Mulgore Hotel in Marvel

Chapter 77 Recruiting the Hulk

Kausu's guess was not wrong. The woman who accidentally entered Hell's Kitchen was Betty Ross.

She once had a happy life with a like-minded boyfriend, Bruce Banner. Both worked as scientists and professors at Culver University, but it all went sour because of her father, Thaddeus Ross.

In response to the 9/11 incident, Secretary of Defense General Ross planned to restart the super soldier serum project, and both Betty and Banner were recruited. In this project, Betty develops a myostatic drug that allows an individual's blood cells to temporarily absorb gamma rays, eliminating malignant brain tumors caused by radiation exposure.

But Banner increased the dose of gamma rays in order to speed up the experiment, eventually turning him into a big green monster. Betty tried to stop her boyfriend, but was unfortunately injured and hospitalized.

After she recovered, Banner became a wanted criminal, and Betty was forced to separate from her boyfriend under the pressure of her father. Time gradually faded everything, and she planned to start a new life of her own.

Just a few days ago, Culver University colleague Leonard Samson confessed to Betty that she didn't know whether to accept this new relationship. When she was at a loss, she chose to leave temporarily, returned to New York, and moved into her father's old house in Harlem.

As an expert in cell biology, Betty has a habit of thinking about problems while walking. Because she had been thinking too long that day, she unknowingly walked all the way from Harlem to Clinton (Hell's Kitchen). When she was awakened by the sound of gunshots, she realized that she was lost.

Fortunately, there was a small hotel on the street, and she bravely broke in. In order not to cause unnecessary trouble (revised by book friend Baoju), she also sent a text message in the middle of the journey to inform her father to come and pick her up. When the shootout ended, General Ross arrived by car and picked up Betty smoothly.

Sitting in a well-equipped bulletproof car, Betty looked out the window with lingering fear and asked: "Dad, why does a city like New York still have a place like Hell's Kitchen?"

General Ross, who had gray hair and a strong personality, was silent for a while. Just when Betty thought her father would not answer, Ross's deep voice suddenly rang out.

"I will not use arguments such as population migration, urbanization tilt or productivity imbalance. You have to understand that in a country where capital is in power, interests are fundamental! If there is no benefit, the government would rather let it fend for itself. Also, There are some people who are pursuing their own interests in the name of freedom, and that’s one of the main reasons why Hell’s Kitchen is disconnected from New York.”

The naked words made Betty very uncomfortable, but she knew in her heart that this was the cruel truth.

"Has no one thought about changing?"

"Does it need to change?" General Ross asked.

Betty was silent. She lowered her eyelids and said nothing.

"Does it need to change?" The same thinking also happened in Mulgore Hotel.

Kausi was half lying on the sofa, his eyes seemed dull, but in fact he had been thinking about an important issue.

Judging from the timeline, Betty Ross should be at Culver University at this time, accepting the confession of her colleague Leonard Samson and becoming a couple. In order to search for previous experimental data, Hulk Banner also returned to Culver University, and reunited with Betty again, kicking off the climax of the plot of "The Incredible Hulk".

"It seems to have nothing to do with me..."

After carefully recalling the original plot, Kausu had no intention of getting involved. Not to mention that the love-hate relationship between the Hulk, Abomination, and General Ross is really bloody and pale, and even intervening in the research of "Mr. Blue" Samuel Stern will not bring any benefits.

But anyway, Betty Ross's appearance in New York heralds the Hulk's imminent debut.

Hulk……

"Welcome!" Kausi was in a daze, Carrie had gone somewhere to have fun, and Erica had to stand up to greet the guests who had just entered.

"A glass of..." The new guest looked at the price list on the wall, "Light beer!"

This new guest is very strange. From the moment Erica brought the beer to him, he has been sitting there with his head down, not saying a word except for an occasional sip.

Kausu finally made a decision. He withdrew his gaze and planned to notify the company to close the business. Several employees had worked hard for so long and it was time for them to take a vacation...

Ouch, who is this?

A head of messy curly hair, dull and confused eyes, a wrinkled suit and a crimped tie, coupled with sparse stubble and a decadent temperament...

Bruce Banner!

I just decided not to participate in the Hulk plot, so why did this man come to my door?

"Don't worry, I'm just taking advantage of Christmas to see my friends." Seeing the innkeeper staring at him, Banner smiled mockingly and raised his glass towards Kaus, "Now I've seen I’m here, I’ll leave after finishing this glass of wine, I won’t disturb you!”

oh? And this bridge section? Kaus was suddenly interested.

It turns out that the Hulk was so infatuated sometimes? Even if he is hunted to death, he will sneak back to the United States during Christmas just to see his ex-girlfriend from a distance.

This is so many times better than that scumbag Daredevil!

Among Marvel’s messy emotional entanglements, Banner is a rare breath of fresh air. In the main timeline, except for an affair with a widowed sister with ulterior motives during a period of emotional vacuum, he has always been the spokesperson of emotional loyalty, and Betty Ross is also the only real girlfriend. In the parallel universe, Betty finally transformed into the female Red Giant, and finally came together with the Hulk. (The female warrior Kyla from Sakaar only appears in the "Incredible Hulk" timeline.)

"It's very nice here!" Banner probably hadn't chatted with anyone for a long time. He looked around the dim hotel lobby, "Whether it's the decoration style or anything else, I feel very peaceful here, and I don't have any thoughts of... .”

I don’t know why, but Kausu said out of nowhere: “Come and sit more often if you like.”

Banner raised his head in surprise, stared at Kausu's face, and smiled after a while, "Thank you!"

He put a crumpled bill under the cup and stood up to leave.

Just when Banner was about to walk out of the hotel door, Causs, who had hesitated for a long time, finally made a decision. He said: "Bruce Banner, you can stay here!"

Banner's eyes quickly turned wary. He turned around and stared at Kausi, "Who are you? Agent? Killer? Or something else..."

His face was a little distorted, with green lines showing on his skin, but Kausu didn't pay attention. He just walked up to him and said politely: "I am Kausu, the owner of Mulgore Hotel." ·Bradford. My hotel is still short of a waiter and security guard, and the salary is $10 an hour. If you agree, you can start working now!"

"As you can see, I have mutants, killers, and agents in my hotel, and I don't care about one more big green guy."

"As for why I know you..." Kausu smiled, "It's actually very simple!"

"I am a shaman, you can think of this profession as-"

"prophet!"
