Mastering Lightning from Hogwarts

#624 - Harry (asking for monthly ticket recommendation ticket)

"What?" "Safety drill?" "What's that?"

The deans and Dumbledore exchanged puzzled glances, their eyes showing that they didn't even understand what Anduin meant by 'drill'.

"Are you out of your mind? Haven't you heard? Hogwarts and Gringotts are the two safest places in Britain! There's no need for any so-called safety drill here! We're here to protect it, and so is Dumbledore!" Snape reprimanded, increasingly displeased with Anduin's growing audacity.

"Oh? Is that so?" Anduin smiled slightly. "Then I might have to tell you some bad news. A year ago, Gringotts commissioned Silver Gleam Commerce to conduct a comprehensive security check, during which we conducted a simulated crime drill."

"Guess what the final result was?" Anduin looked at Snape with a smile, making him feel uneasy all over.

"You can infiltrate even a place as safe as Gringotts?" Before Snape could react, Dumbledore looked at Anduin with surprise.

"Indeed!" Anduin nodded slightly. "We conducted both a full-scale assault and a stealth test on Gringotts, and Gringotts failed both times."

"The truth is, with sufficient preparation, an average Auror-level wizard can silently infiltrate Gringotts and carry out theft in the mid-to-shallow vaults. Five bold and meticulous wizards can even break into the deep vaults and escape unscathed."

"It is also for this reason that Gringotts recently underwent a comprehensive security upgrade with us. Some problems will not be exposed without real testing. Safety drills are not entirely aimed at the children; you professors are also within the scope of the test," Anduin said with a complacent smile.

He didn't even personally participate in the previous drill at Gringotts, but simply borrowed a few Aurors from the Ministry of Magic to complete a series of operations. What these guys didn't know was that when the goblins discovered that their heavily guarded vaults had been emptied, their eyes almost popped out.

"Such a big thing happened, why didn't a word of it leak out? Are you lying to us?" Snape looked at Anduin with suspicion. He just couldn't believe it.

Anduin smiled slightly when he heard this. "Hehe, how could the goblins at Gringotts spread such embarrassing things everywhere? Everyone who participated in the drill at the time was gagged. Also, I hope that everyone here won't spread rumors, and even if you do, Gringotts will definitely not admit it."

After saying that, he turned to look at Dumbledore. "Headmaster, I wonder if you find this request acceptable?"

"Ah?" Dumbledore had been deep in thought, not knowing what he was thinking. He was stunned when Anduin suddenly interrupted him.

"I have no objections, but how do you plan to operate this so-called 'safety drill'? It shouldn't cause any real safety hazards, right? It wouldn't be good if anyone got injured during the drill," Dumbledore quickly added after reacting.

"Don't worry, it's just some basic drills. As for the specific content of the drill, please allow me to keep it a secret. After all, this kind of drill is all about spontaneity. The time, place, and events must be kept confidential." Whether he was bluffing or not, Anduin's eyes carried a faint smile.

"Then let's settle it like that. Hogwarts has indeed been too peaceful for too long. It's certainly necessary to make everyone aware of the potential dangers," Dumbledore nodded in agreement after exchanging glances with the other deans, but he seemed somewhat absent-minded.

"Very well, that's all I have to report to everyone today. However, since the work I'm undertaking at the Ministry of Magic has not yet concluded, my return to school may be a bit late, but I will definitely be there before September 1st. I hope everyone will be understanding." After saying that, Anduin nodded slightly to everyone with a hint of apology.

After the meeting, Dumbledore hurriedly called Hagrid away, seemingly having something urgent to discuss.

On the other side, Anduin was led away by Professor McGonagall, who was going to familiarize Anduin with his office and theory classroom.

Speaking of which, Dumbledore was indeed very generous to Anduin. The school allocated him a very high-standard personal office on the fifth floor of the main tower. The location, size, and decoration were all impeccable, second only to the offices of the four house heads and the headmaster's office.

"Anduin, this used to be the office of the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, Mellers. She chose to retire after the Dark Lord graduated and cursed the position. Since the successors after that were... how should I put it, they didn't hold the position for long, and most of them were assigned to temporary offices, so this place has been vacant. But the house elves still keep it very clean. I hope you like it." After leading Anduin into the office, McGonagall briefly introduced the history of the office to him.

