Mastering Lightning from Hogwarts
#46 - Sirius the Sloppy King
Soon, the train arrived at Platform 9 and ¾. After promising to write to each other during the holidays, they got off the train and onto the platform. After saying goodbye to Anduin, Vivian left with her family who had come to pick her up.
As Anduin was about to leave alone, he suddenly spotted a familiar figure and couldn't help but laugh, "Sirius? What are you doing here?"
"Haha, I was just worried you'd be lonely and bored arriving all by yourself. I happened to be passing by, so I thought I'd pick you up. What do you think, are you surprised?" Sirius was wearing a brown coat, and his shoulder-length hair was slightly styled, still revealing a wild and unruly expression.
"I think you're the one who's lonely and bored. I bet you only thought of picking me up because you had nothing else to do," Anduin said, seeing through Sirius's thoughts and mocking him mercilessly.
"I offer you kindness, and you repay me with ingratitude! I was worried you wouldn't have any friends, so I'm showing you concern, and you don't even thank me. By the way, who was that little girl who got off the train with you? Is she your girlfriend?" Sirius said to Anduin with a smile and a playful scolding, then asked with a grin.
"Did you never talk to any girls when you were at school? Why are you so curious about this? If you want to find a girlfriend, I can introduce you to someone. What do you think of Madam Pince from the Hogwarts library? You know, your friends even have kids now, it's not right for you to be alone. "Anduin knew what Sirius was like, so he didn't hold back.
"Hahahaha, I'm destined to be surrounded by beautiful women my whole life, never getting attached to any of them. What do you little kids know?" Sirius felt that Anduin's temperament was very compatible with his, and he didn't treat him like an outsider at all, speaking without any reservations.
The two of them teased each other as they left the station. Anduin followed Sirius to the station parking lot and walked to a motorcycle with a sidecar.
"What do you think, isn't it cool? This is my baby, I don't let just anyone ride it. You're lucky today," Sirius said as he threw Anduin a helmet.
Anduin looked at the motorcycle speechlessly. You're taking me on this in the middle of winter? Aren't you afraid the cold wind will freeze you stupid? But considering that Sirius had made a special trip to pick him up, he could only reluctantly get into the sidecar.
"What, I specially drove my little baby to pick you up, and you're not happy? You know, this baby of mine can not only drive on the ground, but also fly and turn invisible," Sirius said, looking annoyed at Anduin's expression.
"Oh? It's a magical item?" Anduin hadn't expected that. After getting on, he couldn't help but touch it here and there, preparing to study the principle of this thing.
"Hey, be careful, don't touch it randomly, you can't afford to pay if you break it. Tell me, where do you live, I'll take you there?" Sirius was exasperated by Anduin's small movements.
"Go to Diagon Alley, I've been staying at the Leaky Cauldron," Anduin replied reluctantly, withdrawing his hand.
Sirius knew that Anduin had stayed at the Leaky Cauldron during the summer, and he had even visited Anduin twice, but he didn't know that he was still going to stay there now that the holidays had started, so he couldn't help but ask, "Are you sure? Are you planning to spend Christmas at the Leaky Cauldron?"
"Yeah, I can't use magic in the Muggle world, that's not very convenient," Anduin replied.
Sirius couldn't help but look at Anduin. Only then did he realize that Anduin was an orphan, but it would be too pitiful to spend Christmas alone in a bar, so he couldn't help but ask, "In that case, why don't you stay at my place? I usually live alone, what do you think?"
Anduin thought about it and felt that it didn't matter, as long as he could use magic. Moreover, the dinner party he was invited to was after Christmas, so he could go with Sirius. He nodded and said, "Okay, as long as I'm not bothering you."
Sirius laughed and said, "Haha, I'm not afraid of being bothered, just don't mind that my place is messy. Then it's settled, let's go!"
With that, Sirius started the motorcycle and sped off. After driving through an empty street, Sirius raised his hands, and the motorcycle soared into the sky.
The two of them were traveling in the sky above London, but everyone seemed to not see them. This was probably the invisibility that Sirius was talking about, but it was really cold. The biting cold wind blew on Anduin, making him feel once again that this broken car was really unreliable. How could Sirius stand it? Unable to bear it, Anduin couldn't help but release a transparent barrier in front of him, finally blocking the biting wind.
Sirius drove Anduin to a street in a Muggle neighborhood. After driving for a while on the street, they stopped in front of a small villa. There was even a garage here. After parking the car, Sirius led Anduin into his home.
"Come in, welcome to my humble abode. I ran away from home when I was 16 and have been living here ever since. I've spent many years here." The house wasn't very big, just two floors. Downstairs there was a living room, fireplace, kitchen, and bathroom, and upstairs there were three bedrooms. There was also a small courtyard behind the house.
But as soon as Anduin entered the house, he was choked by a strange smell and started sneezing. The house was fully furnished, but everything was placed in a mess. The floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a while, and the dining table in the room was covered with stains, looking greasy. After entering the kitchen, Anduin also found a pile of pots and pans soaking in the sink, some of which were even moldy.
Sirius felt very comfortable. After entering the house, he lay down on the stained sofa and said to Anduin, "There are two guest rooms upstairs, you can choose one to stay in. But if I get busy, I won't have time to take care of you, you'll have to find your own food."
"Good heavens, are you still a wizard? Are you usually too lazy to use a 'Scourgify' on your house? How can you even live in this environment?" Anduin looked at Sirius speechlessly.
"What's wrong with it? The most important thing about a house is that you live comfortably. Don't you think I'm living very comfortably?" Sirius said with an indifferent smile.
Anduin couldn't stand such a dirty environment, but after all, it wasn't his place, so he carried his luggage upstairs first, wanting to see if the rooms were just as messy.
Anduin walked into a guest room. The environment inside was alright, probably because no one usually lived there. Except for the dust covering the floor and desk.
After looking at the environment, Anduin put down his luggage and owl cage, opened the window, waved his hand, and a gust of air swept through the house, wrapping the dust on the floor, bed, and desk into a ball and sending it out the window.
