available for purchase. However, since opening VIP chapters requires manual operation, I won't be able to schedule it with saved drafts, so it's unlikely to be updated precisely on time.
This book started with decent results, but due to my lack of skill and the competitiveness in December, it didn't get promoted to Sanjiang. After all, I'm the weakest Level 5 writer, often trampled by rising talents. In a xuanhuan novel, I'd be the kind of character who appears for two chapters, makes a cameo, and then becomes a background character at the same level.
This book originally had a lot of saved drafts, but I felt they weren't right, so I deleted them all. Now I don't have much left. It's like all the drafts I saved, deleted, and revised in the past month since the book started have been wasted.
I thought writing slice-of-life would be easier, but I always felt something was off. I kept doing useless work, deleting everything after writing it, which meant all my effort was for nothing. The more I wrote, the more I felt the original drafts were inadequate, with many parts not connecting and being too simplistic, so I deleted them all.
Indeed, it's not easy to write a simple and brilliant slice-of-life story. I'm also the kind of person who can dabble in everything but can't excel at anything.
This is also my first time writing a Pokémon fanfic. Speaking of which, I thought about trying it when I was writing *Classic of Mountains and Seas*, but then I got COVID and felt burnt out for a while after recovery. I felt like I couldn't write anymore, like I had brain fog and was in a daze. It wasn't until I started *Cthulhu* that I gradually recovered. After reading a few Pokémon fanfics and playing *Stardew Valley* for a while, I remembered this idea and started writing.
So, writing a Pokémon fanfic now is also a way to strengthen my control over the mid-to-late stages of a story and refresh my mind. *Classic of Mountains and Seas* was the book I controlled the best. *Cthulhu* went wild in the later stages, making my brain race, and I ended up with insomnia for over ten days, almost dying. As soon as I closed my eyes, I started seeing movies.
As you all know, I don't have any rules for my writing. I basically write whatever genre I want. If I have an idea, I feel suffocated if I don't write it down, so I might as well write it early and treat it as practice. So, this is probably one of the reasons why I'm the weakest Level 5 writer—I haven't spent a long time in the same genre, which leads to my writing being very diverse. In a cultivation novel, I'd definitely be the kind of person who practices too many different techniques, goes astray, suffers a major drop in cultivation, and then becomes a demon, becoming a supporting character who provides experience for the protagonist after a small plot.
I used to be able to write large-scale foreshadowing, but now it's basically impossible. I feel like I've regressed to an elementary school student. Sometimes when I look at my old drafts, I wonder, 'What the heck was I writing? What is this? What is that?' When group members ask me what a certain setting is about, I give a high-quality answer: 'I don't know.'
Maybe I'll find my old writing skills and techniques if I reincarnate with a new account.
New year, new start. I'll relearn how to write books from scratch, starting with this Pokémon fanfic. Tomorrow when it goes on sale, I'll update about ten chapters. This is the most I've ever updated for a release, and it's also my last saved draft! I'll be satisfied if the initial sales reach 1000+.
As for extra updates, with my habit of deleting two chapters for every chapter I write, spending five hours only to end up with negative one chapter, and noticing it's 11:59 PM, I really don't have the ability to do extra updates. I can only say I'll try my best!
So, this time, I'm really a newbie asking for subscriptions!
As for the Pokémon I'll capture, since I'm not a traditional trainer, I don't have to follow the six-Pokémon limit. But since this isn't a farming novel, I can't capture too many.
My initial plan is twelve, like Alder, traveling around with twelve Poké Balls hanging all over his body. Of course, this number can be increased, but adding new Pokémon will naturally reduce the screen time of the previous Pokémon, which is unavoidable.
As for item crafting, since I'm not a real craftsman in the Pokémon world, I can only omit some of the tool-making processes. If I really had that ability, I would have transmigrated already. And about Pokémon battles, sometimes they're written very dryly. I'll try to make them more interesting, but as a craftsman, there aren't many opportunities for battle. Like now, after writing so many chapters, there have only been two or three real battles.
So, here, I thank everyone for reading and supporting me. In the new year, I wish everyone all the best and may all your wishes come true!
