Everyone at the table was stunned and looked at them.
“That, that Miss Lulula, you are being, being a bit…”
Looking at the crying Lulula in her arms, Serena was somewhat incoherent.
The little fat snake then got up from her arms, wiped the tears from the corners of her red eyes, and sobbed:
“I’m, I’m sorry… because, because other than my mother, no one has ever been so kind to me, so I, I…”
“What a miserable snake,” Yarrow couldn’t help but say in his heart.
“Is, is that so?”
Serena smiled awkwardly, looking at the still sobbing little snake. She hesitated for a moment, then reached out and touched her head.
“Although I can’t replace your mother, if you need help or are in a bad mood, you can come to me anytime, and I will do my best to take care of you.”
Lulula nodded while sobbing.
She seemed to have untied some knots in her heart and began to eat properly.
At this time, Ji Xiaofei suddenly said, “Lulula calls Serena ‘Mom,’ so is Yarrow ‘Dad’?”
“Pfft!”
Yarrow was severely choked by the ginger beer he had just drunk.
The spoon that Serena had just picked up also fell back into the bowl, and the soup splashed out.
Taking a towel to wipe his mouth, Yarrow couldn’t help but glare at Ji Xiaofei: “Eat your chicken, what nonsense are you talking about? How did I become the dad?”
“Because Yarrow is the only boy here, so only Yarrow can be the dad, right?”
Ji Xiaofei said while biting her spoon.
“You think we’re playing house.”
“Ji Xiaofei, you can’t just make jokes like that,” Serena said with a slightly red face, wiping the soup that had splashed on the table with a handkerchief.
“Okay.” Ji Xiaofei tilted her head and continued to concentrate on the lobster on her plate.
“Ah, children are so innocent,” Tao Hu sighed helplessly.
Yarrow couldn’t help but glance at Serena, only to find that she was also looking at him. Their eyes met and then quickly looked away.
Zexia forcefully bit off a piece of lamb chop, chewing it, her eyes looking at the ceiling, not knowing what she was still thinking about.
After dinner, Yarrow took Lulula upstairs and opened the door to the empty room.
“You’ll live here from now on. The bathroom is next door. Put your dirty clothes in the basket every day, and go outside to the clothesline to collect them the next day. If you need anything, tell me or Serena,”
Lulula walked in, her eyes widening slightly as she looked at the somewhat empty but very clean room.
“Here?”
“It’s a bit small, but this is the last room in the house. What’s left is only like this,” Yarrow said, thinking she disliked it being small.
“No, I, I thought I was going to live in the one outside the house,” Lulula said softly, glancing at him.
“That’s a chicken coop.”
Yarrow said speechlessly.
“Okay, just live here well. Don’t worry about anything else. I won’t go back on my word about your bloodline. Don’t worry,” Yarrow said.
“You rest first, I’ll go now.”
Just as he was about to leave, Lulula grabbed the corner of his clothes.
The little fat snake had a complicated expression and said cautiously: “Then, what do I need to do?”
“This…” Yarrow thought about it, but there really wasn’t anything for her to do. After all, he only took her in to get her ability, and now that he had money, having her around wasn’t a big deal.
“There’s nothing for you to do. Just help with the housework usually.”
“Just like that?” Lulula looked incredulous.
“Then what else do you want to do?”
“I, I thought you wanted me to do that something…” the little snake muttered.
“That something?”
Lulula choked. She only had a vague understanding of some of the interests of humans, but she felt that Yarrow had turned her into this appearance with some ill intentions.
“Okay, I’m leaving if there’s nothing else.”
Yarrow turned to leave.
“Also!”
Lulula suddenly said again. Yarrow turned his head and looked at this somewhat awkward little snake.
She tilted her head and said softly: “Still, still thank you for taking me in. I… I haven’t had a home for a long time…”
“Are these all of them?”
“Yes, basically.”
In the study, under Yarrow’s guidance, Serena swiped through the photos in the phone album, all of which were taken by Yarrow for her in the secret realm.
There were landscape photos, as well as some of little elves and animals.
“How is it? Is it okay?” Yarrow asked.
Serena nodded.
“Yes, I can get a lot of useful information from it, and the clarity is higher than I expected.”
“Of course, it’s 42 million pixels.”
Serena looked through it for a while, then looked up at Yarrow and said:
“Then, what about the Wishing Pot you mentioned?”
Yarrow took the Wishing Pot out of his backpack. Serena took it and examined it carefully.
“It doesn’t feel special,” Serena said, placing it on the table. The crystal surface shone brightly under the candlelight.
“That’s because we haven’t found the way to use it yet. We only know that if you want to make a wish, you must first collect something into it,” Yarrow said.
He wasn’t in a hurry to crack this pot now. Anyway, he had already made contact with the system, and according to the description, there was a Wish Spirit limitation, so it shouldn’t be possible to fulfill too big of a wish in a short time.
Given enough time, he would eventually find a way to make the genie inside appear.
“By the way, Serena, do you have any wishes you want to fulfill?” Yarrow asked.
“Me?” Serena thought for a while, “It’s just that my mom and dad are healthy and safe.”
“Such a traditional wish.”
“Of course. If I were bolder, I would still hope to become a Potions Alchemy teacher at Hogwarts School of Magic. This has always been my dream,” Serena said with an expectant expression.
“You can do that even without the Wishing Pot, right?” Yarrow said.
Even White was amazed by Serena’s potion talent.
“Then what about you? What wish do you want?” Serena looked at Yarrow.
Yarrow straightened his expression and said with a calm face:
“I wish for world peace.”
“Wow, what a great wish,” Serena said flatly.
“Okay, actually I want to live a boring, extravagant, and decadent life in a luxurious seaside villa,” he said yearningly.
“That’s a really simple wish,” Serena said.
Then she lowered her head and said softly, “Actually, I still have a wish…”
“Oh? What is it? Tell me?” Yarrow asked, interestedly leaning closer.
Serena glanced at him, turned her head, and snorted softly:
“I’m not telling you.”
Yarrow yawned, came out of the toilet, and planned to go back to his room to sleep.
Just as he walked past Zexia’s room, the door suddenly opened, and the silver dragon in her pajamas stood at the door, looking at him.
“Zexia, is there something you need this late?”
Before Yarrow could react, she suddenly reached out and grabbed his collar, pulling him into the room.
He was pushed onto the bed and had just propped himself up when he saw Zexia slamming the door shut behind him.
“You, what do you want to do?”
Yarrow noticed that Zexia’s face was a bit off. He remembered that she had been looking gloomy like this during dinner.
“Could this dragon be having her period?” He felt a little uneasy.
Zexia stood by the window, looking down at him with her chin raised.
“Zexia, you, you better not…” Yarrow shrank back worriedly.
“Shut up!” Zexia glared at him fiercely.
“This Queen will punish you.”
