Mysterious city
Chapter 195 Bodhi Verse
"Why can't I move?"
Compared to this unfamiliar environment, Jiang Zhe felt even more terrified because he still couldn't control his body.
After all, for any adult with normal intelligence, the right to control one's own body is far more important than being inexplicably transported to another environment.
"Why do I--"
Just when Jiang Zhe kept asking questions in his mind one after another, a voice suddenly sounded, stopping Jiang Zhe from continuing to go crazy.
"Good boy, why do you have to worry about who you are?"
If Jiang Zhe's memory still exists, it is not difficult to find that the voice that suddenly appeared in his mind at this moment is the voice coming from the magic core of the "Magic Mountain"!
The strange thing is that even though Jiang Zhe now doesn't know who the owner of this voice is, and even though he originally felt very frightened and anxious, the moment this mysterious voice sounded, Jiang Zhe suddenly calmed down and no longer sounded like Like a reckless kindergarten kid, he kept venting his inner restlessness.
Somehow, although it was very unbelievable, the fact was this - Jiang Zhe was willing to listen to that voice and continue talking.
The mysterious voice paused obviously after seeing that Jiang Zhe no longer continued to make noise in his mind.
Even though he didn't make any laughter, whoever felt the pause of the mysterious voice at this moment could feel the satisfaction hidden in the silent calm of that guy.
He was undoubtedly very satisfied with Jiang Zhe's "obedience".
"Good boy, human life is like an ant, fragile and short-lived, and will disappear in the blink of an eye."
"So, why do you have to worry about such boring questions as 'Who am I?'"
"Anyway, human life is fleeting. If 'you' are 'you', or if 'you' are not 'you', is there anything worth worrying about?"
"Instead of worrying about such boring problems, why not leave this unnecessary anxiety behind and find a scene?"
The mysterious voice spoke at length in Jiang Zhe's mind, looking as if it was an expert or an outsider giving a speech.
Of course, nine out of ten truly worldly experts will not engage in such things as giving speeches.
In short, to a normal person, this guy's words would tell him that he was talking nonsense without even using his brain.
If "I" is no longer "I", then what's the point of living for me?
In other words, all the people in this world, no, all living things, are desperately trying to continue their lives, even if they are just lingering, even if they are very tired, they are still doing it to keep "me", that is, to keep themselves alive. ?
If "I" is no longer "I", then this life and this world should have no meaning to me.
Of course, from a certain perspective, the "pattern" of this idea is a bit small.
After all, there are still many people in this world who do not live for their "self".
For example, those great men will always willingly choose to sacrifice themselves for the lives of others or a better quality of life. Then this is not just living for "the self".
Putting this aside, after all, the level of thinking of ordinary people cannot reach those great men who are willing to sacrifice themselves for others and say, "If I don't go to hell, who will?"
From some more mystical perspectives, such as Buddhism and Taoism, of course, there is no intention to say that Buddhism and Taoism are purely metaphysics, or to look down upon these two religions.
But what the mysterious man said just now is to a great extent consistent with the two religions of "Buddhism and Taoism", and even has the meaning of combining the two religions.
Let's start with Buddhism. It is one of the three major religions in the world and has an extremely large number of believers.
To put it simply, if we want to talk about the purpose and central idea of Buddhism, if we can sum it up in one word, it is "heart".
To sum it up in two words, it is "let go".
To sum it up in three words, it is "empty after all".
What does it mean? Human life is very small and short, so we must "see through" it.
Not to mention seeing through everything in the world, at least you have to "see through your own mind."
In this way, your obsession with many things will be "let go".
With fewer obsessions, people will become more open-minded and cheerful, at least they will no longer be bothered by meaningless thoughts in the world, and they will no longer be entangled in trivial matters in the world.
Being able to do this will basically transform an entry-level, qualified Buddhist into an excellent "Buddhist disciple."
Once you reach this state, you may have a sudden enlightenment and understand: "Oh, it turns out that those distracting thoughts that I cared about before, those things related to 'me', are so boring."
"Let go of those things, and I will be as happy as a god, and I will soar!"
After completing this step, you have reached the state of "ultimate emptiness".
After all, in the eyes of a "good Buddhist", all the trivial matters in this world are meaningless and have nothing to do with oneself.
After putting aside all distracting thoughts, does it still matter whether "I" is "me" or not, or how "I" live?
In short, the Buddha said, "All appearances are false." Everything is false and empty, and there is no need to care or worry about it.
As for the "I" question, are there any questions?
Is it still important?
As stated in the very famous "Bodhi Verses", "Bodhi has no tree, and the mirror is not a stand."
There was no Bodhi tree or a platform as bright as a mirror.
"Buddha nature is always peaceful, where is the dust!"
As long as the nature is empty, there will be no dust anywhere!
"The body is like a Bodhi tree, and the mind is like a mirror."
The meaning of this sentence is that the body of human beings, or sentient beings, is a "Bodhi tree" of enlightenment, and the minds of sentient beings are the so-called "mirror stand".
Skip the middle sentence, and return to the following poem: "Bodhi has no tree, and the mirror is not a stand." Finally, the main theme is named - "There is nothing in the beginning, how can it be stained with dust!"
Of course, there are more inscrutable sentences later, but at this point, the whole poem has already used just a few sentences to name the central idea - that is, no matter what is there or not, in the end, it will be "all four elements are empty". !
Isn’t this idea completely consistent with the central idea spoken by the mysterious voice?
From "heart" to "letting go" to "everything is empty", the meaning revealed everywhere is that you must let go of the concept of "me" and be emptied of any worldly trivial matters related to "me" in order to become a Buddha. , go to the "Elysian World"!
