As soon as Tang Enlai got off the phone with the representative from Glint, he slipped his phone inside his pocket and briefly glanced at the woman laying awake on the bed, before heading out.

Hearing the sound of retreating footsteps, Zhang Xiaoling finally sat up from the bed with her phone in hand.

Staring at the shut door in her line of sight, the negative auto flowing from her increased.

She looked tired, tired of everything and just wanted to get away from them all.

Letting out a long sigh, she pushed the duvet covering her fair legs out of the way and got off the bed and headed for the inner room.

She was still in her night robe and was yet to freshen up.

Tang Enlai was quick in his steps and as soon as he climbed down the stairs, he made his way toward the living area while looking around him for any servant he could ask about the parcel.

He seems to be in a hurry that he almost walked past the living room. He would have missed this perfect picture in his line of sight if he hadn't seen his mother struggling with a big box in front of him.

Normally, Enlai would have continued in his steps as he had nothing to do with his mother's dealings, but something in him told him that his mother had something that belonged to him.

Feeling that the box was the package sent over from Glint, he quickly called out to his mother in an urgent tone while making his way toward her in rushed footsteps.

"Mum!"

Hearing his voice, Mrs. Tang was immediately distracted from the box in front of her. She looked surprised as she turned her gaze to meet his face.

Before she could even say anything to him, he best her to it.

"Mum, are you trying to take a peek at what belongs to me?" Tang Enlai inquired as he glanced briefly at the box before shifting his gaze back to his mother.

Surprised that the package actually belonged to him and not his wife, she tried to confirm from him.

"This belongs to you?"

For a moment, Tang Enlai was confused and even felt that he must have been mistaken. With the way his mother reacted, he was beginning to doubt it this package actually belonged to him.

Could it be that his name was not written on it.

Deciding to try his luck with nothing to lose, he went further to ask.

"Isn't my name written on it? The company I placed this order from just informed me that the package I placed an order for, had gotten to my doorstep."

With this evidence lying in front of her, Mr. Tang could no longer deny that the box belonged to him and not Zhang Xiaoling.

Instantly, a smile contoured her face.

"A servant brought this over but I refused to believe that it belonged to you. I thought Zhang Xiaoling placed an order in your name, so I was trying to see what was inside."

Just then, the servant she sent to fetch a knife, returned with it.

Tang Enlai briefly glanced at her and the knife in her hand before looking back to his mother with black spread on his forehead.

"Mum, that was rude of you to open Someone's package without their permission."

Without another word, he carried the box and turning to face the servant, he reached out a hand to her, demanding for the knife.

Immediately the knife was submitted to him, he walked away in annoyance, leaving his mother gawking at him.

Mrs. Tang was surprised that her son would embarrass her Ruth the truth, but how could he say that to her face?

How could he tell her that she was being disrespectful to his wife? Was he not insulting her?

In Tang Enlai's mind few minutes ago when he was saying those words to her, he didn't care about the reaction she would have because he was already very disappointed with her actions.

Was she being serious when she made that statement?

How could she open the package because she thought it belonged to his wife, and she even addressed her by her full name.

Didn't she know that she was being disrespectful to Zhang Xiaoling by making her look like an outsider?

Since when did she have to search her things before it would reach her? That was a wrong move he would never tolerate.

Tang Enlai was not going to allow his mother to downgrade his wife because that will be as good as her, slapping his face directly.

Disrespecting his wife also meant disrespecting him in case she was not aware.

Watching her son walk away, Mrs. Tang Tang squeezed her palms as her breathing hitched.

Walking into the room, Tang Enlai saw no one in sight.

The bed was empty as the person laying on it before, was already gone. But hearing the sound if water coming from the bathroom, he guessed where Zhang Xiaoling was.

'At least I can check a few things without her being here,' he thought to himself before shutting the door behind him and putting the box on the floor.

As the big brown box had a lot of white taping all over its body, they only way to open it was to use a sharp object.

Glancing at how security-tight the packaging was, Tang Enlai discovered why it was difficult for his mother to open it with her bare hands despite having struggled with it for a while.

Without any time to waste, he used the night to clear out a path a d in no time, he was able to tear it open and being out the smaller box in it after shifting the small pieces of paper shreds and other soft cosy items used to protect the inner box.

"Glint," His lips uttered as soon as he caught sight of what was written on the box.

Letting out a sigh, he out the knife aside and proceeded to carry out the inner box.
