Mirroring the changes
Chapter 553: Minutes of General Space
"Da Leiyin Temple will definitely have a backup plan this time."
Li Chen raised his head slightly, but saw that Monk Miaodi's eyes were firm and he didn't seem to be talking nonsense.
Immediately, he responded in a low voice: "Thank you, I will be careful."
Monk Miaodi nodded and turned to leave.
Li Chen looked at his back, thought for a moment, then turned to look in the direction of Lei Yin Fuzi.
But he saw that he was already facing the second monk.
Li Chen exhaled a breath of turbid air and thought to himself: The soldiers are coming to cover up the water and earth.
Now we are looking for a second opponent.
The second person he met was a middle-aged monk.
His eyes were narrowed to a slit, and a little sparkle shone out from his eyes, making him look very shrewd.
When he saw that the other party was a Buddhist disciple, he was not worried but happy.
【What if the disciple of the Buddha who kills living beings has deep roots of wisdom? He is so young, even if he has been listening to Buddhist scriptures since he was born, he is no match for me now! 】
[Lao Na is the existence known as the ‘Mobile Sutra Pavilion’! 】
"Amitabha."
"Little monk, Shasheng Temple, Li Chen, I have met the senior."
【What a polite little monk~】
"Amitabha."
"Lao Na, I met Master Lichen in Pukong, Minute Temple."
The old monk nodded, looked up and down at the legendary life-killing Buddha, and then asked directly: "What are the meanings of the four fruits of sound-hearing?"
Li Chen secretly thought: Sure enough, Master Pukong's Zen inquiry is deeper.
"This cloud of Sotapanna pre-flows, which is said to be the first foreshadowing of the holy flow. After seven lives and deaths, one can obtain an Arhat. As soon as this cloud of Sotapanna comes and goes, one time of life and death, one obtains an Arhat. Anagami does not return this cloud, and spends his whole life, Then you will become an Arhat. An Arhat has no birth, which means he will never be reborn in the three realms. This is the ultimate of the four fruits."
The old monk Pukong was surprised. He had long expected that this Buddhist disciple who killed living beings must have extraordinary Dharma, but he did not expect that when the other party answered, there was no hesitation at all.
[It seems that this life-killing Buddha is much more difficult to deal with than I imagined. 】
At this moment, Li Chen suddenly asked: "People in the past are not people in this world. People in this world are not people in the future. How can one eat the fruit and receive retribution?"
As soon as the old monk heard this question, his heart tightened: the question of this life-killing Buddhist disciple was really tricky.
But soon he smiled. If he were to compete in cultivation, he might be lacking.
But if it's Buddhism, well, I haven't obeyed anyone yet, even if I kill a Buddhist disciple, I have to teach him a lesson!
Immediately he said directly: "Although the bodies are different, the minds are not different, so there are things that are not ignorant of the antecedents, such as knotting a grass ring and so on."
Li Chen nodded, but saw that the monk in front of him had an indifferent expression, as if the question he just asked did not seem to cause any hesitation to the other person.
After the old monk pondered for a moment, he suddenly asked: "What is the blazing prosperity of the five yins?"
This question is a bit heartbreaking.
Everyone knows that the Shenxiu Princess who killed the Buddha and the Xiangfei Valley, cut the bamboo and combined it, actually has the worry of desire in Buddhism.
So the old monk had this question.
[Young people, you probably don’t know much about love, so slowly fall into my old man’s trap. 】
Li Chen secretly felt funny in his heart. This old monk seemed to be completely kept in the dark.
"Our body and mind can be divided into five categories: one color, two feelings, three thoughts, four elements, and five consciousnesses. Yin is a covering, and it is always shrouded and difficult to escape, so it is called blazing. For example, the desire for sound and color can arise at any time, There are troubles and sufferings at the time, and physical and mental illness afterward. The suffering is particularly severe because of the karma caused by the consequences. "
The old monk was surprised when he saw this. He didn't expect the other party to be so calm. He asked without mercy: "The twelve causes and conditions are continuous. How is it?"
