My queen is rebelling!

#10 - The Queen and the Prime Minister

The time to slip into the shadows was almost over, and Cohen didn't linger in the study, quietly returning to the teaching room.

The Queen sat quietly in the study, seemingly waiting for someone.

Before long, hurried footsteps thudded, and the Prime Minister, looking worried, rushed into the study, sighed softly as he looked at the mess in the room:

"What's going on? What did that Cliff do to offend you?"

Her Majesty the Queen flipped through the documents on the table and replied calmly:

"I told Father, they need to be taught a lesson."

The Prime Minister's eyes widened: "Did you mean chopping off the arm of the eldest son of the Southern Grand Duke and crippling a legendary high-level Transcendent? Didn't I remind you to be mindful of your actions?"

The Queen nodded earnestly and said:

"So they are still alive."

Angus's expression stiffened slightly, and he sighed:

"I've already found out that it was someone from 'Black Tomb' who did it."

Angus felt the air around him grow colder, and quickly said:

"'Black Tomb' has been a bit restless these days, it seems like they're planning something big, you shouldn't go looking for trouble with them for now."

The Queen was silent for a moment, her eyelids drooping slightly:

"His Majesty is still waiting for me, I won't keep Father for tea."

The Prime Minister stared blankly at his daughter, whom he thought he knew well but now seemed so unfamiliar, his voice turning cold:

"I have something to tell you, I just received a letter from Archmage Viktor of the Sanctuary—he can't come due to some matter, and has sent his disciple instead."

The Queen stared fixedly at the Prime Minister, without saying a word.

The Prime Minister continued:

"Viktor and I have been classmates for many years, he wouldn't break his promise without a reason, but now that he can't come, it can only mean one thing."

The Prime Minister paused slightly, and said slowly, one word at a time:

"Someone is putting pressure on him!"

Although the voice was not loud, it was filled with horror.

To be able to threaten a Sanctuary Archmage in a powerful empire, one could imagine the terrifying and desperate force behind Cohen's attack.

Angus cast his gaze outside the door, his voice lowered:

"His 'Memory Ice Seal' cannot, and dares not, be lifted!"

The Queen was silent for a long time, her reply devoid of any emotion:

"He is your Majesty."

Angus was stunned for a few seconds, his voice suddenly filled with anger:

"But he is just a six-year-old child now! Are you going to watch our Angraean family be buried alive for a six-year-old child!"

The Queen's voice was soft, but exceptionally firm:

"He won't be six years old forever, it's just a matter of teaching him for another ten years, and this time I will teach him better, he will become an excellent king."

Angus felt like he was going crazy, an invisible super mastermind had obviously set his sights on the Corleone royal family, and his daughter insisted on going against the tide, he was now regretting why he pushed her to the position of Queen three years ago!

Angus suppressed his emotions, his voice softening, and said:

"Haven't you always wanted to join 'Cobalt Soul Academy'? I have a lead."

Hearing "Cobalt Soul Academy", the Queen clearly showed interest, her inquiring gaze turned to Angus.

Cobalt Soul Academy is a sect created by the "God of Books and Knowledge, Ain Wisdom", whose core philosophy is "True power lies in understanding the world".

Those teachers, priests, and warrior monks who are inspired by truth and knowledge spend their lives in the Cobalt Soul Academy seeking knowledge, where there is the most vast, comprehensive, and ancient knowledge and heritage in the Pan-Continent.

However, only those true "seekers of knowledge" will receive an active invitation from the Cobalt Soul Academy to become their official students.

Her Majesty the Queen, who has a fanatical obsession with ancient magic arrays, is naturally very interested in joining the Cobalt Soul Academy, but unfortunately the Cobalt Soul Academy is too mysterious. Apart from the "Scripture Depots" scattered throughout the continent, which are their peripheral organizations, there are very few clues about the core institutions of the academy.

Angus continued:

"A distinguished person has agreed to recommend you! His family has a long-term cooperative relationship with the Cobalt Soul Academy, with him as a guarantor, a letter of admission is not difficult at all."

The Queen's eyes turned slightly cold, and she asked stiffly:

"The distinguished person you speak of, wouldn't it be a prince or grandson of some empire or kingdom?"

Only the five great empires and the royal families of those kingdoms with thousands of years of heritage could have long-term cooperation with the "Cobalt Soul Academy".

