Mastering Lightning from Hogwarts

#718 - Snape is upset (asking for monthly ticket recommendation ticket)

Snape's mood had been awful lately. He felt like he was being watched, as if several pairs of eyes were constantly spying on him from the shadows. Yet, he couldn't figure out who it was.

On top of that, Anduin's blasted dungeon was driving him crazy.

During class, the little wizards incessantly chattered about dungeons, equipment, optimal routes, monster strategies, and records.

They weren't focusing on Potions at all. Although he admitted that thanks to Anduin's tactical training course, the students at Hogwarts had significantly improved, and most of the young wizards were now far ahead of where they used to be.

But which professor would complain about the teaching progress being too fast? For example, in previous years, Snape's teaching progress might have been 1, and this year, before the dungeon appeared, it might have increased to 5, but now it had dropped back to 2.

Snape naturally couldn't accept this, so he was extremely dissatisfied with Anduin's decision to open the dungeon.

To vent his frustration, he even issued a dungeon ban to Harry and Neville, hoping to kill the chicken to scare the monkeys and knock some sense into those increasingly impudent students.

However, this didn't seem to have much of an effect. The little wizards still stubbornly ran to Training Ground 4, and even he had recently gotten into trouble.

Who exactly is spying on me?

Walking down the hallway, Snape felt that vague sense of being watched again, and he immediately became alert. But when he turned around to look, the area behind him was empty again.

Could it be Quirrell?

Snape muttered to himself. He had noticed that Quirrell seemed a bit off. During the Quidditch match when Harry's broom went out of control, that guy just happened to be nearby.

So Snape naturally suspected him, but after some probing and questioning, he didn't get enough evidence to accuse him, and in the end, he could only let it go after issuing a warning.

He even considered asking Anduin for his opinion. That guy was elusive as always, but he was definitely monitoring the entire Hogwarts in secret. That's how the boy was back in Slytherin, like a ghost, yet his eyes and ears were everywhere.

But at the thought of Anduin's detestable, hypocritical face, and his relationship with Lily, Snape instinctively didn't want to approach him.

"But who exactly is causing trouble? It seems I still have to focus on Quirrell. That guy has been acting strange ever since he went to Albania. I wonder if it's just my imagination." Snape shook his head thoughtfully, then disappeared at the end of the hallway.

Meanwhile, in a corner at the other end of the hallway, space seemed like a blanket being suddenly pulled away, revealing…

"That guy is really cautious, not leaving a single clue." Hermione muttered, watching Snape walk away.

"If he wasn't like that, the professors wouldn't have been fooled by him," Harry grumbled indignantly. "But it's a good thing we have the Invisibility Cloak, or we would have been discovered long ago."

"Exactly." Ron glanced at Hermione. "You even dared to mention your newly learned tracking skills, but in the end, we still had to rely on the Invisibility Cloak."

"How can you blame me for that?" Hermione retorted, elbowing Ron. "Who would have thought Snape would be so vigilant? But this just proves that he must be brewing some kind of conspiracy."

"Anyone can see that Snape definitely wants to seize the Philosopher's Stone for himself," Ron asserted. "But we still don't know exactly what he's planning to do. We can't just keep staring at him like this, can we?"

"That is indeed a problem." Hermione nodded in agreement. "I don't even know if he's figured out how to get past Fluffy, and I suspect Snape wouldn't dare to act recklessly while Professor Wilson and the headmaster are at school."

"So what do we do now? Keep staring at Snape? He should have returned to his office by now, and he probably won't come out again today." Harry and the others had been tailing Snape for nearly two weeks and had figured out his behavior patterns.

"Let's call it a day. Let's go to Hagrid's and see if we can get any more information out of him, and also visit Norbert." Hermione suggested, feeling a little dejected.

"Alright, but when we went there last week, that guy was already huge. The growth rate of dragons is really scary." Ron said, a little discouraged as if recalling something.

After discussing for a moment, the group walked out of the castle together towards Hagrid's hut.

When they passed the ring of stones, they couldn't help but take a look at Training Ground 4. As a result, they discovered that their ranking record, which they had maintained for so long, had been overtaken by Malfoy.

Seeing this, the quartet's resentment towards Snape deepened. If it weren't for him, why would they be wasting their time tracking people? They would have been wreaking havoc in the Ruins Dungeon.

Fueled by this anger, the four of them endlessly complained about Snape along the way.

But when they finally arrived at Hagrid's hut, they were instantly awakened by a ferocious roar.

When they pried open Hagrid's door, they were immediately stunned by the sight before them.

"Merlin's beard, Hagrid, what have you done? How did Norbert grow so big in just one week?" Ron stared at Norbert, the nearly 3-meter-long dragon, and didn't dare to breathe loudly, only muttering softly to Hagrid.

"Ha, you guys are making a fuss about nothing. Dragon hatchlings grow very quickly. I reckon my house won't be able to hold Norbert in another month." Hagrid held a steel brush and happily brushed the scales on the dragon's back, while showing off to them with a grin, as if it was something to be proud of.

"But if it grows so fast, aren't you afraid of danger? It's a dragon!" Hermione looked at the man and the dragon in front of her, at a loss, and didn't even dare to approach rashly.

"Don't worry, I'm Norbert's mom, how could it hurt me? Ouch!" Hagrid held Norbert's head, wanting to show off their understanding, but Norbert bit Hagrid hard.

Instantly, blood flowed from Hagrid's arm, and judging by the amount of blood, the wound was not small.

"Oh my god!" Hermione screamed in horror, and the others also shouted in unison.

"Don't panic, don't panic!"

Compared to the anxious quartet, Hagrid was quite calm at this time. "It's okay, Norbert is just being mischievous again."

