Chapter 866 - The Prodigies of Feng Li

Chapter 866: The Prodigies of Feng Li

The days following that were relatively monotonous. The battle against the beasts continued as new rifts kept emerging every other day. Besides that, other corporations were also still wrestling with Fengli for resources.

Nonetheless, it was still a dull routine for Qin Feng due to the lack of a worthy opponent.

To him, only the S-tiers could be considered a woeful threat now.

He Tianxing had not pursued him after what happened in the Blood River Realm. The Gate of Fear did mount all kinds of assault but Qin Feng trampled over them effortlessly. For some reason, Ayshan did not attack personally.

Qin Feng did not know when Ayshan might lose his mind and come for revenge, but he was certain that He Tianxing would curb his wrath for now.

Out of the ten assassins he had hired to kill Qin Feng, only one had survived because he himself fled. This inevitably unnerved He Tianxing.

It was not that he had given up on killing Qin Feng, but that he had run out of viable means.

He Tianxing had failed twice himself. If he were to strike again, Long Yue would not sit by and watch. Without much of a choice, he could only swallow his pride for now.

'I shall have my revenge after I cure my persistent wound.'

Since Hu San could recover from it, He Tianxing believed he could too. The most pressing matter at hand was to find the blood concentrated crystal. He would deal with other stuff later.

As such, one month passed peacefully in a flash. Qin Feng's Fengli Organization had secured a firm footing inside the Blood River Realm within that time. Peculiarly, though they were the only corporation with the highest proportion of C-tier aptitude users, nobody dared to touch them.

This was how the prestige of an elect was established.

The elects might not need to do much. Their names itself was a deterring factor.

In the blink of an eye, December once again arrived quietly.

Qin Feng had failed to locate He Tianxing's whereabouts. Though he wished to continue searching for the opportunity to assassinate him, he had to put it to a halt.

The Prodigy Tournament was just around the corner.

"I would need to go to Dragon Capital. Guard the Blood River Realm for me. I will return within half a month."

After all, the Perished Land would only open for half a month.

The humans in Qin Feng's dimension were considered feeble on average. Technology was the quickest way to develop powerful soldiers and strengthen Fengli's position.

Breathing the fresh air outside of Blood River Realm lightened Qin Feng's mood.

He checked the messages in his communicator, then contacted Shang Han.

Shang Han's face immediately came onto the communicator's screen.

"Regent, regarding the Prodigy Tournament, should I go alone or go along with my team?" Qin Feng asked.

"You plan to attend?" Shang Han asked in bafflement.

"Of course!" Qin Feng replied.

Shang Han had underestimated Qin Feng's persistence over the Prodigy Tournament. Then, she thought about the hidden techs and immediately understood.

The Fengli Organization relied heavily on technology for its business development. As such, it was only natural for Qin Feng to be allured by the undiscovered technology found in the Perished Land.

"It didn't cross my mind that you would leave your Blood River empire behind and come to Dragon Capital."

"Bai Li would keep watch for me in Blood River Realm."

"Ah! I actually forgot Bai Li is skilled enough to hold down a fort now." Though Bai Li was certainly a creature that no one would easily forget, her overpowering consciousness would subconsciously influence others to ignore her presence. That was why it slipped Shang Han's mind for a moment there.

"In that case, just come along with your team as the mentor. Save me the trouble of sending someone over to escort them," Shang Han answered Qin Feng's earlier question.

"Me? Mentor?" Qin Feng asked puzzlingly.

Prodigies were important assets. As such, they were normally escorted by an A-tier aptitude user.

Shang Han smirked. "Haven't you heard? The North Sea has taken up seventy entries in this year's tournament. I will not be going this year. I will send you the pass and assign you as the team mentor slash leader."

Shang Han would not easily dispatch any mission to Qin Feng now. Especially after learning that Qin Feng had secured a strategic position in Blood River Realm, she would not force the task into Qin Feng's hand.

The Blood River Realm would always be the priority.

Nevertheless, since Bai Li would be guarding the realm and Qin Feng was going to Dragon Capital anyway, Shang Han conveniently passed on the escorting task to him.

More importantly, the best interest during every Prodigy Tournament was the reward that would be given to the qualified prodigies. However, since seven out of every ten participants were from the North Sea, with most of them under the Fengli Organization, what was there to buy?

Everything would eventually be collected by the Fengli Organization.

Hence, Shang Han decided to save her time and breath this round.

Qin Feng knew it too. Thus, he accepted the task with no complaints. He could not think of any excuse to shirk from the responsibility.

After clarifying the details, Qin Feng used a spatial stone and headed to Beihua immediately.

The aircraft from Fengli that had delivered the participants to the qualifiers was currently parked at Beihua. Unlike last year, Qin Feng did not ask for a spatial tunnel this time. Instead, he informed the participants to board the aircraft.

He waited for two hours until all the prodigies had rendezvoused.

Qin Feng immediately recognized them.

The strongest among them was no doubt Zhou Hao.

Zhou Hao was now a C1-tier ancient warrior. The C1-tier badge on his chest proved that he had passed the certification mission.

Unfortunately for Jin Fei, who was one of the top prodigies last year, had passed the age limit to take part in the tournament despite being a C-tier now.

Other than that, Qin Feng was shocked to find Lu Meng among the participants. She was only at D2-tier but every accessory on her, from the equipped weapon to her teeth, was the latest technology developed by Fengli. This made her one of the top prodigies.

Fengli City had undergone drastic advancement this past year too. The Glittering Gold Sand had propelled the talent and strength of those living there.

Five other prodigies that caught Qin Feng's eyes were descendants of Fengli's high-ranked officers.

They represented the future of Fengli City. This generation had exhibited immense talent at a young age. That coupled with the ample resources and dragon blood supplied internally through the Battlegod Tomb built them a solid foundation. They might not necessarily reach the emperor-tier but would definitely be king-tier one day.

Laudably, they did not show the slightest arrogance despite their status quo.

Then again, how could they be when the true prodigy of Fengli was standing right in front of them?

"President!"

"President!"

"Good to see you!"

They greeted Qin Feng admirably.

Qin Feng nodded back, then talked to Zhou Hao. "Now that you are a C-tier, no one would stop you this time. Remember to bring back as many rewards as you can. Don't forget to carry a few more spatial equipment with you," Qin Feng reminded him.

With Zhou Hao around, Qin Feng no longer needed to spend time collecting the less significant technological pieces. He could concentrate more on exploring the Perished Land and look for things he had missed out last round. The best would be if he could find a way to manufacture sacred armor.

Though the sacred armor was very durable, his armor was long broken. Besides, the more powerful Qin Feng got, the less useful the sacred armor became to him. However, Qin Feng thought that he had not tapped into its full potential.

"Don't worry about it. I have great help too." Zhou Hao looked at his comrades and said confidently.

This was when the other three prodigies showed up.
