My Beauty Variety: Starting from Banshee Town
Chapter 250 Greed arises
"Everyone is like this."
"Without exception, when I see this money, you all have this look on your face."
Colonel Stowe realized that they were not keeping up, so he turned around and walked to Hood, crossing his arms:
"Shocking, right?"
Ethan spread his hands: "Even a billionaire will be shocked when he sees this scene."
"This is the power of money. This is your taxpayer money, used to buy government troops in Afghanistan to buy them guns to protect them from the Taliban."
Colonel Sturt looked at the money in the vault and raised the corners of his mouth:
"The rest are distributed to soldiers so that they can bribe informants and obtain intelligence. We have half of the Afghans to feed."
Just as he spoke, Hood's thief instinct was aroused. He nodded while quickly inspecting the entire safe, including the key points and safety lock structure.
"If there is any unused money, we will transport it back, count the records, and send it to where it belongs for use in the next war."
Colonel Stowe clapped his hands: "Let's go and let these soldiers do their job."
Walking along the small door next to the safe, he passed by a large room with several computers inside, and the monitoring above covered the entire base.
Walking further inside, we came to Colonel Sturt's office.
Sitting on the sofa was a middle-aged man wearing a blue jacket, with a military pistol in the holster on his thigh.
"About the morning."
After Hood glanced at the man, he said to Colonel Sturt: "Do those three soldiers do anything else besides transporting weapons?"
"Like cash?"
"sit down."
Colonel Sturt waved his hand and sat down on the chair behind his desk: "We don't use trucks to transport cash, that's all the work of armored vehicles."
"Most of the trucks were confiscated weapons, guns destined for destruction by federal agencies, AK47s, military M4s and the like."
Hood shook his head, pulled out a chair and sat down:
"This is really good news. Now the Redbones are as armed as the Taliban."
Ethan took two steps back and stood together with the black man who stood up from the sofa. The two nodded to each other, and Ethan smelled a vague smell of blood on him.
Colonel Stowe picked up the water glass in front of him and took a sip: "Excuse me, Redbone Gang?"
"They are the group of people who robbed your truck this morning." Hood looked around and said, "They are a tribal gang from a nearby settlement."
Colonel Stur pursed his lips and slowly turned the ring on his hand.
Hood focused his gaze on him: "Did they take away the list of items in those boxes?"
"Of course."
"Great, could you please have someone print out a list for me?"
"Chief, thank you very much for coming, and I appreciate what you and your staff did this morning."
Colonel Sturt interrupted Hood, twirled the ring expressionlessly and said:
"These Redbones bastards killed my people and stole stuff from the car, and now it's become a military issue."
"The Naval Criminal Investigative Service, the FBI and the Bureau of Indian Affairs will conduct a joint investigation later."
"Trust me, you don't want to get involved."
The refusal was already obvious, but in view of the conflict with the Red Bone Gang, Hood still wanted to try harder:
"Colonel, you are right, but those people will enter my town at any time with those guns."
"If something like that happens, you just do your job and kill them."
Stowe was a little impatient and opened his hands:
"Allow me to be blunt. I have three dead Marines here and I don't have time to waste time with a self-righteous Sheriff."
"You do your job, and I'll do mine, understand?"
This was already an order to expel guests. Hood gritted his teeth and stood up:
"I understand, thank you for your time."
"You're welcome, Captain Murphy will send you out." Colonel Sturt nodded to the black man standing next to Ethan and opened the documents in his hand.
The two of them, led by Captain Murphy, walked to where the police car was parked.
Along the way, Hood calmly looked at the surveillance cameras around him.
After leaving the Genoa base, the police car drove quietly on the road, both of them thinking about their own things.
Ethan is worried about the Red Bone Gang's robbery of arms. Now is the critical period for Nora to compete for chief. He doesn't want to see anything out of control in the Chino tribe.
If George Hunter gets involved with the Redbone Gang, it will cause great trouble for him and Nora.
When money and force are combined, the destructive power is staggering.
Just as he was thinking about what to do, Hood stopped the car on the side of the road:
"You're thinking the same thing as me, right?"
"ah?"
Hood's eyes shined brighter than ever before: "Stop pretending, it's the money in the vault."
"You want to take action on that vault?"
Ethan reached out and touched Hood's forehead: "I don't have a fever."
"I was serious."
Hood slapped his hand away, took out his cigarettes, and handed one to Ethan: "As long as this order is completed, it will be enough for us to retire."
Seeing his serious look, Ethan took the cigarette and lit it:
"You saw the guards inside just now. It is estimated that we will be shot to death before we even get close to the vault."
Hood scratched his face and said helplessly:
"I haven't lived enough, so of course I won't choose to attack by force."
Ethan chewed his cigarette: "We went in all the way just now. Their security is military grade, and so is the internal network. Is there anything else we can do?"
The money in that vault was worth millions. Of course he was interested, but judging from the current situation, it wasn't a question of whether the risk was high or not, but that he had no chance to take action.
Hood took out his mobile phone with a smile on his face:
"Have you forgotten that we have a friend who can hack into military networks?"
After speaking, he dialed the phone and pressed the speakerphone at the same time.
"What kind of mother would bother Fake looking for me?"
Jabber's dissatisfied voice could be heard. He was still asleep. Ethan looked at his watch and saw that it was already past one in the afternoon.
"it's me."
"I know it's you. If you have anything to say, tell me quickly. I still want to sleep."
"Don't sleep, let's get together at Davis Bar tonight."
"Fake, I don't want it. You're definitely not going to do anything good with me. I have to perform at the club in the evening. In a short time, I don't want to go to that shabby place that smells like cow dung again."
Ethan answered the phone: "Even if this place that smells like cow dung has a business worth seven or eight million in cash, wouldn't you want to come here?"
"Ethan?" Jabo's voice suddenly sobered up:
"Seven or eight million in cash, what are you talking about?"
"Hello?"
Ethan didn't answer him and hung up the phone.
Throwing the phone to Hood: "Don't worry, you can see him at night."
