On the back of the speeding Abaddon YuJu opened his eyes, the tattoo representing Ellis stopping its glow as he did

"Already grasped our language I see, they must have had a skill to do so"

Using the new hidden trick learned through the tattoo he gained vision of Ellis's situation, one causing two things to react vehemently in response

'Pride is troublesome to deal with but I didn't think my class would be even more so'

The sin's anger was expected, but the true rage ran deeper than that, directly from within his soul, despite the calmness in his voice he felt like he would crash the place the second he arrived

'That would only put her in more danger, the last thing I want is giving them a reason to execute her'

Sound logic calmed both pride and his class giving his boiling blood room for a breathing

"This is far enough Abaddon, drop me here and be ready to come down on my signal"

"Guaaah!"

Abaddon roared in agreement, allowing its master to drop down while it waited at the top of the creek, not at all worried about being spotted since all the scouts were disposed of on the way, a good snack before its soon to be main course

In his cloaked mode YuJu ran across the valley's uneven wall, kicking against it when he was close to the glamorous palace peak and landing on one of its tops

Instead of entering through some gate he sought out energy within the wall, tracing it until he found a rune etched invisibly on one side, an emergency exit no doubt

'A rabbit always has more than one burrow, but that's not always a good thing'

It just allowed sneaky foxes like him to crawl in unnoticed

It took just a few moments of fiddling for this emergency exit to allow him entry, as for whether they knew he entred or not he couldn't be bothered, it was his fastest and least alarming way in

Barely a minute into the Palace and he found himself at a junction of halls, each roamed by armored people who couldn't begin to sense the sneaking human

'This will take a bit'

He knew exactly where Ellis was, that being said he did not know the layout of this place and would take time to figure things out

'Should I kill someone and have Anput call them back as shadows to guide me there or do I have the time to do it safer?'

One thing could give him an answer and that was Ellis's situation

Closing his eyes he focused on her tattoo once more causing the black ink to glow on his side, a very small effect compared to Ellis's

On the redhead's side the tattoo of a chained eye opened on her forehead, its eyeball rolling around to take in the surroundings which turned to be the same scenario from when he last peeked, except the woman's gauntlets were now glowing gold

'Looks like I can do things more safely'

Cutting the connection he started to search for the nearest entrance into that prison, taking one wrong turn after the other and witnessing the many things hidden within the rooms of this palace, starting from the true from the unarmed people lounging about to the real purpose behind this place's existence

'Is that Varuime they are mining?'

The plain yellow rocks were nothing new to his eyes, he even made sure to get close enough so his skill could identify it but the result was what he expected, the same low quality mineral he knew

'What would people of this level be doing mining something so common? There are so many specialized metals and crystals that could more than fit the bill…perhaps they are not after the Varuime itself but want to unearth something under this mine?'

Theories popped in and out of his head as he continued the search, almost all theoretical but one thing was for sure

'This is not a main base, it is just a mining outpost, in other words these creatures are an advanced race'

The confrontation of such facts made him frown, advanced races were ones that managed to survive the apocalyptic world that the Infidome was to build up their own empire

'All the more reason to wipe this base out, I can't let their main forces know of the human race, it would be an unwinnable war'

But first came Ellis's rescue, and he happened to just find the secret entrance into the dungeon under these well maintained tiles

It was an encrypted rune, nothing too fancy, a few seconds and he was done with it granting him entrance underground

'Child's play'

Stepping down the dirty stairs he navigated through the many cells, each housing either a skeleton, dismembered body, or a living hopeless prisoner, gasping for their last air

"Pu!"

"Haha! COme on, scream out girl, you won't get the chance to when I break open that jaw of yours"

Arriving before the cell where Ellis was being tortured with fists and kicks that seemed to send a golden light into her, intensifying the pain he would guess

"....Fine, I'll talk"

"Oh? Really now? I honestly thought you would rather go down fighting, what displeasure"

Feeling she overestimated the redhead the woman shook her head in disappointment and opened the cell doors to get out

"Wait here while I get somebody to record your words, not that you have anywhere to go, haha-" Click! Click!

The cackle was cut off by the sound of chains loosening as the woman froze for a moment, turning around in the next in time to see a fist smashing into her face

After knocking the torturer to the ground Ellis proceeded to mount her and pummel that merciless face with punch after punch, not stopping until the entire head was turned to mush

"Done?"

"Haah, haah…Yes"

Feeling like she vent out enough of the frustration she got up and started to take off the woman's armor pieces

"Any idea where your hairpin is?"

"No, must have been taken away after knocking me out, I'm glad they left the emergency sportswear I have on"

She said while equipping the gauntlet and boots on, only they merely felt heavy yet not so sturdy

"? What is this thing made of?"

She asked herself, trying it out as she smashed the wall

Crack!

"Um…It broke…."

YuJu noticed the peculiarity of the situation as well, if it really was so weak wouldn't it have broken when hitting Ellis then?

"Never mind it, just throw it away and let's get out of here"

"We are returning to the human lands?"

"No, your returning"

He answered, leading the way for her with a very solemn look about him

"As for me, well, I'd like to learn a bit more about our new neighbors"
