Tang Qiaolian's creepy smile, added with the bloody sword in her hand, anyone would have been frightened to death, much less the two little spawnlings in front of her.

'It's a good thing I'm not Qiaolian's enemy. Who would have thought a kind and gentle nurse like her could have such a demonic side of her?' Lei Zhen patted his chest, praying for the two little spawnlings.

They might have been his enemies, but even he could sympathize with them about what is going to happen next.

As Lei Zhen prayed for their safety, Tang Qiaolian had already lept forward, lunging her sword toward the spawnlings.

The spawnlings were trembling in fear as they scrambled to retreat to safety.

Their sense of smell told them that the sword in Tang Qiaolian's hand had killed their companions.

Against such a strong person, the two spawnlings lost their will to fight and only wished to escape for survival.

Alas, how could their speed avoid the sword from a tier 2 player?

Within a second, a whirlwind slash occurred and the two spawnlings had been decapitated. Their heads detached from their body and their legs could still show some muscle spasm of movement.

It was a swift and accurate slash that only a trained person could achieve.

"Tsk, the blood almost got into my armor." Tang Qiaolian sheathed her sword and pouted.

"Wait a minute, their blood is corrosive too?" Lei Zhen asked when he arrived behind her.

"What do you think? If their blood isn't corrosive, then I wouldn't be using my sword to deflect the blood. This sword of mine is made of adamantine steel so the corrosion wouldn't be able to do much to it."

"Adamantine steel? Just how expensive would that be when you convert to our currency?" He muttered.

Items in Magnolia are extremely valuable because it gives a Magnolia player advantage. A legendary item alone could almost match the cost of a supercar or possibly be worth even more than it.

"You think too much, Lei Zhen. My sword might be worth a lot of money, but that's only if you can actually sell it."

"What do you mean by that? Would there not be any buyers?"

"It's not about whether there are buyers or not. It's about whether you can actually sell it off. Some items, such as my sword are considered unique and are bound to my account. This means that I can never sell it off."

After hearing her explanation, Lei Zhen pondered for a while. "Hmm, so the items can't be sold, but that doesn't mean it restricts the player to dismantle the item and sell its part."

Tang Qiaolian smiled briefly and nodded her head.

"Yes, you can dismantle it, but who would be dumb enough to destroy such a valuable item for a petty profit." She said, walking back toward the corpse of the spawnlings.

"What are you doing?"

"The blood has dried up now, so the item drop would begin."

Once she finished her explanation, the spawnlings that were killed by her before, started shining for a few seconds. Afterward, some silks and orbs were left on the floor.

"What are those items?" Lei Zhen asked curiously.

"Heh, these are very good materials for crafting." Tang Qiaolian smiled and handed the silk and orb to him.

Lei Zhen held the item in his hand and started to inspect them with the system description.

[Strong Silk x5

A very strong silk dropped from Arachne's Spawnling. They can be used to make a bow and other crafting items.]

[Arachne's Crystal Orb x3

A very exquisite orb that can be used for decoration in furniture, weapons, and other types of material. Can be sold for a very high price in markets.]

"So the Arachne's Crystal Orb is just an item that can be sold for gold and not really used much in terms of combat. But the Strong Silk is an essential material for crafting."

"Mhmm, the Strong Silk could be useful for your level as of now. But the pros and other high-ranked players would farm for other types of silk since there are better qualities than this."

"I see…"

Sometime later, Tang Qiaolian finished looting the items and placed them in her inventory.

Given that she was the one that slain all the spawnlings, Lei Zhen was grateful enough to receive 5 Strong Silk and 3 Arachne's Crystal Orb already.

Not to mention, he doesn't even have a use for these items yet.

"Anyway, let's proceed to the next stage now." Tang Qiaolian clasped her hand and said calmly.

Lei Zhen nodded his head. "I'll abide by your words."

"Good, just make sure to stand behind my back at all times and try to increase your accuracy. Previously, you only managed to land one out of three hits on the spawnlings, resulting in you running to me for safety."

"Y-You saw everything?"

"Obviously! Stop thinking that women can't play video games well. I'll have you know, a lot of men were thrashed by me." She snorted coldly.

Unable to refute any of her words, Lei Zhen calmly acted as some scavenger that would scoop up all the items that were dropped by the spawnlings and hand them over once she finished cleaning the area.

Time slowly passed by, and Lei Zhen had lost his sense of time when all he saw were spawnlings getting slain left and right.

Ding!

[You have leveled up!]

Right when Lei Zhen was scavenging another Strong Silk, a system notification popped up.

"Oh, I've finally leveled up." Lei Zhen was filled with joy when he saw his level now display 2.

Meanwhile, Tang Qiaolian nearly stumbled to the ground when she heard his words.

"What the heck? You've only leveled up once after all this work?" She exclaimed in shock and disbelief.

"Huh?"

Lei Zhen was alarmed when Tang Qiaolian looked at him in disbelief.

"Did I do something wrong again?" He asked.

Tang Qiaolian nodded her head.

"By now, I thought you would have been level 17 at the very least. Yet you only managed to level up once. This is too weird."