When Li Chen saw this, he naturally did not dare to be cautious at all: "Ignorance gives rise to actions as a condition, actions give rise to consciousness as a condition, consciousness gives rise to name and form as a condition, name and form as a condition gives rise to the six sense organs, contact as a consequence of the six sense elements gives rise to feeling, and contact as a condition gives birth to feeling. To be born is love, to love is to be born, to be born to be, to be born, to be born, to be born, and to be old and die.”
His words were a little deep, but neither humble nor arrogant.
"What does it mean that conditional consciousness produces name and form?"
…
The two of them went back and forth without any courtesy, and in the blink of an eye they had exchanged seven or eight questions.
The further they went, the more surprised the old monk Pukong became.
[This disciple of the Killing Buddha is obviously young, but his knowledge of Buddhism is so profound. 】
[Could this Buddhist disciple really be the reincarnation body of some great Buddha? 】
As his thoughts were tumbling, it was his turn to ask another question. Monk Pukong pondered and thought about raising the difficulty: "What is a pure mind?"
This question sounds easy, but it is not easy to find the basis for it in the vast Buddhist scriptures.
After asking this question, Monk Pukong raised his head and looked into Li Chen's eyes, thinking in his heart: How should this young monk deal with it.
After all, he had the advantage of age and had read more Buddhist scriptures than Li Chen had ever eaten.
Just when he was confident, Li Chen suddenly replied: "It can be done for worldly matters, but not for worldly purposes."
“The mind without any disturbance is the mind that is pure and peaceful.”
When the old monk heard this, his expression changed and he lost his pure heart.
‘It can be done for worldly things, but it cannot be done for worldly purposes. ’ This statement comes from the annotations in Ananda’s Sutra on the Buddha’s Misfortunes and Good Lucks.
[This scripture is not a mainstream classic. According to his age, he should not have read it! 】
Li Chen smiled secretly in his heart and said to 'Zhi Sou', 'That's good, that's good'.
Now it was Li Chen's turn to ask questions again, and he did not intend to delay any longer this time, even though a difficult question came up: "What does it look like when cultivating concentration in the void?"
This question is about an unnamed scripture that Li Chen saw in the Sutra Library of the Vajra Temple.
As one of the three hidden temples, the Vajra Temple contains many rare Buddhist scriptures.
Even though the monk Pukong in front of him was knowledgeable and had a strong memory, how could he deal with this scripture that he had never seen before?
Sure enough, when this question came out, the monk Pukong suddenly frowned and stood there without saying a word.
After a long time, he raised his head and sighed: "The young are formidable!"
"I am defeated."
Monk Pukong shook his head slightly, but looked at Li Chen calmly.
"Please help me solve my doubts, the killing Buddha." After saying that, he bowed deeply to Li Chen.
Li Chen also hurriedly returned the greeting and answered directly: "After the practitioner has attained the fourth level of meditation, he deeply contemplates the disadvantages of material phenomena, intends to eliminate all material phenomena, and focuses on emptiness with one mind. The mind does not give up the emptiness, and the color concentration disappears. The mind disappears, and it stays in the emptiness freely. After that, it suddenly corresponds to the emptiness. The mind is clear and pure, without suffering or happiness. It only sees the void, without any color. The mind is clear and free, and it is free and unobstructed. This is the state of emptiness concentration."
"It comes from a book "Sutra of the Commentary on the Meaning of the Shurangama Sutra" in the Sutra Pavilion of the Vajra Temple."
"I guess Senior Pukong has not read this sutra, so Li Chen won unfairly."
"Hahaha."
After laughing three times, Master Pukong said: "Winning is winning, losing is losing."
"Winning and losing are all external appearances, and they are all practices."
"Master Li Chen is modest."
"I wish you all the best in this auspicious Dharma Assembly."
After saying that, he turned around and left. It must be said that Master Pukong has reached the state of Zen mind.
