MMORPG: Crowd Control

After walking for about 15 minutes, Lei Zhen arrived at the hospital. Despite it being the nighttime, there were still many nurses and doctors running around, checking on the patients.

The life of a doctor was exactly like that. A single break they take might be equivalent to a patient losing their life. Hence, some doctors are always on call for 36 hours straight without break.

Being a doctor was such a tedious task, yet still, a lot of people wished to become one. After all, a capable doctor is enough to make many rich business people go on their knees and beg for them to cure.

'Sigh, that dream is over already, Lei Zhen. Stop daydreaming.' Lei Zhen reminded himself as he made his way toward the fifth floor.

Given his constant visit to the hospital, the nurses nearby had recognized him and greeted him politely.

"Lei Zhen, are you here to visit your sister again?" A kind and beautiful nurse asked him.

She was wearing the nurse uniform with those white stockings on her long legs that increased her allure. Although she had never told him her real age, Lei Zhen could tell she was probably around 24 or 25 years old.

"Un, Nurse Qiaolian is working hard as usual." Lei Zhen kindly greeted her back. Her full name was Tang Qiaolian and seemed to have come from a wealthy background. Though she was gentle and caring to be a nurse to save more lives.

"Without Nurse Qiaolian's help during my absences, my sister would have been suffering a lot," he added.

One of the reasons why Lei Zhen respected her deeply was because she had helped him chip in some money when he failed to earn enough to supply the medical services.

Tang Qiaolian shook her head and patted his shoulder lightly.

"Don't worry too much about the money. With your cleverness, I bet you will earn a lot of money soon enough. By that time, I'll be happy to receive the money returned with interest." She joked charmingly.

Lei Zhen made an awkward laugh. With him working part-time in the convenience store, he found it embarrassing. After all, the money he earned could never be enough to repay Tang Qiaolian.

Meanwhile, Tang Qiaolian seemed to have sensed his predicament, so she hurriedly gave an excuse.

"Anyway, I still need to input some patient data into the computer, so I won't bother your time visiting your sister anymore." She said and fled the scene.

Of course, Lei Zhen knew it was an excuse she made to save him some face.

Although it was unnecessary, Lei Zhen felt some warmth in his heart that there are still some kind people in this world.

'Thank you, Nurse Qiaolian. I promise to repay you when I have the chance to.' He exclaimed inwardly and clenched his fist tightly. All he needed was a little bit of time before he could complete his long-term goal.

Sometime later, Lei Zhen arrived at room number 505 as he gently turned the doorknob and entered.

Upon entering, there was a single bed with a 'Lei Qingxuan' nametag on the side of the bed, two chairs available for visitors, and some medical equipment.

The most notable piece of medical equipment was the patient monitor that showed some sine waves going up and down. Those sine waves would be confusing for ordinary people with no medical knowledge, but for Lei Zhen, it was like reading an elementary book.

"The sine waves are normal…" Lei Zhen nodded his head and smiled gently at his comatose sister. Her face was a little pale, but other than that, she was like a refined beauty that was merely having her princess sleep.

He grabbed a chair and sat down while stroking her hair. The hair wasn't smooth considering how he hadn't visited for three days to wash her hair and body.

"Xiao Qingxuan, when will you wake up? Your elder brother is struggling hard to live alone." Lei Zhen began talking to her even if she was not able to respond to him. He believed that she would still be able to hear him, so he continued to discuss his current life.

From how he miserably failed his resident exam, and how he turned toward the VRMMORPG game, Magnolia. And how he was working part-time in the game-related convenience store.

Once he finished his story, Lei Zhen stood up and opened another door within the room. The bathroom was connected to the hospital room. He went to the bathroom to grab a basin of warm water, and not because he needed to use it.

The basin was quickly filled with warm water and Lei Zhen made sure to touch it to check on the temperature. "Haa, this dear little sister of mine is really living a luxurious life."

After filling it up, Lei Zhen grabbed the usual towel he had used in the past. He proceeded to head back out and looked at the serene expression of Lei Qingxuan.

Seeing how peaceful she was, void of the corruption and cruelty of the real world, Lei Zhen sometimes thought it might be better for her to stay in this position.

Shaking his head off that thought process again, Lei Zhen turned around and locked the door, preventing anyone from barging into the room.

"Apologies, Xiao Qingxuan… your elder brother is going to take off your clothes again." Lei Zhen showed an apologetic look as he slowly unbuttoned her clothes, revealing her smooth body.

The process was slow because Lei Zhen didn't want to accidentally harm her. At the same time, he wanted to check on her body temperature physically.

By the time he finished, Lei Qingxuan's upper body and her two assets were stark naked, but not a single lust appeared in Lei Zhen's eyes.

"I might not be your real elder brother by blood, but I'll still treat you as my precious little sister. As for the car accident, I'll promise you that the people that had plotted against us will suffer retribution." Lei Zhen swore solemnly.
