My love game is too abstract

#161 - I haven't eaten pork, but I want to see pigs run.

“It is easy to know a man's face but not his heart.”

Yarrow sighed. Just thinking about Boden's gaze made goosebumps rise on his arms.

So, his bad attitude towards Blanche wasn't because of her character, but because he simply wasn't interested in women.

While he was feeling a bit disgusted, Serena tugged at his clothes.

“Let's go sit over there.”

She pointed to an empty seat at the end of a long table not far away. No one was there.

Yarrow accompanied her and sat down, but unexpectedly, a young couple sat down next to them as soon as they did.

However, they didn't pay much attention to them, simply greeting them briefly before starting to chat amongst themselves.

Although they lowered their voices, snippets of their conversation inevitably reached Yarrow and Serena.

Girl: “It's so hot today, and there are so many people. I wouldn't have come if you hadn't begged me.”

Boy: “Okay, okay, here, wipe off your sweat. It's almost over. Here, have some drink to quench your thirst.”

Girl: “Tsk, this milk tea is awful.”

Boy: “Yes, yes, it's not as good as my baby's milk.”

Girl: “Ugh, don't say such things in broad daylight! If you keep teasing me, I won't let you drink anymore.”

Boy: “Alright, I won't say it. But can you squeeze out a little more for me tonight?”

They communicated without any reservations, embarrassing the two people sitting next to them.

Yarrow picked up his teacup and took a sip. The light taste of the tea made him subconsciously look at Serena's full chest.

But Serena caught this little glance. She immediately raised her hand to cover her chest and glared at Yarrow.

“What are you looking at!”

He put down the teacup and said calmly:

“I haven't eaten pork, but I want to see how the pig runs.”

Serena reacted for a moment before realizing what he meant, and immediately stomped on his shoe in embarrassment and anger.

“I won't let you look!” She turned her flushed face to the side.

“It doesn't matter, the last time was enough for me to savor for a lifetime.” Yarrow chuckled. “I have to remember it every day.”

“You… you forget about it!” Serena pushed him forcefully.

Just thinking about the feeling Yarrow left on her body before made her face burn.

“I can't forget it. If you feel like you're at a disadvantage, do you want me to let you touch me back?” Yarrow teased, “I'm very generous, you can touch me however you want.”

“Who wants to touch you!”

Serena shouted, suddenly realizing that her voice was a bit loud. Everyone around her looked at her in surprise, and she hurriedly sat down in embarrassment, glaring at Yarrow.

Yarrow rolled his eyes slightly.

He looked around boredly, and then saw a boy wearing glasses sitting across the table, writing and drawing in a notebook. He didn't seem to be here with a female companion.

Judging by his appearance, he didn't seem to be here for the tea party.

“Are you alone?” Yarrow couldn't help but ask out of curiosity.

The bespectacled boy noticed that he was being asked, looked at him, raised his glasses, and nodded.

“I guess I am alone.”

“Didn't they say that you can't attend this gathering alone?” Yarrow asked in surprise, and immediately moved his chair closer, wanting to ask for advice: “I wanted to come alone before, but I couldn't. How did you do it, classmate? Teach me.”

“It's not that much trouble. Although I am alone, I brought a female companion.” The bespectacled boy said seriously.

This sentence puzzled Yarrow.

Then he saw the bespectacled boy reach out and pick up a clay figure that Yarrow hadn't even noticed on the table.

It was a figure of a cat-eared girl with twin tails.

“This is my female companion, Alice,” the bespectacled boy said seriously. “The academy is very tolerant. As long as you insist that this is your girlfriend, they will acknowledge it.”

“That's what I did. Did you learn it?”

He picked up the notebook on the table again.

“Look, I was drawing a portrait of her just now.”

Yarrow: “…”

“Then, then I wish you happiness,”

He sat back with a twitching mouth. Not long after, the host walked onto the flower garden's platform, clapped his hands, and shouted loudly:

“Welcome everyone to this tea party! Although it's a bit cliché, I don't think there's anything wrong with saying that love has brought us together here. All we have to do is leave a sweet memory of him or her in our lives today, here, isn't it?”

The opening ended, and applause rang out throughout the venue.

“I wouldn't have come if it weren't to avoid that little bit of rent,” Yarrow thought.

“Alright, please allow me to interrupt your conversations for a moment. In order to further enhance your feelings at this tea party, please engage in some small interactions with your partners. We have also invited students from the News Agency to record the intimate interactions and publish them in the Golden Laurel Tree Weekly to preserve the most beautiful memories for everyone.”

Two News Agency students came out carrying recording cameras.

“Now, please, everyone, no matter which side you are on, feed your partner a piece of dessert.” The host said.

Couples smiled and picked up the desserts on the table to feed their other halves.

Yarrow and Serena sat quietly, both turning their faces away, not looking at each other. Neither of them made a move first.

But it felt like this part wouldn't end so quickly. The young couple sitting next to them had already fed each other several pieces.

In the end, Yarrow couldn't help but ask first: “Serena, which one do you want to eat?”

“Anything.” Serena said softly.

Yarrow pinched a pink macaron, holding his other hand underneath it, and brought it to Serena's face.

“Here.” He said.

Serena turned her head slightly, but her eyes were still looking to the side. She bit down, but bit Yarrow's fingertip.

“Are you a bear or a dog?” Yarrow slandered her.

Serena quickly released her mouth, then bit the macaron and snatched it from Yarrow's hand, swallowing it after only chewing it twice.

The moist feeling of Serena's lips still lingered on his finger. Before he could do anything, Serena suddenly pulled his hand over and used a handkerchief to wipe away the saliva she had left behind.

“What, are you afraid I'll lick it?” Yarrow said.

“You…” Serena said in embarrassment, throwing his hand away and not looking at him again.

“Getting angry over this.” Yarrow thought.

But after a moment, Serena pulled him again, then pinched a cookie with one hand, holding the other hand underneath it, and brought it to his face.

“If you dare to bite back, you're dead.” She didn't forget to threaten him.

Yarrow shrugged and leaned over to take a bite of the cookie.

Serena was about to put it back when he said, “Hey, I haven't finished eating yet.”

As he spoke, he leaned over and took another small bite.

“Can't you just eat it all in one bite!” Serena said.

“This is such a rare opportunity, I can't bear to let it end so quickly.” Yarrow said.

Serena stuffed the rest of the cookie into his mouth, snorted, and clapped her hands.

“So impatient.” Yarrow muttered as he chewed the cookie.