After saying that, Hagrid patted Norbert's head, looking slightly reproachful. "It's not mealtime yet, so being naughty is not cute at all. Behave yourself."

"You're crazy! Hagrid!" Ron hugged his head in horror after seeing Hagrid's indifferent attitude. "Norbert just bit you! Don't you even feel pain?"

"Yeah! Raising a dragon is not a good idea. If it continues like this, it will kill you!" Hermione couldn't help but persuade him.

"Haha, it's okay, it's just a small injury." Hagrid casually wiped the bloodied right hand on his clothes. "Norbert occasionally gets a little mischievous, but it's not bad by nature, right, cute little Norbert?"

Hagrid said perfunctorily and then reached out and poked Norbert's chin, but the dragon seemed to be attracted by the bloody smell on his hand and couldn't help but open its mouth and bite again.

However, Hagrid reacted quickly this time and quickly pulled his hand back, but Norbert's uncooperative behavior made Hagrid a little embarrassed.

"You still say it's okay, it's attacked you twice in just a moment!" Harry glanced at Hagrid worriedly, and then wanted to get closer to care about him, but because of the dragon's aura, he could only move slowly along the edge of the room.

"And you just said Norbert does this often?" Harry approached and carefully observed Hagrid, and then found that his hands and face were now full of jagged wounds, and he immediately said anxiously, "Look at how badly you've been hurt, this can't be explained by just saying it doesn't matter."

"Yeah, Hagrid!" Hermione also looked at him worriedly. "You really can't keep Norbert anymore, it's not something you can take care of alone."

"This..." Hagrid couldn't help but hesitate after hearing the continuous advice from the others. "But Norbert is the child I watched being born, how can I bear to give it to someone else?"

"But raising a dragon at Hogwarts, have you thought about what kind of consequences it will cause? It's so fierce even when facing you, if it encounters other students, the consequences would be unimaginable!" Ron earnestly persuaded.

"That's right, once people know that you're raising a dragon at school, Headmaster Dumbledore will definitely not agree, and the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures will definitely intervene. If Norbert hurts someone during this time, they might even execute it!" Neville also warned, half scaring him, and what he said was not without possibility.

"Oh my god, we can't let the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures know!" Hagrid was startled by Neville's words and quickly shook his head like a rattle.

"Then send it away quickly!" Harry kindly advised again.

"But... where should I send Norbert? Just thinking about leaving this child, I feel like my heart is going to break!" Hagrid pouted childishly, and then affectionately hugged Norbert's neck. At this time, Norbert was very well-behaved and leaned against Hagrid's chest, as if its previous ferocity was really just being mischievous.

Seeing the close relationship between the man and the dragon at this time, the quartet couldn't help but look at each other. They really couldn't understand the feelings between these two guys.

"Why don't you send it to Romania!" Ron suggested at this time. "My brother Charlie raises dragons there, he will definitely be able to take good care of Norbert."

"Charlie, he is indeed a reliable young man." Hagrid nodded upon hearing this. He trusted Charlie, Anduin's former follower, very much.

But Hagrid was a little hesitant again. "But Romania is too far away, do I really have to send Norbert there? What if Norbert doesn't adapt to the environment there? What if it gets depressed after leaving me?"

After hearing Hagrid's words, the quartet rolled their eyes in unison. They had never heard of a dragon getting depressed.

Ron couldn't help but want to complain, you might get depressed, but it probably won't. Throw this guy two meat bones, and Norbert might forget about you.

"How about this." Seeing that Hagrid was really reluctant to part with Norbert, Neville suggested another option. "How about giving Norbert to Professor Wilson to take care of? His ranch can definitely accommodate a dragon, not to mention there's also a Thunderbird and a Phoenix there, even if the professor isn't there, it shouldn't cause any trouble."

"Give it to Anduin?"

"Give it to Professor Wilson?"

After hearing Neville's words, Hagrid and the other three had their eyes lit up.

That's right, Anduin has a vast space to accommodate a dragon, and it's full of Class XXXX and above high-risk creatures. Adding a Class XXXXX Norbert shouldn't be a big problem.

And most importantly, Anduin is at Hogwarts, and it's easy for Hagrid to visit Norbert. Hagrid likes to run to his ranch when he has nothing to do.

"That's really a good idea, why didn't I think of it before!" Hagrid patted his forehead in realization, and then excitedly shook the dragon's neck. "Norbert, you're going to have a new home soon, I'll send you there in a few days. There's food all over the mountains and plains, it's just a pity that Thor and Eileen don't have good tempers, they will definitely bully you, you probably have to endure humiliation, but I will visit you often."

The quartet rolled their eyes again when they heard him blatantly slander Anduin's Thunderbird and Phoenix. They seemed to have heard something terrible from Hagrid, were those two birds really bad-tempered?

But after secretly complaining in their hearts, Harry couldn't help but wonder, "Hagrid, why don't you send Norbert to the professor tomorrow? If you continue to wait, you might get hurt again."

"Ah, it's not that I'm reluctant." Hagrid shrugged helplessly. "It's mainly that Anduin and Dumbledore aren't at Hogwarts these days. They have to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the British Ministry of Magic and the German Ministry of Magic. I heard it's a major project of Silver Flash Bank that has been officially completed."

"Anduin has prepared a grand banquet for the two Ministries of Magic, and he seems to be planning to take this opportunity to promote his new products. Anduin is already out of school today, and Dumbledore will leave either tomorrow or the day after."

"What?"

The quartet was shocked when they heard this. They really hadn't known that Anduin had such an itinerary.

Thinking of this, the four looked at each other, and then they all tasted the same content from each other's eyes.

Trouble! Once Anduin and Dumbledore are not at Hogwarts, it may be the time for Snape to plot something!
