[Nightmare]

128 [Otaku Delights]

—For the other sixty-five Earthians in this arena….—

"My name is Helix Hellsgate Margrave, and it's a pleasure to meet you for the first time!"

Confusion rippled through the super-otakus.

"Since I don't know who you are, we can be friends!" Helix yelled.

"It means that I can help you train and grow!"

The fifteen people that didn't send him Circles of Remembrances' eyes lit up with surprise and understanding.

Helix turned to the weebs.

"My time with you will be short. However, so long as you're in Alzeria, you don't have to worry about a single person harming you!"

All forty-five sets of eyes widened with shock.

"This man was going to abuse as many people as he wanted." Helix pointed out.

"Ladies! If this man ever gave you a creepy look… you're welcome."

An icy chill ran down their spines, and their bodies flooded with anxiety.

"Men! If you ever had beef with this man… you're welcome."

The men shook. Most weebs hated Ronka.

"Why do you look surprised? Was no one listening to what he just said?" Helix asked with a bewildered gaze.

"Did you think this man wouldn't do the same thing to you?"

Helix scoffed and turned his head away in disdain.

"So that's why I used violence. To save you from a beast.

Yet I only gave him scratches to immobilize him, and eliminate him as a threat.

His burns were caused by using lava on a freeze spell.

He tried to murder me, and hurt himself.

Recap.

He declared he'd kill me, tried to do it, and he left with scratches.

This is how decent human beings with power behave." He announced while wiping the blood off his sword.

Everyone in the arena was mesmerized by the person before them.

Even the people who knew him thought they had met him for the first time.

"Listen…." Helix announced with a calm voice and dramatic pause.

He sheathed his sword methodically.

"If you're not a beast, you're safe as long as I'm here." Helix announced with a quiet tone.

Everyone was listening with bated breath.

Though his volume was low, they didn't have a problem hearing everything.

"If you get angry, sad, or discouraged, that doesn't make you a beast." He continued.

"If you hate me, resent me, or fear me, you're human."

He turned to meet each gaze slowly.

"You can do as you wish. You can feel however you want to feel. These things do not concern me." Helix continued.

"But if you plot or attempt to harm Evan Alkman, Miko Nina, Lenard Simon…."

Helix listed all of the names present: except for Ronka and Lamath—

"I will strip you of your Nightmare." Helix warned with a calm voice.

He hated having to list out every name.

However, singling people out leads to resentment.

It turned out to be the right choice.

Every time someone heard their name, they understood that Helix didn't hold a grudge against them.

Pockets of smiles developed everywhere, and people wanted to celebrate.

"Everyone, please listen for a moment." Helix requested with pain in his eyes.

"Four months ago, a woman I loved was killed in front of my eyes by people like Ronka."

Silence overcame the arena.

The revelation compressed the atmosphere, and the Knights and teachers could hear every gust of wind.

"Do you remember what it felt like when I rushed in and crushed your strongest without trying?" Helix chuckled bitterly.

The people present looked to the ground with bitter expressions.

"It's horrible, isn't it? Now, imagine if Ronka was your lover."

A wave of shivers ran down people's spines.

"That's what happened to me and what was happening to Leo, Sarah, and four other women ten minutes ago."

The women present started crying, and Leo started choking.

"Do you want to feel that again?" Helix asked with trembling eyes.

An uncomfortable wave of emotions washed over the crowd.

They were connected through synesthesia.

"Because that was what was about to be your daily life."

More than two dozen people started choking up or crying.

"Please, let me hear your voices now." Helix requested with a calm voice laced with sorrow.

"Do you want to live in fear on purpose?"

The crowd was awkward and quiet.

However, one person spoke up with passion.

Leo.

"No!" He screamed.

It was a spark.

A single trigger.

Then an explosion of [no] variation detonated in the center of both sides.

Tears, cries, and expressions of pain and frustration burst forth like a title wave.

Helix circled to see the faces of everyone present.

"Do you miss Earth, where laws protected you and allowed you to live peaceful lives?"

Ripples of [yes] variations and screams rushed forth.

"I do too." Helix confessed with trembling eyes.

He met every person's gaze, including his partners.

"So I'd like to bring that world back, for myself and everyone present." He announced with a gentle, sincere voice.

