Mystery: Chaos Path

#102 - The strange impression increased

Just like those conspiracies about the witches, Roland clearly knew what would happen in Backlund next, even better than him.

Medici's gaze returned to Klein. This little fellow, connected to the Sefirah Castle and completely fooled by Roland, was genuinely worried about the situation in Backlund. However, his teacher, who knew the whole truth, clearly had no intention of telling him.

"How nasty!" Medici curled his lips, then laughed and said, "Why should I tell you these things? Unless..."

His gaze fell on Roland, and he said, "Beg me!"

He likes to play the innocent sheep, so let him continue!

Klein was obviously stunned for a second. He didn't mind asking the red-clothed gentleman, who seemed to be an angel, but the other party was clearly not here for him.

Klein looked at Roland and then at Medici, suddenly realizing something—Mr. Lucifer and the red-clothed gentleman might really have a bad relationship.

Roland raised an eyebrow, met Medici's blood-red eyes for a moment, then curled his lips and directly grabbed Klein beside him, saying unhappily, "Beg for what? Sherlock, let's go. If he doesn't want to say, then he doesn't have to. At worst, I'll write a letter to the teacher later!"

He never pretended to be a docile sheep, but a goat that would kick its hooves at the slightest disagreement.

Roland looked back at Medici and added, "Mr. Red, I don't know what your relationship is with my teacher, but if you want to vent the anger you suffered from him on me, you're thinking too much. If you don't want to live with us, I'll write a letter to the teacher and ask you to leave."

The implication was, don't cause trouble, or get out.

"Ahem, Mr. Red, don't mind him. Jack is just more direct, he didn't mean to offend you. But if you really don't want to live with us, we can also write a letter to Mr. Lucifer to discuss it." Klein smoothed things over, but from his words, it was clear that he was still supporting Roland.

"Tsk, as expected, the big one is as difficult to deal with as the little one." Medici curled his lips, not disappointed. He was just trying it out. Now that he confirmed it, Roland, even if he was pretending to be an idiot, was not someone to be easily provoked.

He then stepped forward and said, "Alright, don't be angry. It was just a joke. If you mind, as an apology, I'll give you a hint!"

Medici paused here before lowering his voice and saying, "The Augustus family. If something big is going to happen in Backlund next, it must be related to the Augustus family. If you're interested, you can investigate it yourselves, but I don't recommend you go to your deaths."

Klein was shocked. Of course, he knew the Augustus family, the royal family of the Loen Kingdom.

So the big event in Backlund next is related to the Augustus family? Is it the Loen version of His Majesty's rebellion?

Various guesses flashed through Klein's mind, and he felt a headache coming on.

Roland unhurriedly grabbed Klein's luggage and, along with his own, stuffed it into Medici's hands, who was a step behind them. He smiled and said, "Thank you, Mr. Red."

Medici raised an eyebrow at the large and small bags in his hand and said unhappily, "You really treat me like a nanny!"

Roland smiled and said nothing, just expressing a sentence with his eyes—"After all, you're a professional!"

As everyone knows, the Red Priest's Red is not only the Red of War, but also the Red of Nannies. Medici took care of Amon since he was a child, and he can really be called a professional in taking care of cubs.

"Heh!" Medici could see Roland's teasing, sneered, but still picked up the luggage.

It wasn't that he was afraid of Roland, but mainly he was enduring humiliation for the sake of the Lord.

"So you see, Mr. Red is indeed a good person!" Roland then turned to Klein and said.

"Uh..." Klein didn't know what to say for a moment. He always felt that something had happened between the two in just a short period of time.

But considering Jack's personality, this was not surprising—although Jack didn't have much vigilance in interpersonal interactions, he was very sensitive to malice, so it was normal to be confrontational with Mr. Red, who was obviously malicious towards him.

Jack was never a pushover.

Klein could only shake his head in the end and decided to let them be.

The group of three then boarded a trolleybus and soon arrived at Roland's residence in Backlund, a three-story villa.

Roland took out the key, opened the door of the villa, and walked in, introducing to the two people next to him, "This is my home. The rightmost room on the second floor is my master bedroom, next to it is the teacher's bedroom. Sherlock, you can choose one of the two rooms on the left."

Roland looked up at Medici, smiled, and asked, "I wonder where Mr. Red wants to live. If there are any special needs, we also provide a basement here."

"Heh, I'll live on the third floor." Medici naturally heard what Roland was sarcastically saying. He didn't care too much about it, just sneered.

"Alright, there are also 4 rooms on the third floor, Mr. Red can choose one himself." Roland nodded, not minding. He then took the luggage from Medici's hand and began to introduce the layout of the entire house to the two of them. After the introduction, Roland reached out and wiped the table, and after seeing the thick layer of dust on it, he turned to look at Klein and Medici, and said seriously:

"But before we officially move in, we probably need to clean the house first."

"What, are you so poor that you don't even have the money to hire a maid?" Medici crossed his arms, and the moment he opened his mouth, he was being sarcastic.

Without a mistake, a first, a first, an inner, a capacity, a look!

"Yes, after all, there's one more freeloader, and it's inevitable that the money won't be enough. Perhaps Mr. Red wouldn't mind sponsoring a bit?" Roland smiled and looked at Medici.

"Heh!" Medici sneered and didn't answer.

Roland had already taken out a broom from somewhere and handed it to Medici, while saying, "If you don't plan to sponsor, then let's honestly sweep the floor!"

"...In ten minutes, someone will come to clean." Medici glanced at the red broom in Roland's hand and finally said unhappily.

"Thank you!" So Roland politely thanked him.

"Sherlock, let's go, I'll take you to choose a room." Roland pulled Klein next to him, and the two went up to the 2nd floor. Soon Klein chose the leftmost room as his bedroom.

After choosing a room, Klein seemed to hesitate for a moment, but still said, "Jack, if you really dislike Mr. Red, we can tell Mr. Lucifer."

Klein naturally could see that his little friend and Mr. Red were in a state of mutual dislike, and even Jack's aggressiveness had increased a lot. He rarely used sarcasm usually.

"Dislike? No!" Roland laughed when he heard this. He looked at Klein, smiled, and said, "Although he doesn't speak very nicely, why not have another nanny? Klein, haven't you noticed that Mr. Red only curses on the surface, but in reality, he's very honest? He looks like he knows how to take care of people."

"Uh..." Klein was silent for a few seconds and had to admit that Roland's words made sense.

Perhaps Mr. Red is really a good person with a tough exterior and a soft interior?
