My Beauty Variety: Starting from Banshee Town
Chapter 32 Escape
Ethan stayed awake, and when he heard Ollie's shouts, he quickly patted Blake awake.
On the water outside, a small motorboat was driving slowly, avoiding debris.
The motorboat was driven by a bald middle-aged man, whose burly body made people shudder. There was a black-haired woman standing next to him, who seemed to be searching for something.
"How is that possible! Those are my parents."
Blake was ecstatic and changed her destination again and again. She no longer had any hope. She didn't expect to see her family appear in front of her in the end. She didn't know how hard they worked to search for her.
She covered her mouth with both hands, tears instantly filled her eyes, and then she slapped the glass curtain wall excitedly.
It's a pity that the curtain wall is too thick and the distance is too far, so the sound can't be transmitted at all.
The motorboat drew an arc and drove to the other side.
The M1911 had been soaked in water. Ethan was afraid of exploding the barrel and did not dare to use it. He took a few steps back anxiously and jumped forward as hard as he could. The glass curtain wall did not move at all, but instead affected his injuries and made him jump.
Ben Taylor took the pistol from him and banged it against the curtain wall, but it had no effect. He could only helplessly watch the motorboat go away. Suddenly, Blake remembered something and grabbed Ollie excitedly.
"Today at the electronics store, I remember you picked up a laser pointer, right?"
Ollie's depressed face suddenly became excited. He quickly pulled the rope around his neck, and a black laser pointer was pulled out from his clothes.
Blake took the laser pointer, took a deep breath, and flicked the switch.
A green beam of light quietly shot out, penetrated the glass curtain wall, and landed on the motorboat.
As Blake's hand kept shaking, the laser beam kept sliding on the motorboat.
"God bless, see you soon."
Under Ollie's prayer, Blake's parents turned around at the same time and looked at where the laser beam was coming from.
Blake happily jumped directly on Ethan, wrapped her long legs around his waist, and kept waving her arms at her parents.
Ethan's expression changed, he held her thighs firmly with both hands, and took a breath of air.
This guy clamped his legs together, which almost made Ethan see stars.
Blake sheepishly stuck out his tongue at Ethan, trying to get off of him.
Just as they were celebrating happily, the whole building suddenly shook, knocking them to the ground.
The building suddenly sank, and the water level outside the glass curtain wall was rising sharply. It rose to a height of two to three meters in a short time.
Before anyone could react, the glass curtain wall could not withstand the pressure and exploded with a "bang", and sea water poured in.
Blake was instantly washed away by the sea water. The water level on the floor was rising rapidly. Ollie floated past him with his hands splashing the water.
Ethan reached out and grabbed Ollie, pushing him towards the fire escape.
Ben Taylor also swam over in panic, but Blake was nowhere to be seen.
"You go up first, I'll go find Blake."
The rolling seawater had already submerged the fire door, and Ethan held his breath and dove into the water.
Ben Taylor wanted to help, but looking at Ollie with tears on his face, he kicked the guardrail in self-reproach and pulled his brother up to run up.
After searching underwater for a while, Ethan couldn't see Blake. In desperation, he surfaced.
At this time, there was a crash in the distance, and he swam over quickly.
Blake was trapped in an office cubicle, banging her hands against the glass.
Seeing Ethan appear, Blake, who had become desperate, stopped in surprise.
Ethan swam in front of the glass, waved his elbow fiercely, and brought up a string of water splashes, which hit the glass. The thick tempered glass did not move at all.
Blake shook his head at him, took out a small flashlight from his trouser pocket, turned it on, waved at Ethan and pointed under the water.
Ethan nodded and followed Blake down.
The office debris originally placed on the floor was rolled up by the sea water, and the compartment door was stuck tightly. No wonder Blake couldn't escape.
Under the push and pull of the two people, the debris gradually loosened.
Just as Ethan was exerting his strength, someone suddenly slapped his feet, which scared him so much that he almost choked.
Looking back, he saw a bald man swimming behind him.
Blake saw the person coming and gestured to Ethan, and the three of them quickly surfaced.
At this time, the water surface is very close to the ceiling.
Ethan pressed his face against the ceiling, breathing heavily, and the water splashed to his ears.
The bald man hit the glass a few times with his fist and was pulled back by Ethan.
"The glass cannot be broken. We just tried it and the door was stuck. We have to find a way to remove the debris."
The bald man nodded solemnly, and after Blake made the gesture, they dived together.
This time, thanks to the efforts of the two strange men, the debris at the door slowly moved. After enough space was made, Blake flashed and swam out like a mermaid.
Ethan waved his hands to let the two of them follow him, and then swam towards the fire escape.
After finally seeing the light, Ethan surfaced first.
Blake and her father also emerged from beside him one after another. They didn't care to talk and breathed in the fresh air greedily.
"Blake, Ethan, is that you?" Ollie's surprised shout came from outside the fire door.
"Yes, we are all fine, my dad is here too."
The water level had reached their waists. Ethan and the others moved the water with their hands and struggled to walk outside.
Ben Taylor happily came over with Ollie in his arms, and Ollie threw himself sideways towards Blake, tears still flowing down his face.
"Great, I thought I would never see you again."
"Don't worry, we will be fine." Blake hugged Ollie tightly and smiled happily.
Listening to the creaking of the floor and watching the water level continue to rise, Ethan interrupted their celebration, "The building continues to collapse. We are not safe yet. We have to find a way to get out of here."
"Be careful and keep an eye on it."
Black's father shouted a warning, pulling them aside.
With a loud noise, the motorboat crashed through the glass curtain wall with an indomitable momentum and drove quickly to them.
"Hurry, come up quickly."
Blake's mother kept urging them to get on the boat, and everyone quickly climbed onto the motorboat. After spinning around in it, they quickly left along the gap they had just made.
Two days later, Ethan was standing on a hillside with a coat on his face, looking at downtown San Francisco from a distance.
The sea water has slowly receded, and countless large and small ships are shuttled inside, constantly looking for survivors.
Watching the sunset, he threw away the cigarette butt and limped back into the tent.
A gust of sea breeze took the opportunity to get in, causing goose bumps all over Blake's body. She rolled her eyes at Ethan and pulled the quilt to cover the huge thing on her chest. Satisfied, the sea breeze got out of the tent before Ethan closed the zipper.
"Are you going back to Pennsylvania tomorrow?" Blake reluctantly picked at the splint on his thigh.
"Yes, your father helped me find a cabin for my flight tomorrow morning through some connections."
Ethan waved his hand and patted lightly, causing ripples to appear on Blake's round buttocks.
"Then we have to hurry up." Blake held his fingers in his mouth and reached out to press Ethan onto the inflatable mattress.
"Old rules, I can move."