Smiles washed over their faces when they realized someone strong was backing their world.

"We can do that. However, before I tell you how, I'd like to welcome you to Alzeria." Helix announced with a warm smile.

"Who misses soda?" Helix asked loudly.

Cheers came from almost all of the Knights.

"There's something very similar to it, and I can point out a powder that makes carbonation.

Do you want me to tell you what it is and where to find it?" He asked with a slight smile.

Cheers of joy exploded from the soda lovers.

Since the Knights were otakus and weebs, that was… mostly everyone.

Some people started howling in excitement.

It was shocking to Helix.

"Okay. It's called Alka, and two shops sell it on Burlow Street." Helix announced.

"The powder is called Star Sparkles. I think it's cute."

The women started giggling, and the men were satisfied hearing the word [soda].

"Ladies, do you want to feel comfortable in your clothing again?" He asked with a mysterious smile.

The women looked at him in confusion.

He touched his neck and pulled out some items.

Aggressive whispering waved through the crowd like falling dominos.

"That's right! These are yoga pants made in Kozen.

I worked with a world-class designer to recreate them." He laughed.

"Dozens of pairs are going on auction, and I'll be rewarding three of these to women that help keep this place put together."

Excited cheers exploded through the crowd.

"Men! I have something special.

You'll have to fight the women for them, but when you find someone special…." Helix announced with a mysterious smile.

"Ladies. If you please."

Helix turned to Marie, Charlotte, and Riley.

They nodded, touched their necks, and pulled out items.

Gasps of shock erupted through the groups.

"A-Are those…."

"I think… so…."

"I… I want them!"

"How much!"

"Please, pick me!"

A floodgate of excitement washed over the crowd.

"Everyone! Please stay put. Everyone can buy these at auction!" Helix laughed in a bold tone.

"Moreover, those women are more powerful than I am."

Everyone stopped moving in shock.

The super-otakus and power-weebs fell silent.

"Woah…. Where'd your excitement go? " Helix chuckled.

"It's okay to be excited, just don't smother my partners.

There are cat ears for sale, designed by those women right there!"

The excitement started building up again.

Many super-otakus caught the admission that their [Fairies] were his [partners].

He sighed internally.

"Oh~men. Did I forget to mention?" Helix called out.

"There are cosplay items too!"

Roars of excitement washed over the crowd.

Helix and his partners exchanged evil grins.

He was putting Samma through hell with the Stalkwalker orders, so he made sure to lay it on thick.

"When we were in Kozen, we picked up hair dye and had Earthian clothing made to bring back here." Helix announced.

Shock washed over the crowd again.

"There's an entire caravan with cat ears, cosplay, yoga pants, pajamas, v-neck shirts, suits, coats, and every other type of Earthian clothing item imaginable."

Helix panned the crowd.

"Do you like the coat?" He asked while popping the collar.

Explosions of ecstasy washed over the groups.

Macron made eye contact with Marie, Charlotte, and Riley.

He had never been so confused by the change in pace before.

They smiled and shrugged in response.

"Thank you. I like it too." He chuckled.

Super-otakus and power-weebs were starting to warm up.

The only people that weren't excited were Lamath and Ronka's three closest friends.

They weren't concerned about their [friend].

They were afraid because they had a history of doing whatever they wanted.

"Who misses hot tubs?" Helix asked with a mysterious smile.

Excited murmurs spread through the crowd like wildfire.

"I do?" An otaku man called out.

"Me too." A weeb female sounded.

The flood gates broke again on answers.

Helix chuckled and raised his hand to request silence.

Once everyone calmed down, he circled the arena for dramatic effect.

"Excellent, because I have some." Helix announced with a slight smile.

The cheers in the arena couldn't get louder.

After the cheering began, citizens filed into the stadium, thinking that an event was happening.

Soon the news spread, and dozens of people started arriving.

The teachers were stunned in disbelief.

"These are magic circles. Their only purpose is to shoot delightful jets of water." He chuckled.

"This one keeps water heated to the perfect temperature."

The young men and women in the audience were drooling.

Citizens joining had no idea what a hot tub was, but the Earthian's reactions made them want one.

"These hot tub circles are not for sale!" Helix proclaimed aggressively.