"Thank you, Professor McGonagall. I'm very satisfied with this place. I didn't expect to be able to see the Black Lake directly from here. It's truly a wonderful view," Anduin said with a smile as he came to the window, admiring the surrounding scenery with great interest. He never thought that he would return to Hogwarts as a professor one day.

"I'm glad you like it." McGonagall also smiled and moved closer to Anduin.

She had always admired this former student. Whether it was the matter with the German Ministry of Magic back then, or the secrets of Sirius Black, she knew something about them. In Anduin's eyes, he had always been someone who took great care of his friends and valued relationships.

"Anduin, Dumbledore should have told you, right? That child... he will also be enrolling this year." McGonagall gazed into the distance through the window, muttering softly with an ambiguous tone.

"You mean Harry," Anduin nodded thoughtfully. "Speaking of which, I haven't seen him in ten years. I wonder how the child is doing now."

"When Harry was placed, I had some understanding of his growing environment. His situation may be a bit complicated..." McGonagall was silent for a moment, then continued, "After you see him again, I hope you don't blame Dumbledore. He's also considering Harry's safety."

"What do you mean by that?" Anduin frowned slightly when he heard this. Was there something wrong with Harry's growing environment?

But McGonagall didn't answer directly at this time, changing the subject. "Let's not talk about that. I remember Dumbledore also told me that you seem to need to travel frequently between the school and outside due to Silver Gleam Commerce's business. I'll give you a special pass later. With it, you won't trigger the school's protective magic when you enter and leave Hogwarts."

"However, Apparition is prohibited in Hogwarts, and there are no fireplaces connected to the outside world. The only Floo Network that allows people to travel is in Dumbledore's office, so to travel back and forth to Hogwarts, you either have to go to the headmaster's office, or you can only leave the range of Hogwarts."

"You don't need to worry about that. I have my own way." Anduin shook his head indifferently, then took out an exquisite leather pouch, and then forcibly pulled a door out of it in front of McGonagall!

After casually installing the door on the wall next to him, Anduin said with a smile, "I can go back to Silver Gleam Commerce from here, so I don't need to bother you."

"This..." McGonagall looked at Anduin's series of unexpected actions and shook her head with a wry smile. "I'm really stupid to be worried about this kind of problem for you, an alchemy master. But you have to take good care of this door, and don't let some inexplicable people run in."

"Don't worry, this door can't be opened without my permission." After saying that, Anduin turned the handle, opened the door, and made a gesture of invitation. "Please, Professor McGonagall. Let me take you to Diagon Alley for a drink. The last time we had tea in Diagon Alley was eleven years ago."

...

Another half month passed in a flash.

On August 1st, Hagrid once again passed through the door of the Leaky Cauldron and arrived at Diagon Alley, but this time he was accompanied by a thin boy.

"Welcome to Diagon Alley, Harry!" Hagrid let out a hearty laugh, looking happily at the boy next to him.

"Wow!" The savior, who was in contact with the magical world for the first time, was now widening his eyes to observe everything around him. Everything was so new to him.

He was surrounded by a bustling crowd. Some people were loudly selling various strangely named goods, while others were traveling in groups on the road, or admiring the goods covetously in front of the windows, or discussing something with great interest.

"Have you heard? Silver Gleam Commerce recently signed a mysterious singer named Celia. Her singing is simply amazing!"

"I've heard about it a long time ago, and your news is too outdated. I also know that her records have recently been included in the 'Silver Gleam Blind Box'. I personally saw someone win one!"

"Then what are we waiting for? A blind box is only 10 Sickles. Let's draw a few! Even if we don't win a record, we won't lose out!"

Harry watched several girls next to him run towards the depths of Diagon Alley, talking and laughing. This made him also curiously tilt his head and ask, "Hagrid, what is the blind box that those people are talking about?"

"Blind box, huh?" Hagrid scratched his head and chuckled. "I seem to have heard Anduin mention it before. It seems that he used it to clear inventory and scam money... oh no, in his words, it's a small lucky draw prop. It seems to be very popular since it was launched. If you're interested, I'll take you to see it later. You also need to buy a lot of teaching aids at Silver Gleam Commerce anyway."
