Zhang Liling and Tungmei chatted a bit about her roommate before moving over to the next topic as the waiters came back with their food and drink order.

Tungmei who was aware about Song Jujing suffering from cancer, asked about her.

"How is Aunty now, how are the Chemo sections going?"

A soft sigh fell of Zhang Liling's lips at the reminder of her mother's betrayal. But she was not feeling so bad unlike before.

Deciding to spill the truth the way it was, her lips parted slightly to bring forth words.

"We found out that her Cancer diagnosis was a mistake." She revealed as her gaze pinned on Tungmei's face.

"I don't understand," Tungmei said with furrowed brows as her eyes squinted at her.

She looked a little confused, while trying to mask the shock she had felt.

It's not like she didn't hear her the first time, but the fact that she was shocked at the unbelievable news.

The cancer diagnosis was a mistake? What kind of stupid mistake did the hospital commit?

A weak smile turned up on Zhang Liling's face as she went on to explain from the Genesis to the revelation of what her words meant.

As Tungmei listened, she couldn't hide the anger in her heart. She blamed the hospital for their negligence.

How could they make that kind of mistake?

How could a person with completely healthy cells, be misdiagnosed with that kind of illness?

Imagine undergoing Chemo for some months without anything being wrong with you. This is simply playing with someone's life.

Tungmei's complaints rained down as her facial expression turned dark, but as this matter has passed, Zhang Liling didn't want then to continue dwelling on it.

"Tungmei, there is no need getting angry, it's not worth it anymore. There is so much you can do with a stable emotion."

Tungmei breathed in heavily. "Hope the hospital compensated your mum?" She asked without raised brows.

She was trying to make sure Song Jujing wasn't completely on the lose end.

"I don't know, but I'm sure they did otherwise, my mother would have sued them." Zhang Liling said as she picked up the bottle of non-alcoholic wine she ordered.

Tungmei's gaze followed Zhang Liling's hands as they picked up the bottle of wine, and it was then she noticed the kind of wine that was ordered.

She couldn't help but to comment about it. "Liling, I thought you would have ordered a bottle of Champagne in the least to celebrate our reunion. Why did you get a bottle of grape wine instead?"

Finally having something to distract her attention, Tungmei felt relieved as a deep sigh escaped from her lungs.

As Zhang Liling held the bottle with her left hand, she proceeded to shred the silver covering at the mouth with her right fingers.

"I don't want to taste any alcohol today." Briefly raising her gaze to meet her eyes, the corners of her lips curled.

"Let's have alcohol another time, you have work tomorrow."

Zhang Liling could have easily given her the idea of her new relationship, but she didn't want to, at least not at the moment, so she gave another reason which didn't go down with Tungmei.

Tungmei huffed and threw her face away. "Just the reminder of what day tomorrow is, its already making me exhausted."

Zhang Liling didn't need to ask about work, because they constantly talked about it over chat while she was away.

"At least no one is bullying you, so I don't have to be troubled." She said with a sigh as she poured some of the red grape wine into their wine glasses before putting the bottle at the center of the table.

Picking up her wine glass, Tungmei stretched it toward her, so they could clink glasses, and just as the 'clang' sound from their glasses colliding sounded, she replied,

"The work load is not different from bullying."

Zhang Liling chuckled soundlessly as she watched her drink from her glass.

Shaking her head, she placed the rim of her wine glass on her lips before raising the glass slightly to take a few sips.

As her tongue relished the divine taste of the good wine, she nodded in approval. "This is good wine." She said almost giving her glass a thumbs up after she gently put it down.

"You have always had a good taste with wine, and that to, you know how to pick them." Tungmei complemented with a small smile before turning her attention to her food.

It was time to eat after all.

"Thanks to my stay in Paris." Zhang Liling said, finishing the sentence with a wink.

In the middle of eating, Tungmei whose mind had been busy paused with her food briefly, to ask, "Liling, does your Father know you are back? What about the others?"

Cutting her steak with the cutlery, Zhang Liling picked up the piece she got with her fork before sending it into her mouth.

"I don't know, and it's not my concern at the moment."

She couldn't say for sure if they were now aware of her presence in City S, not after Zhang Xiaoling saw her the previous night and tried to abandon her.

In fact, Zhang Liling was very sure that her stepsister would would spread the news of her appearance at the Fang Family's party, but she didn't care about it.

She was waiting for a call, just one call, and that's if her father dared to dial her contact number.

Well whatever it was, Zhang Liling couldn't be bothered with it. There were some things she needed to decide on.

Heating her say that, Tungmei knew that she didn't have to concern herself with it and only sighed as she continued to eat her food.

To ease the atmosphere, Zhang Liling asked about Tungmei's family.

"Are your parents still disturbing you? The last I was informed, you sent them money last month."

"Mttcheewww... I'm sure they are expecting something from me at the end of this month as usual."