Angus nodded slightly, not denying it.

The Queen smiled coldly and asked very directly: "What are the conditions?"

Angus hesitated and replied: "He needs to develop his power to help him gain more influence in his country, so he hopes you can become his right-hand man… and he promised that if Effien really has any changes in the future, he can protect our Angraean family!"

The Queen's eyes turned cold, and she asked coldly:

"Father, the distinguished person you spoke of, wouldn't it be Saxon Cromwell, the Third Prince of the Ceylon Kingdom!"

Angus's face showed an awkward expression, and he said:

"He only wants you to be his right-hand man, and didn't make any other excessive demands. Besides, that incident back then was also a misunderstanding! You beat him up, and as a dignified heir of a great kingdom, he not only didn't hold it against you, but is willing to help you, why do you have so much hostility?"

The misunderstanding that Angus mentioned was when she participated in the "Pan-National Aristocratic Martial Arts Festival" five years ago, a young nobleman was obsessed with Adelle's beauty, and his lust clouded his mind and he wanted to force himself on her, and she taught him a lesson.

Later, she found out that the young nobleman was actually Saxon Cromwell, the Third Prince of the Ceylon Kingdom, the third in line to the throne.

At that time, Cohen's father was on the throne, and the national strength of Effien was booming, and Saxon was at fault, so the Ceylon Kingdom did not pursue the matter deeply.

From then on, Saxon became entangled with Adelle, often encouraging the King of Ceylon to propose marriage to the Duchy of Effien, but after being explicitly rejected by Cohen's father, he gave up the idea.

Regarding Cohen's previous attack, Saxon was also a suspect of Adelle.

After all, it was rumored that Saxon was furious after hearing that Adelle had married Cohen.

Faced with her father's suggestion, Adelle used only one sentence to completely dispel the Prime Minister's thoughts:

"If he pesters me again, I will kill him."

Hearing this not-so-unexpected reply, Angus's face showed a look of decline, and he said weakly:

"Since that's the case, then you should teach your student well! Let me remind you that the Northwest Regional Exchange Meeting is only a year or two away, and this time our Florence is the host city. When the time comes, all forces will gather, and it will be a mixed bag. Those people will definitely not let go of this opportunity, you don't have much time left, so take care of yourself!"

The Queen returned to the classroom, and Cohen was focusing on reading a book.

The Queen walked behind him, the title of the book was "Pan-Continental Transcendent Job Guide".

The Queen's heart stirred, and she asked:

"Is Your Majesty preparing to take on a transcendent profession?"

Cohen quickly replied:

"I have been delayed for a long time, and I want to take on a profession as soon as possible."

The Queen asked: "What transcendent profession does Your Majesty want to take on?"

Cohen asked back: "Does Sister have any recommendations?"

The Queen replied very quickly, obviously having considered it before:

"Paladin, the late king was a powerful Paladin. The royal family has a complete Oath of the Ancients Paladin lineage."

Paladins rely on making oath contracts with the gods to gain power. According to the type of oath, they are divided into three lineages: Oath of Devotion, Oath of the Ancients, and Oath of Vengeance.

Cohen pretended to think, and shook his head after a moment, saying:

"I want to try other professions first, can I?"

The Queen frowned slightly and said:

"What does Your Majesty want to try?"

Cohen said a little embarrassedly:

"Can I try them all? Can Sister help me recruit more different types of professionals into the palace? I want to try them all to see which profession is suitable for me."

The Queen smoothed her drooping hair, inadvertently revealing her charming demeanor, hesitated for a moment, and slowly nodded:

"That's also an idea. What kind of professional Transcendent does Your Majesty want?"

Cohen picked up the book and began to read:

"Assassin, Staff Master, Boxer, Rope Master, Elven Ranger, Gladiator, Swordsman, Knife Fighter, Shield Warrior, Monk…"

Cohen rattled off more than a dozen professions.

The Queen frowned slightly, seeing Cohen's enthusiasm, she didn't want to discourage him, and nodded lightly:

"Okay, tomorrow I will let these people wait for you in the martial arts field, I hope Your Majesty can study hard."

Cohen's eyes showed joy, and he muttered to himself—knife, sword, staff, shield, bow and arrow… almost ten weapons, and then get a bottle of dragon blood, that profession should be able to take on!"
